Civil War - Guns n Roses
Civil War - Guns n Roses
Civil War - Guns n Roses
Oh, and don't forget.. Civil War - Guns n Roses.
1. You misspelled "Mr. Brownstone"
2. You mispronounced "Paradise City"
3. Pretty sure that title is actually called "Rocket Queen"
4. Also misspelled "It's So Easy"
He should also react to “It’s so easy” the video is awesome 🔥🤘 🌹
Civil War and Patience.....two of my favs. Shout out to Nancy....my ex-wife. That was our song....so many years ago..RIP Nancy
I'd love to see Civil War. It's a great song and still so relevant.
Estranged- Criminally underrated. Best GNR song of all time!!
And that's why Axl is Axl. He's one of rock's legendary voices. He can sing sweet or he can blow your ears out. The man has pipes, and there's no mistaking anyone else for him.
Too bad he blew his pipes
@@justingirard4156 he's been touring with ac/dc so i guess he's good.
My first comment over last 5 years. One word: Estranged
Signing this! Alex, just get it done mkay!
Yeeees
I agree strongly!!
Yes
Absolutely. Followed by Breakdown. I find myself whistling that opening tune quite frequently.
You MUST react to "Paradise City" and "Sweet Child O' Mine" THAT is a masterpiece ;)
If you wanna talk about a masterpiece... COMA
Welcome to the jungle, crazy, one in a million so many more
🤮🤮🤮
They are seriously overrated songs. Garden of Eden or I don’t care about you cover they did
You must react to some Clutch!
Guns N Roses-You Could be Mine
My favorite GNR song!
I love what Alex said about the years and years of work that go into just mastering an instrument. Now you have to take 4-5 guys, all doing the same thing, getting them onto the same musical page, and working together to create something with numerous moving parts. It's amazing when you really think about what goes into it
I don't think Estranged has been/can be recommended enough times. So here's my bit, please for the love of God do Estranged 🙏🏽
YOU WANNA GET LOST IN A SONG!!!???
You should react to their song Estranged. It's got an epic video and it will take you on a long journey that you never knew you needed to go on... but... you did.
exactly. thank you.
Absolutely. Followed by Breakdown. I find myself whistling the opening tune quite frequently.
@@alaskawargbirmo2496 Breakdown is so underrated. Thank you!
Axle Rose is perhaps the most underrated songwriter and singer in history.
Because he yells and screeches. Crazy when he sings this well.
Slash co-wrote with him most of the songs too
@@marshabailey772bro axl literally has like 10 different voices because of his crazy vocal range, he has songs where he sings with his natural baritone voice and songs where he belted his heart out
“I used to love her” is a fun song.
I think he should look more energetic songs from GnR.
Both from "Use Your Illusion II": "Civil War" and "Estranged"
Old at heart but I'm only twenty eight
And I'm much too young
To let love break my heart
Young at heart but it's getting much too late
To find ourselves so far apart
That is A MUST :) Thank you :)
P.S.
Especially Estranged
COMA from GNR. It's a masterpiece.
With lyrics tho
The longest song🤘🏻
Absolutely one of my favorites!
Definetly 1 of Guns most underrated songs but a total masterpiece and 1 thats NEVER played and alot of "Fans" have no clue about
@@verbalassassin5737 they played it live in 2017 when I went. Seeing Slash shred on his custom B.C. Rich was so sick!
YOU REALLY SHOULD REACT TO ESTRANGE BY GNR! THAT MUSIC VIDEO IS REALLY AMAZING
Pretty sure he did this one already? By far one of my fave GNR's songs!!!!
@Kitten Katt truee
November Rain, Don’t Cry, Dead Horse, Coma, Civil War. These are all off the Illusion 1 and 2 records, arguably the best double record ever released. Love your reactions and your respect for these musicians, their craft, and their passion. Keep up the amazing work.
DEAD HORSE 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 FOR DEFINITE.
"Best double record ever"? I have to imagine you're being facetious, right?
@@mikethemotormouth, arguably. And I’m sure your throw in some Beatles White Album, Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti, Smashing Pumpkins Mellon Collie, etc. I’m not being facetious, I’m posing the argument and I’m not saying it’s definitive. I just think it’s their best work ever and has such quality songs through both. I prefer other albums from the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Mellon Collie should have been one record. But you’re welcome to your opinion, man. Disagree, but don’t think me disingenuous.
You should react to Sweet child o' mine. It's a masterpiece!!
