I’ve had 4 cystoscopies in 4 years-2 different docs with full access to my records. 2 in office and 2 under anesthesia, each horribly painful and not helpful in that they provided no new information. It feels like laziness and a money grab especially when the issue is already known. So relieved to being going a different route with you, Dr. B!

Excellent! Yes! Cystocopy is both over utilized but also underutilized due to it not being used fully as a tool to investigate bladder issues beyond ruling out Cancer. Thank you, Dr. B! You are amazing!

I need to see you desperately. Live in Beckley West Virginia. 21/2years fighting this ESBL E COLI. Been septic and daughter found me air lifted to UVA Charlottesville VA. BEEN hospitalized. Last year alone 6 bad bouts with IV MEDS. EACH TIME left a little weaker and more frail. Since March been in D-mannose twice daily with d-mannose water everyday. Only thing holding the bacteria at bay. But it’s still there. Tried holistic/homeopathic meds. Same bacteria just keeps coming back. Help. These thing gonna kill me. I’m 70 so don’t have normal symptoms. One DR told if don’t have symptoms don’t treat. Tried to tell them if going to be in IV MEDS need more than two weeks cause it just keeps coming back. They don’t listen.will need information concerning reasonable hotel near Dr office.

Thank you Dr B for explaining this to us. I do not want a scope but I feel after 16 years it is needed o rule out other conditions inside my bladder and I don't want Just any urologist doing it. I want someone who will help detect other issues inside my bladder.. Dr B you are the only Dr I trust to do the cystoscopy and accurately look inside my bladder. They diagnosed me with IC at 16 and I have had 2 scopes my entire life. I am now 41 and I feel it should be done to rule out other issues. I do feel I also have chronic infection as well. I love you Dr B for helping each patient the way you do and taking the time you take for us.

Hey, I'm 28. As of Dec 2022 I fell into chronic UTI pain. I was misdiagnosed with IC by urology nurse. After months of pain with hardcore diet, I went to my gyno and he did a urinary catheter. This diagnosed bacteria inside me. However, the pain did not fully go away. And, once again, my results kept coming out negative. I know that I still have bacteria inside me, I am in the USA. Thankfully, I am from Europe. I went to a European market and bought Nitroxoline. This is a common antibiotic used for UTI, it's cancer cell suppressant and against biofilm infections. It completely took away my pain. Every case is different, but if you believe you have a chronic infection. I highly recommend Nitroxoline.

This happens to me when I have a culture. It’s always negative but antibiotics always help. I suppose urine was diluted from going so much. Dipstick did show an infection.

I’d like to know your thoughts on MRI imaging of the pelvis ( when all other tests are negative) especially when the PT is complaining of UTI SX, pelvic pain and other SX

You might want to call his office with that question but I've heard of younger people he has treated.
