@@patriciaribaric3409you are correct about this. Sugar Pops had the frog named Dig ‘em as a mascot. I remember that because it was my grandma’s favorite cereal. @@kunkmiceter Yes I did and I should have done the full batch not half. Grandboys inhaled it. Added fresh pecans halfway through and they were nicely toasted.
Even on recipes that call for unsalted butter, I’ve never found that a little extra salt from salted butter made a dish worse. If anything, it makes it better. I once heard that the difference between home cooks and professional chefs is the amount of butter and salt they use. Humans love salt and butter, even though we know it’s unhealthy, but we don’t see into the kitchen just how much they are using.
Some times a recipe will call for unsalted and the only time they are correct is when frying in a high heat skillet, the salted butter can turn brown & burn much easier than salted butter.

I just found your channel. I enjoy it very much. Your style of showing how to make these delicious recipes is easy to follow. It makes a world of difference to have your positive attitude saying, “ it’s that simple and easy.” Thank you. 😊
I don’t usually keep corn syrup, but I need to test this recipe with honey or maple syrup. And other types of cereals! I love recipes with lots of possibilities!
Hey Ken, I didn't think about using this cereal...I had used "Kix" cereal before. Gotta try this too, yum!! There are so many different goodies to coat in caramel.😁 Oyster crackers and even the round pretzels are delicious!! The sky is the limit, adding peanuts or any of your favorite nut is amazing too. Big hugs from Texas!!🤩😋
I have a whole Pinterest page that’s “Cracked out on Pinterest” and all the recipes have the word crack in it lol, Christmas Crack, Crack Dip, Crack Chicken, etc. Just makes me laugh that a bunch of home makers and hight quality men have the word crack in their recipes 😂
I was also thinking this looked like the caramel corn I love to make. I never thought of using cereal. I love Corn Pops, and I would guess you could use any cereal. I love Kix. Remember those? I'm going to be making it with Corn Pops first though.
This looks so good - I want to make it but I do not like having to take it out of the oven every 15 minutes to stir. Lazy cook I am. I actually will give it a try. Thank you for this video!
Reminds me of making peanut brittle. This looks like a good recipe to try. Gives me an idea, put 1 box of cereal in a pan and the other in a different pan. Add nuts to only 1 pan so there is a choice. Thanks.
You can also use puff corn instead of cereral to make these. Aldi's has the puff corn and cheeto brand has puff corn too. This recipe taste like the Buc-ee's nuggets😊
I am not a big fan of anyone associating food with a lethal drug but the recipe looks terrific and I will be making this for Christmas treats this year. Thank you. Liked and subbed.

This looks good, wonder how it'd be if you addrd some salted peanuts? OR after cooking add some M&M's ? You could really get creative with this recipe❤ Thank you for sharing!
My grocery list for goodies to make this year is getting longer!! I have a question...would this benefit being turned out on parchment or wax paper for cooling? Or will the pops on the bottom still get crunchy too? Thanks for a great recipe. I am soooooo looking forward to the holidays..I don`t dare make your goodie recipes ahead of time lol
Does anyone remember Sugar Jets? I don’t think they were a Kellogg’s cereal, maybe Post. Anyway, I loved them as a kid. Ate ‘em as a snack, right out of the box. Was sad to see them discontinued.