I bought the cassette when it first came out just for that song. Lol
My fav.
i'm sure he has heard it before
Sweet child I mine is my favorite song of all the 80's
It's my nieces' favourite lullaby, along with Patience! XD
"Talk about a masterpiece" me a gnr fan thinking about how this song doesn't even compare to almost the entire appetite album. I agree its a masterpiece but you haven't heard anything until you hear appetite.
Appetite is musicaly overrated, it's simple.
Two different albums, great in their own right.
@@nghb2023 maybe if u are kid still. Otherwise appetite is just very good album.
Other works are what musicians rezpect more.
Or at least the ones who i spoke with.
@@nghb2023 lol ok. Appetite for Destruction is a masterpiece, but GNR have a ton of incredible songs from other albums.
November Rain, Don´t Cry, Sweet Child o Mine, Yesterdays
Guns N Roses - One In A Million, I Use To Love Her
Okay but he NEEDS to get a little background info on one in a million before listening to it, or he'll misunderstand and think they are racists. Be careful about suggestions like this.
I used to love her ...... I loved that song !!!!!
It's so easy
Double talkin jive
Rocket queen
Paradise city
Estranged
Coma
The garden (vocals include Alice Cooper)
Civil war
Loaded like a freight train
.... Dude it's literally hard to go wrong with guns. You should get into some motley crue too.
I'm shocked at the music you are now just listening to and jealous at you getting to experience it for the first time.
Do a GNR “My Michelle” or “You’re Crazy” reaction.
Christopher Bingham
I second that....their best IMO!!
@Kitten Katt i love - its so easy
I grew up in Alternative Bands and yes.. the passion came from a life dedicated to learning your instrument and a true need to perform! That is a lot of what is missing in the soul of today's music.
Songs I'd reccomend you to listen to:
Pardon Me by Incubus
Second Chance by Shinedown
Hysteria by Muse
I'm Not Okay (I Promise) by MCR
Waiting For The End by Linkin Park
Handlebars by Flobots
Still Waiting by Sum 41
Tell me down which one you'll preffer the most
Second Chance is a great shout
Love hysteria
You say it's a shame that every kid interested in music wants to be a rapper but it's much better than it was even 10 years ago. In 2020, some young people are showing an interest in music from back in the day (1950-1990)... like yourself. It's nice to see your generation interested and having an appreciation for it. After 30 years waiting I'd given up hope and thought this music would get forgotten forever. Patience is a virtue.
I really like
"Civil war" from "Gun's and Roses"! The guitar solos sounds clean!
Coma,civil war,estranged,there are epic
Damn I haven't thought to listen to estranged in awhile. Thanks for the reminder
@Ghost Ninja always \m/
My Michelle is a really cool Guns N' Roses song, along with Paradise City.
This song was in the movie "Warm Bodies" which has some really epic music. The main character (a zombie) doesn't talk much, but he plays records and communicates that way sometimes. This was one of those instances, just playing the beginning of this song and swaying along with the music. The girl he was with was just like "what the hell are you?" Anyway, happy memories for me. And yes, beautiful song.
Civil war, another masterpiece
Such a joy to watch you hear so many of the songs which makeup the soundtrack to my life. Thank you for sharing, it’s so beautiful to watch!
You should react to the song Used to Love Her. It's a funny acoustic song from the same EP.
Oh gosh yea
Good one
Fun one! Me and hubby still sing it lol
It's about a dog😂
Appetite for destruction should be your next album of the month. All songs are amazing. An often overlooked deep cut is "I think about you". It's actually a perfect little pop song.
GNR "Civil War" You'll love it!
This song has been my favorite song since I was a young child.
To this day if it comes on I have to finish the song to the end.
One of my favorite songs ever. I'm so glad you reacted to this. This made my day.
Same. This was my favorite song for most of my life. I used to jam out to GnR and Meatloaf when I was a kid. They really shaped who I am.
Yes this is a masterpiece....his voice.,.his passion, guitar....so perfect! Thanks!!!!
You're next album of the month should be Guns and Roses- Appetite for Destruction!
Yes please.
EACH
AND
EVERY
SONG
Guns n' Roses were huge in the late 80's. This song had a lot of airplay back in the day.
Dudeee... Guns n Roses should be your next full album listen ... love it man.. keep it up.
