I have been making something similar for years but I make mine in the crockpot. I use 2 jars of peanuts, some almond bark and a couple bags of dark chocolate and milk chocolate. When it’s melted and I have stirred it, I use a small cookie scoop and put the scoop into mini muffin tins lined with mini muffin liners. Then we put a few sprinkles on top and it looks very festive but it’s so easy and it makes a ton. Merry Christmas!
I've made these for years, always adding semisweet chips in the melting chocolate over a double boiler. Great idea using the muffin tin! I use peanuts then after I get a tray of those I add some marshmallows
My husband's birthday is Dec 23rd and I sent him to work with crockpot candy. He came home with empty containers. I also made peanut butter rice crispy balls from a video I found on TH-cam. They were a hit. ❤😊
My recipe just calls for chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. I only used cashews as my daughter didn't like the peanuts. So easy to make and so good,
@@childofgod3675I had the same issue. I made the crockpot version for the first time a couple weeks ago. Was told to not stir for the first hour and then stir every 15 min for the next hour. Well by the end of the first hour, the sides were burning. I scraped out the burned bits and then stirred again in 15 minutes. It was getting way too thick and still burning. I was worried I’d have to throw the whole thing away so just set the crockpot on warm while I was making other desserts. Decided to melt another bag of chocolate chips into it and it seemed like a better texture and thickness. I tasted it and couldn’t taste any burnt. Long story short, I was able to salvage the whole thing by switching the crockpot to warm instead of low. They turned out really tasty. If I make them again I’ll either use only the warm setting the whole time or just just forgo the crockpot all together and just microwave. Seems much easier. I’d rather wash a glass bowl.
I tried these and they're delicious! On the next batch; I added some pretzels pieces for different flavor. Easy to make, and they freeze well, thank you, Kristen. 🎄
Hi there, Im 73, I came across this on my tv TH-cam, at about 5 am bathroom run !!! Sounds Sooo GREAT 👍, just as You made them, would Love to try them just like it !!! But, since I'm a Diabetic with Heart issues, 🥜🥜🥜 with No Salt would be Great, and I would Use DARK Chocolate. Woukd not be so bad for me then🙂!!! Ive never been one to attempt making Candy, but You make these Sooo Simply and Foolproof !!! 😊 Thank You, Sooo Much & A Very Merry Christmas 🎄 & Happy 2024 !!!
You are never too old to learn a new trick.😅 I use a double boiler to melt the chips. That is always an option if you don't wajt to watch the microwave. I love these!!
My double boiler was always too full once I started adding the peanuts so I switched to the microwave method last years. 😁 But however we make them....soooo good! 😍
Mine is 2 ingredients, milk chocolate chips and roasted sea salt peanuts. In a pot on the stovetop melt the chocolate slowly once melted add peanuts form clusters on a cookie sheet and put in the fridge.
Super easy! I'd be tempted to just pour the whole mixture into a parchment lined 9x13 pan, or even a jelly roll pan. When cool, cut into squares. Who knows? Maybe even easier!
They are SO easy and my favorite candy. And yes, you are right. They smell - and taste - wonderful! It's a perfect flavor combination. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
You are welcome to try that substitution if you like! I love the combination of the three, but if you don't care for butterscotch, feel free to add another bag of the other!
Would this recipe work using pecans? I am allergic to peanuts, but I can still eat peanut butter-creamy only. I have pretty well switched to pecans for nuts.
You could easily substitute milk or dark chocolate for the semi-sweet. Either of those would work easily! And as for pecans, I think it would work fine too. I can't give you an exact estimate but pour them into the chocolate and nuts are pretty thick - but you want a bit of extra chocolate left. Just play it by eye and let me know how it goes - and how they taste!
Although I haven't tried it, I think you could definitely substitute another kind of nuts. Just add them slowly until the consistency looks right. As for oatmeal, I would try a different recipe like this one instead - joyfullythriving.com/no-bake-chocolate-oatmeal-cookies/
With bagged chocolate chips, i find i have to temper it or, even if refrigerated to set, once on a dish on the table, soon the chocolate becomes sticky in the fingers when picked up, leaving a fudgy residue. That shouldn't happen, but it does. So i found i had to temper in melting chocolate chips to keep that from happening 😢
Hmmm. That is so interesting! Does it happen with all brands of chocolate chips for you? I have never experienced that with my Ghiradelli or Nestlé. But I am glad you found a workaround by tempering the chocolate! 👏
I personally don't. I have heard of someone who stirred in those mini caramel balls right before scooping so it didn't really melt all that much. If I were going to add caramel, that is what I would do. But for me, I find the chocolate / peanut butter / butterscotch flavor to be perfect as is! 😍
Nope. Peanuts. Butterscotch chips. Peanut butter chips. Chocolate chips. 4 ingredients. And they turn glossy as they harden! No coconut oil needed - in my opinion!
I don't think they are too bad but that is up to you. I just got a huge container of nuts for under $5 to make these clusters. Besides, peanuts are way cheaper than other nuts!
Here's the printable link for these easy peanut clusters! joyfullythriving.com/peanut-cluster-candies/
Yum! Sweet and salty combos are the best. 🤩
Aren't they??? It really is the perfect combo!

