Any army I should think. I can't think of any situation where a lowly enlisted soldier can talk that kind of shit to an officer. Even an SGM adds sir after telling a Lt to piss off.
@@TheAKgunner What rubbish!. Even in my time in service, during the sixties and seventies, (when discipline was not as severe as it was in the time of WW2) it was unthinkable that you would address even an NCO in that manner, let alone a commissioned officer. A guard/sentry has the duty to restrict access per the orders he has been given. He also has the obligation to be respectful to those of superior rank, and maintain good order and military discipline as laid out in the Kings Regulations.
My dad served as a SNCO in the middle east during WWII, and there is no way on earth that a soldier on guard duty would have been so slovenly: he would have saluted using his rifle and never dared speak to an officer in such a manner. As an ex squaddie in the British Army myself, I can categorically state: this scene is utter bollocks.
Was Sterling demoted to Lieutenant from Captain ? If not, why do his uniform epaulets have holes where a third pip has been removed ? Officers buy their own uniforms so Sterling’s tunic is unlikely to be a hand-me- down.
May not have been the case back then, but nowadays officers will purchase their No1 tunics but are issued No2 tunics, which will have often been issued to others before
Behaviour so far from reality it is comical. The sentry wouldn't speak or behave that way and if he did an officer would have had him detained immediately.
I served as a sentry in a war posting. One rule was that you always outrank any rank that approached you. Another rule however was that you always have to be courteous and polite.

The girl is quite authentic actually. There were thousands of women from the Caribbean and the colonies the traveled to England to join the ATS, WAAF and WRENS. A guard can tell an officer to fuck off. A Private standing guard outranks a Lieutenant Colonel without a pass.

What is the name of the film?
It's a tv series SAS ROGUE HEROES
Behaviour so far from reality it is comical. The sentry wouldn't speak or behave that way and if he did an officer would have had him detained immediately.
Bet your fun at parties arent you...
Get a life mate. It's a drama not a documentary. Wouldn't be much fun or show much character if we watched him wait around for permission would it?

You’d think they’d have given him the proper sized crutches. That’s painful to watch. 😳
were can i see this in Mexico , no plataform has it
Usa una VPN y de cabeza a Max (HBO). La tienes bajo el nombre de "Los hombres del SAS". En poco debería salir la segunda temporada.
It's BBC so i'm guessing BBC America? No idea if you get that there.
The book is true .SAS began with Stirling and Lewis.
I thought that " do up your top button soldier" line became lame in 1960s War Movies. Seems they are still using it.
they more than likely think it's new
Maybe.... the producers thought that because this is set in 1942 it's earlier than 1960s war films, which would let them get away with it?

The BBC should be banned from making historical dramas as they all end up as hysterical dramas , what a load of rubbish .,