I live in an assisted living facility and get a VA disability pension of $1,146 a month. Most of my pension goes to rent but I still consider myself to be lucky for what I do have. I've spent time homeless with no source of income. Now I get some money and I have a laptop and a phone. I've got a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in. Food is provided for me. The staff does the cleaning and laundry. All my medical needs are met. So I feel pretty good about things.
fun fact: this song was actually written before their debut album "appetite for destruction" but didnt make it on that album fun fact 2: my uncle actually drove their tour bus in the 80's them pat benatar and a few other rock stars of the day
For everbody that requested estranged as a next song.dont worry ,all we need is just a little patience
Try EXTREME 'MORE THAN WORDS'... From Phillipines here
YEEESSSS NUNOOO
Fun fact: I read somewhere that the brothers said in an interview the song was written to be all about a blowjob. They explain she could say she loves him with more than words. Lol.
Civil War, Estranged, Paradise City, So Fine...
I'm sure you'll love them as soon you listen to them

I can't believe i've forgot...
Could you ask for a bit more?
I LOVE the Dsus2/D Dsus4/D Dsus2/D arrangement, just beautiful and simplistic!
Chris Cornell's cover of this is a MUST
It's beautiful. It's different. They are both works of art.
Yes
Wait, that's a thing???? Brb
Fuckin love Chris Cornell, hes amazing. But in this song, I think Guns N Roses version just fit it better. Just my opinion though:)
@@unclej4805 Can never argue with an original. But for me personally Cornell did for this song exactly what Disturbed did for the Sound of Silence
Probably my favorite song by them.
You should react to “estranged “ by Guns N’ Roses. It’s easily one of their coolest videos, it’s a a great track with a lot of emotion.
Haven't listened to this for years, great tune!
If y’all want a dope as hell masterpiece it has to be Estranged or anything else off the Use Your Illusion 2 album
Was never a huge gunner fan back in the day but now as i get older i look at their early video's and music and think these guys were the perfect example of what the word brilliant is. To think how young these guys were when they wrote these early songs is absolutely amazing. Brilliance is the domain of the young.
" if you have any more Guns n Roses recommendations " LOL Good one. Too many bro, just pick one, you cant go wrong.
Any after use your illusion 2 is wrong
Love that you see what you see in all of these excellent tunes!
React to Chris Cornell’s version of this song after wards
NO IT'S SHIT
mikethemotormouth Well that’s your opinion. I really like it.
As much as I love Chris Cornell I could NOT get into his version
Chris Cornell ruined the song
@@heavymetalrules436 Why do you say this? I’m just curious. Idc about your opinion, I just want to know why.
I freaking love your reaction to G&R videos 💙. I'm here like "IKR?!"
Great reaction dude, since I got to the comments “early” I’d like to recommend rocket queen by guns n roses, I’m only 20 years old so I’m not able to confirm this but bro...i really think that this song could’ve been just as big as their other hits if it wasnt for the girl moaning at the bridge of the track (i think it got some censorship at the time)😂😂😂 if you react to it also do some research about it, you’ll love that story.
Brian Candelario You should research the story about the moaning girl lol
Good call bro. I ALWAYS recommend rocket queen to people!
@@jlupien502
My 22 year old knows about it. 😆
Jamie I think i know what happened but i wanted to avoid “spoilers” for alex
Kitten Katt that would break any regular friendship but those dudes just didn’t gave a damn about women, it was too easy for them😂😂
You gotta listen to "Coma", "Estranged", "You Could Be Mine", "Don't Damn Me", Breakdown", "Locomotive". I could go on all day! I remember waiting for the Use Your Illusion I & II albums to come out. I was in high school and it was near my birthday and my bro knew how much I loved GNR and when I got off the bus and came into my room there were the two CD's (in longboxes!) sitting on my bed! Damn, I miss those days.
Civil War - Guns n Roses
Enstranged - Guns n Roses
You could be mine - Guns n Roses
Welcome to the jungle - Guns n Roses
Sweet child of mine - Guns n Roses
Paradise City - Guns n Roses
Knockin on heavens door - Guns n Roses
Mr Brownstone - Guns n Roses
Coma - Guns n Roses
The list could go on ;)
Alex, been following you for a while now. Glad you finally did this song, it’s my favorite by GNR. Well done! Keep em comin
Agree with everyone else that has commented this, check out Chris Cornell's cover of this!!!!!
Not trying to be a dick, I love mostly everything Chris did, but this cover isn't one of them. Makes me sad cuz I want to love it
@@antemorph66 agreed, it's not that good :D
I remember when i first heard the album this song on, simply blown away by the change from Appetite For Destruction. MASTERPIECE :)
"whispers softly" Paaaatttiiiieennncccceeeee
I remember skipping a lecture and of all things, going to the student union and went bowling. I was literally the only person there and this song was playing over the PA. One of my favorite memories from college.