@@angelam5103 Sounds like you made him great birthday treats! 😍
I was going to say, that sounds like a recipe for a big batch!! But, hey! It's CHOCOLATE! It won't last!😂❤
My recipe just calls for chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. I only used cashews as my daughter didn't like the peanuts. So easy to make and so good,
So many different tweaks! I love cashews too so think those would be amazing!
They look so delicious Merry Christmas God Bless You 😊
They are so delicious! Merry Christmas to you too, Rita!
I ❤ peanut clusters. Thank you for this recipe! I am going to make this right after I go to the store today 😊
You are so welcome! I am actually going to make another batch this week too, after giving out most of these in teacher gifts! 🥰
Yum! So much easier than a crock pot. Who wants to clean that heavy thing?
I agree! I used to use a double boiler but this way is soooo much easier! 😊
Use the crockpot liners😊
Slow cooker with liner,inside
I tried the crockpot version. The recipe said 2 hours on low. Mine started burning by an hour and half. All that wasted food!

I think I’ll add raisins to mine.
Thanks for sharing!
I am not a raisin fan myself, but feel free to try it if you like raisins! 😁 Enjoy the easy recipe!
Almost like a chunky @
That sounds like a chunky candy bar

An even simpler version! Thanks for sharing your recipe twist!
Yum yum!!
😍😍😍
Super easy! I'd be tempted to just pour the whole mixture into a parchment lined 9x13 pan, or even a jelly roll pan. When cool, cut into squares. Who knows? Maybe even easier!
If you try it that way, let me know how it turns out! I think the peanuts could make it a challenge to cut, but it would be super easy!!! 👌
I just love these with marshmallow and those caramel balls incorporated in, as well, but not totally melted!! Oh, yummy!
I have done it with marshmallows but never thought of adding the caramel bars! Brilliant! I am definitely going to have to try that twist sometime!
I got the ingredients today. THANK YOU! 😊
You're welcome! I hope you love them!
Thank you for another great recipe! I appreciate what you do for all of us.

Looks delicious 🤤
Thank you! 😋 They are sooo good!
Is it semi sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips???
I always use semi-sweet....for everything when I bake! 😊 But I am sure it could work with milk chocolate.
Thank you hun
You're welcome! Enjoy!
Hi,
Can you use something other than butterscotch?
Maybe double up on the other’s.
You are welcome to try that substitution if you like! I love the combination of the three, but if you don't care for butterscotch, feel free to add another bag of the other!
Looks delish 😋
Definitely one of my favorite treats! 😍
Yummy 😋❤
😋😍
Would this recipe work using pecans? I am allergic to peanuts, but I can still eat peanut butter-creamy only. I have pretty well switched to pecans for nuts.
I have made something close to this and always used cashews. So I would think pecans would be good too,
I think you could use any kind of nuts for this recipe, honestly! Peanuts are my go to but try it with pecans and let me know what you think!

❤️🥰❤️
Have you ever used dark/milk chocolate with pecans instead ? Wonder if that would be good. One of my daughters has a peanut allergy.

How do you make them with creme inside?
I don't make mine with creme inside...so I don't know exactly what you are asking. Sorry!
With bagged chocolate chips, i find i have to temper it or, even if refrigerated to set, once on a dish on the table, soon the chocolate becomes sticky in the fingers when picked up, leaving a fudgy residue. Can you add Carmel to this candy
I personally don't. I have heard of someone who stirred in those mini caramel balls right before scooping so it didn't really melt all that much. If I were going to add caramel, that is what I would do. But for me, I find the chocolate / peanut butter / butterscotch flavor to be perfect as is! 😍
If you put 3 tbsp of butter in it it will make it taste more like milk chocolate and creamy
Good to know! I like the semi-sweet flavor myself but that is good for those who want a milk chocolate flavor.
That was only 3 ingredients.....was the 4th supposed to be coconut oil to make the candies glossy???
Nope. Peanuts. Butterscotch chips. Peanut butter chips. Chocolate chips. 4 ingredients. And they turn glossy as they harden! No coconut oil needed - in my opinion!
Why did I watch this. I dont have peanuts..
Definitely makes you want to add peanuts to the grocery list, doesn't it? 😂
Use whatever nuts you have.
I don’t have the butterscotch or peanut chips
Nuts r way to high this day time to buy 8:21 8:22
I don't think they are too bad but that is up to you. I just got a huge container of nuts for under $5 to make these clusters. Besides, peanuts are way cheaper than other nuts!
