    Thank you so much. I follow you for almost 2 or 3 days and it helps me a lot. These verbs are a huge problem for me and thanks to you, I can understand it. Thanks to you I have more vocabulary. I need it because I'm in the European section of English of my high school and as u said it's very common so thank you a lot !

    This is truly excellent! A lot of my students here in Romania try to avoid phrasal verbs whenever possible! (Romanian goes to the other extreme: there's a special verb for "to take off your shoes", for example.)

    So, when native kids learns about a new phrasal verb like TAKE OFF, do they have to learn the meaning and context, or can they make out the meaning by putting the two words together and understanding that TAKE OFF means to go up in the air? As a non native speaker, when I first read Take off, I could guess nothing beyond “to remove something”.

    Hey, teacher. Nice vids x
    Could you help us how to use the word "though" at the end of a sentence and its meaning?
    Greetings from Mexico 😊

    • @EatSleepDreamEnglish
      @EatSleepDreamEnglish  6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hey Post blue, the meaning of 'though' is the same as 'however' or 'but'. It can go at the beginning or end of a clause e.g. 1. 'It's going to rain today, though I'm not sure when' 2. 'I'm looking for a job, it's not easy though'

    Hi Tom When should I split a phrasal verb and when I shouldn't? Thanks in advance

    • @EatSleepDreamEnglish
      @EatSleepDreamEnglish  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question Made in Acre. So as I said in the lesson you never split intransitive phrasal verbs. For transitive phrasal verbs you simply have to learn which can and which can't be split. With a phrasal verb like 'take off' you can choose to split the verb and particle or not. The meaning stays the same, it's simply up to you to decide. Sorry it's not more clear than that.
