- Welcome back to Strangetown and a brand new sims 2 build video! Today we're working on one of the weirdest houses Maxis has ever made.🏡🛸
Pascal, Lazlo, and Vidcund Curious reside in 2 Cover Up Road, an odd observatory-like building positioned on the tallest hill in Strangetown. The three brothers all work in the science career and have a fascination for aliens, most likely due to their heritage. 👽
Pascal is preggo with an alien baby, Vidcund is growing suspicious plants in his greenhouse, and Lazlo is befriending questionable dogs with glowing eyes...
Stay tuned for the rest of our Strangetown speed builds! This house makeover is part of my big Sims 2 Lot Renovation project where I intend to remake all of the Maxis lots and give them my own twist.

Love your makeovers! Always appreciate how you highlight the pre-mades personalities and traits with your decor choices, and staying true to the spirit of the original houses!
My game with them is a little wild. Pascal is raising his alien daughter Astra to be a "perfect" child while figuring out how to release Nervous from his captivity, Vidcund's alien encounter led to quadruplets, while Lazlo is the happy, fun uncle to his nieces and nephews while he looks for his own path in life. Its a full house 😂
How did Vidcund get quadruplets?! You can't get triplets in TS2, let alone quadruplets!

The Curious Brothers are literally my favorite household in Strangetown!
😭💞 Pascal is my favorite, I love his & nervous subject relationship.

The vibes in here are IMMACULATE. I think you captured the Curious brothers wonderfully!!! Lazlo is my favourite Curious brother, but I love playing them all. Their storyline is so fun!

Edit: I LOVED STRANGERVILLE! I would love more worlds that play into a storyline in sims 4. Maybe with a couple of different endings next time for replay ability, but Strangerville’s story, world and build items were great, and I still use them often when I play Sims 4.

I will most likely upload my lots separately in the future, but it'll take me a while to clean them up and prepare them for sharing.
Bibi I am in love with how you chose to renovate the Curious household🥹 It’s so eccentric and colorful and I love it for their wacky personalities! My favorite part was the yard deco💚
My favorite brother is Lazlo because I, too, enjoy the little things in life like potato chips and napping. Also I see Lazlo as more of a plant-lover. He wants to grow what he inhales, ya know? 😅😂 More of a reason to love the plants!
In my game, I renovated their house to look like some kind of modern/reno warehouse vibe? If that makes sense? The bathrooms, living room, and kitchen are all very modern looking and then the bedrooms are so colorful and groovy😎 I think Vidcund is more “hoity-toity” than his brothers so his room looks more “professional” while still showing his love for the galactic culture. I also gave them a garage, but it doesn’t serve as a garage. It serves more as their lab. The more normal the house appears, the more General Buzz won’t go snooping🤔
I had Vidcund stay in the science career.
I had Lazlo go into the natural science career since it focuses on the ecosystem and his love for plants.
And then I had Pascal go into aerospace engineering in order to learn how spacecraft functions.

hdghgs waaaiiitttt your description of Vidcund as hoity-toity I love it 😂😂😂 Your reno sounds awesome, definitely makes sense to go for a more low-down outward appearance to avoid unwarranted attention from the anti-alien military.
What if piggy is an alien dog who's spying and collecting intell on sims? 👽 maybe that's why piggy us so different lol

Yay! Another build video 🎉 I never noticed until looking at this again as an adult how the "greenhouse" room is maybe hinting that they enjoy growing a certain type of plant haha. Maybe now that you turned it into a more visible typical greenhouse, you can create a different type for them in a basement 😂

Edit 2: just finished and youre too hard on yourself i think this house turned out incredible as always. I love how each house you decorate is so different and you really lean into the characters and add so many details that build off the lore and add to it. I especially love the kitchen!
And i love the changes you made to the exterior with the spiral staircases. I always loved the idea of how they had to walk up so many stairs to access that telescope but it definitely looked insane, especially with that one unspoorted ledge
there's definitely a shading "gardening" operation going on at this house 😂 I'm glad you like the house! I didn't have a very specific vision for it so I made many revisions and wasn't feeling 100% abt things, but the end result has grown on me now.
I put this on to have as background while I played and then didn’t open my save file the whole time! What a fun build!

Once again, brilliant makeover of a lot. The Curious brothers are really sweet and fun to play. If I had to choose one, it'd be Pascel. I see him as a really sweet fatherly type.
Funny you should say Vidcund should end up as a Plantsim and Lazlo a werewolf, because that's what they ended up becoming in Alt Strangetown by Dreadpirate, and that's what I've done with them in my own game too. Here's what else I did with them. Pascel's boy was named Tycho [nod to TS2 PSP] while Vidcund's girl was named Nova [nod to TS4].
They also ended up happily married too. Pascel ended up with Kristen Loste, Vidcund ended up with Erin Beaker [dose of irony, as he had a crush on Circe; Erin's sister-in-law], and Lazlo is with Crystal Vu. I'll talk more about Kristen and Erin in the Singles bit, but Crystal is in the medical career. My story for her is that she lost her mother very young, and she is hoping to save others from the dreaded diseases. And as a fellow scientist, Lazlo helps Crystal find clues to help cure others of sickness too. Lazlo and Crystal also have a child.
I love this. You made the build your own while still keeping the original vision and vibes intact :)
Gosh, you really outdid yourself with this one! I am amazed by your builds! Just in awe, seriously :) I love all the colors! I love how you kept the bathroom and added a wall to put the sink there?! Genius. I don’t care how long it takes in between videos-they are so worth waiting for! So don’t strain your eyes too much 😄♥️
I don't blame you adding a second floor, it was required to have for this home! I did something similar so that there is more space to be used for the future alien babies. But maintained its original tower-like style so they can check the stars... 🔭🌠 (🛸) I made my version look more like a industrial lab with random nerdy clutter. But I adore the usage of black and whites with the hippy aesthetic too in your redesign. 👽💚
Also I can see a Scooby Doo-like van for the Curious brothers? 🤭

Nice!! I will say if you wanna make Lazlo a werewolf, look into some mods, specifically for personality because I think it changes them which can be pretty annoying.

Funny you should mention werewolves... Lazlo is one in my Uberhood. 😅 now everyone wants to either be one or have Lazlo cured. It's annoying more than anything else. 🤦🏻♀️
I haven't played him much as a werewolf yet but don't anticipate it being too exciting. He creeps around, freezes my game and that's about it. 🤷🏽♀️🤣
My fave supernatural is the alien species. The rest are kind of meh. 🙃

Hiya Bibi, felt the need to place a second comment here. This is SUCH a good build, it looks so fun to play in! Love the lighting in the kitchen, so amazing! I was wondering how you got that situation happening where there is only a countertop and no cabinet underneath. I know there is a default countertop item but that only has 3 recolors. What’s the trick you used?🥰Also, I love the 80’s vibe going on here. I was wondering what’d happen if I let Vidcunt and Circe Beaker get together, make her suit the vibe as well. I just think it’d be so funny if she’d want to leave her current husband for the plantobsessed hippie’ish alien fanatic😂

ahhh I understand it's a hassle, but I can't share custom content like that because most creators have different terms and conditions and usually don't allow resharing.
I will do a full list in the future with mods/cc for different purposes which will make it easier to find many downloads in one place.

I've downloaded enough mods and I still don't quite like the behavior of the sims.. By the way, maybe you should download a mod from CJ or someone that won't change your character's personality when you transform
