    Thanks for this video, answered my questions about doing a flip cup first and adding all the stones/glitter and resin last. ❤️

    Beautiful and I love these colors. I’ve been pouring for a few months but have not ventured into the decorated geodes. Would like to start but I suppose I need to start with a more simple design. And I’ve no experience with resin. Is it possible to do a geode with just the wet paint and the glitter and small chips as you did? Do the chips adhere to the surface once it’s dried? Can a glossy varnish be applied over the dried piece? Just want to understand what works. Thanks.

    • @MauzyCreations
      @MauzyCreations  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. The glitter sticks to wet paint. The glass chips did too but not sure if they would stay stuck without a resin layer. What you could do is superglue them on after the painting has dried . That should work!! Good luck!

    SO psyched to try this LOVE how it came out~abs beautiful!!! I've tried adding very fine glitter to my paints w/success but have yet to try using resin~kinda scares me for some reason lol! But guess thats what makes it look so good & assume helps holds the glitter & crushed mirror on canvas?

    Is it possible to add the glass chips to a dried pour ?If so would you know what glue to use ?I am from Australia 🇦🇺🙏

    • @MauzyCreations
      @MauzyCreations  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Janet Griffiths hi yes it would be possible. I have done it with mod podge but you could also try hot glue gun. I'm sure there are plenty of things you could try. Perhaps even e6000

    Hi!! What is the name of the bag of glass chips and where do you purchase them from? Thank you! 🤗🤗🤗

    • @MauzyCreations
      @MauzyCreations  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Elba hi. They are mirror chips from the garden section of a hardware store- got them from Bunnings.

  • @janetgriffiths1534
    @janetgriffiths1534 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Maureen ,I have just completed an abstract textured acrylic art piece and would like to embellish it with some mirror chips would you know if I add them after I seal the painting or before( .its not with resin )Thank you in anticipation .

    • @MauzyCreations
      @MauzyCreations  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure you could add them after. For my chakra paintings (see my channel) I used Mod podge on dried acrylic paintings to add crystal chips. I did cover with resin but I didn't need to.

    • @MauzyCreations
      @MauzyCreations  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Most canvases are already primed... if so, then no need. But you can if you want to.

    • @MauzyCreations
      @MauzyCreations  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glenda Paul hi. Thankyou. This started off as an acrylic paint pour then used Mastercast resin I believe for the other layers.

    How did you get like no cells? I really hate the cells that appear when you do an acrylic pour so I was wondering how you prevented that

    • @MauzyCreations
      @MauzyCreations  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. From memory I did not add any silicone to this because I knew ahead of time that I wanted to resin afterwards and didn't want to deal with divots.

  • @capistranodecor4997
    @capistranodecor4997 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi !! When you add the resin , your acrylic paint was wet or completely dry ???

    • @MauzyCreations
      @MauzyCreations  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The base layer was acrylic paint. This was dry when the resin went on.

    I don't usually like glitter and sparkly bits - but this isn't bad.

  • @VioletTakacs

    Very nice. After the painting died, did you mix the glitter with resin and added it to the painting?

    • @MauzyCreations
      @MauzyCreations  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. I did both. I added glitter to the wet paint. Then I also added glitter to the resin.

    • @MauzyCreations
      @MauzyCreations  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Carolyn. It was actually an acrylic pour initially. And then resin was added afterwards.

    What does the blow torch do?

    • @MauzyCreations
      @MauzyCreations  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It pops bubbles and helps cells to come up.

    Was resin added before the stones, etc?

    • @MauzyCreations

      The first layer was acrylic paint. Glitter and mirror chips added to wet paint. More was added later in resin.
