Key Battery change Ford Ranger

How to change out your Ford Ranger key battery and how to save it if you put it through the washing machine (twice). Only clean the internals if you have to if there is any corrosion inside. Doing this saved me from buying a new key for $500

You don't prise it off with a knife. There's a release tab in the side where the blade folds in. You push that in.you can see the hole where it is just above the battery at 21 secs

Battery is a CR2032 Which you can buy at a Dollar Tree for a Buck (for 2 Batteries) Went over 2 yrs before I changed the Battery; so 2+yrs for 50 Cents is better than paying your Ford Dealer 25 dollars or more ...