Ever considering doing a Blind Melon reaction? The singer is background in Guns N Roses Don't Cry. Real similar vibe to this song. And you might also be the first to do a Blind Melon reaction...
What's even more impressive is that they did this in one take in the studio...
Knockin on Heaven's Door, Guns version not Bob Dylan
Yesss! Not bob Dylan’s version. While it’s good but I love GNR’s better
I love guns n roses and all but they butchered that fucking song.. Bob dylan did it way better
Love myself some Bob Dylan but yeah GNR version is better.
All of the song suggestions are so good, you can't go wrong with any of them. Or, all of them...
Has to be “Coma” you will not be disappointed.
YES!! 💯 _Coma_ is EPIC! Fantastic request! 👏🏻
THIS!
Coma is a MASTERPIECE in terms of lyrics, definetely the best written music of Guns N' Roses
the intro is great
Such a simple yet beautiful song
"Civil war", pleaseeeee
Also "Estranged", pleaseeeeeee
This I Love, it’s a gritty, emotional, raw tune.
I miss the feelings I had when this music came out in the late 80s and early 90s. I still feel it but I guess it's the teenage angst thats gone.
Where you'd run to store to get the cassette/cd and listen to it a hundred times? Yep, me too.
Truly great. Don't listen to gnr much nowadays, but reactions like this rekindle some of enthusiasm for their music.
"Get In The Ring", they wrote it as a "not so politically correct" response to what they called, you can say, bad press and bad reporters... and it's also a fantastic and very funny song, lol
Who hasn't heard Patience? My 15 year old knows this song. Glad you loved it!

@@jlupien502 and Wasted Time
@@juliusnisonen2431 He reacted to Wasted Time. It was great.
They were the biggest Rock band in the world for a solid 6-7 years. My favorite band of all time. Slash guitar and axls voice.....been nothing like it since, there will never be another like it
I'm gonna say again... Civil War, Coma and Estranged. You won't regret it
I was happy to hear you say what us rockers have been saying for years we bust our ass for years coming up with riffs and drum beats and lyrics and now rappers get all the attention but that’s fine we’re never going away! It’s a passion and that’s why the rappers will continue on as well Passion. Art is always just that passion doesn’t matter who likes it or not!
You should really react to some Faith No More, been waiting forever for you to react to them
I was there Gandalf...I was there when the music stores (yes, back in the day, if you wanted to buy music, you had to go to a store that sold it) first put this album on sale.
IMHO if you're going to listen to GnR, rock out. "Rocket Queen", "Mr. Brownstown", "Welcome to the Jungle", "Paradise City", "Sweet Child o' Mine" (1.1 billion views). Especially the last one if "Patience" got your attention. Seeing them live back in the day, all I know is nobody was there for the slow ballads. :) Keep posting!
Axl brought this one home. Awesome vocals in the outro and what a vibe. Great party song too if anyone has a guitar handy.
just do "appetite for destruction" whole album. every song is good.
As everyone has said: GnR ‘Estranged’ it’s the last of the Don’t Cry, November Rain etc trilogy (and you’ve done both of those!)
One In A Million by Guns N Roses their most controversial song...
A banger for sure
I wouldnt suggest that to anybody just because I KNOW they would take it the wrong way
This song always gives me chills, so great.
You should check out every song of theirs except my world (that song should be the last).
They did the whole song in a single take btw and the music video is of the same take (inside the studio). This is why we love Gnr. RIP Chris Cornell ❤️.
I was in highschool in '88 when this came out. I was in the weight room and another metal head brought his walkman over and said "you gotta fucking hear this"
If you havent done it yet you have to listen to Sweet Child O Mine (Guns N Roses)
If he hasn't heard that I question what he has heard.
Yes!!! Glad you see it actually takes talent for this type of music. And it turns out waaaaay better than any hip hop song
You should do the entire Appetite For Destruction album by Guns and Roses. Their first album and not a bad song on it.
Thank you for the acknowledgment of hard working talent
Check out "I used to love her" by GnR.
But I had tequila?
Don’t Cry the is one of my favourites. Loved it so much I learned to play it.
Estranged is the best G'n'R song ever, change my mind
X2
This is the sit back and vibe kind of song, badass ballad by the last great rock band of the 80’s
React to some SHINEDOWN or Rise Against...👍👊😎
As a long time Guns N'Roses fan, I can tell you that there are 3 masterpieces songs you have to react.
Locomotive, Coma and Estranged
