Great reaction. Band Maid is the best rock group on the planet, hands down. They don't get locked into any one sub-genre, but do it all. Hard, Punk, Prog.....you name it, they do. And they also delve into harder, more metal-ly tracks also. The Non-Fiction Days is one of my favorite tracks of theirs, but from what I have read, it isn't one of Kanami's compositions, it's from before they were allowed by the label to use their own music. If you want to see a really great fan participation video, react to the song "Don't You Tell Me" from the finale concert in Yokohama in 2023 for their Ten-Year Anniversary. It will also show you the development of Saiki as one of the top frontwomen in music today. It's a banger and a half.

If you like Saki and Miku harmonizations, listen to their song Freezer. There is no video, only audio from their New Beginning CD. You will love them harmonization and how they play off each other’s vocals.
The rhythm and the guitar solos work well together because Kanami recorded both guitars herself in the studio. I don't know how it happens now, but it was always like that back then.
i,ve only heard a couple of reactors diss the maid outfits when they first see them. but when they find out that miku actually worked in one of those maid cafes and put forth the idea to combine hard rock with that look - then they get it. problem over ! and it did not take long for misa and saiki to develop their own look . although misa was supposed to be a chinese maid assassin - i don't see that ! now she's just the bassassin.
Saiki (Sy-kee) These girls were freezing during this shoot. They're either hot, freezing, wet or all the above, real troopers for their fans. For me, the Miku/Saiki duo is the best thing in Rock since the B52's Cindy/Kate pairing.....but that's just me.
You know you have reacted to songs that have videos, but trust me, there are so so many awesome songs deserving of videos that so many reactors ignore. I hope you get a chance to take a bit deeper dive.

Intentional. BandMaid is intentional. How else are you gonna achieve World Domination? The maid costumes are branding genius. In fact it makes other bands seem sloppy a little bit. The greatest proper rock and roll band of the 21st century IMHO. Also IMHO water is wet and sugar is sweet! Good review of one of my favorites.
If you don't pronounce the i in Saiki, it comes out Saiki, which is a drink. Kanpai! But then you pronound the i too hard and it came out Sigh-icky. It should be pronounced Sigh-Key, so that it sounds like Psyche. Easy Peasy Japaneasy!

So question for you - you mentioned that you're just coming to grips with the outfits. I think many women have an aversion to the outfits, and I get it. If you were trying to convince a female friend to check them out, and not to dismiss them because of the outfits, what would you, as a woman, say to them? To me, it's almost a sort of satire - the opposite of women as "subservient." They need more girl fans! (Princesses) And it's a cultural difference of course.

Both Miku and Saiki are amazing singers in their own right, but together Magic happens.
