We absolutely loved visiting Amy's Earthship home! Her passion for Earthship design radiates from her and she is an absolute wealth of knowledge. Earthships have been a fascination of mine ever since watching the film Garbage Warrior and since then I have always ventured to incorporate as many of these design principles into my own projects as possible. This is a shining example of a home which is completely self-sufficient, radically sustainable and which has a positive impact on the world around it. We hope you enjoy the tour!
Bryce and Rasa, once again, thank you for finding Amy and bringing her fascinating story to us. She and her build radiate warmth. I love the colors she chose for her solid walls and how they accent those amazing bottle walls. I adore the earthsip movement. It's been at least 10 yr, quite possibly more since I've known about them and have coveted one ever since. Using TRASH to make a home, and other things has been my passion for a long time. It's really hard to get people to understand and buy into the concept. To them, trash is to be discarded. Amy is so fortunate to have a community of such awesome friends who understood and were totally on board to help her action her lovely dream. That bench top is sooo stunning. I love❤ the color and character it lends to the home as well as the coffee table her friend gifted her with for the lounge. Bravo to her and all her friends. Bryce and Rasa I think it would be lovely to include whatever adventures Amy has or had with her cute little home on wheels/travel trailer that I saw. TFS ❤❤

I do dream of having this level of wealth one day. Such an organic house built by love, nice new appliances, a luxurious RV, pets, a supportive community, etc. She is so very lucky.
Earthships have been my favorite type of non-traditional building for several years. Awesome seeing this great example! Amy is very knowledgeable and passionate about Earthships! That solar panel system is massive!!
Wow, this is The Most Beautiful earthship home I have ever seen !! I admit, I never thought they were attractive, until now, just sufficient. It is spacious, I like the decor. Ooh la la that bathtub ! The garden is lovely, to wake up every morning looking at that banana tree is a bonus. I loved the way Amy explained how the earthship worked, how it was built and the idea behind features. It was fantastic! Great video Bryce (and people behind the camera).
I agree. Amy is very articulate & knowledgeable. She explained everything very well. What an amazing collaboration with other advocates. The earth ship home is such an excellent use of discarded materials. 😮 Amazing.
Wow what a beautiful and smart home Amy has created. I love that it was a community project and that it also taught others how to build earthships. An earthship is my dream home. Well done! Fantastic video!
Used to live around the corner from Amy when she started. Met her a couple times. Remember everyone camping down the road, so good to see it finished, looks amazing.
I've never seen an earthship in this type of location before. It's STUNNING! Not just an earthship but a homeship too, a beautiful, cosy, magnificent, friendly house full of love, cats and friends. It's magnificent 😍 😍 😍
Pam here….LOVE THIS. So many advantages of a bermed or earth ship, the moderation of temps, the quietness and solid feeling the home gives. I love the greenhouse hallway of the front, so many do not have that and regulating the heat, light into home is more difficult. Makes me want to scavenge the landfills for tires and glass. ❤😂😂❤❤
What a great home for Amy😊 It’s perfect!! I love everything about it, and Amy is such a great conversationist! I’d LOVE to spend a day with Amy, I could listen to her stories all day god love her😍 She is so informative! I wonder what area she lives?🤔 LOVE how she describes the house giving her a big warm hug on a cool day, she’s so lovely and sweet!😍💗🌻💐
Thank you for sharing these Videos. I have learned of Earthships back in 2015 when I accidentally drove by the Greater World communiy near Taos. I was intrigued by the ideas of Michael Reynolds! Owning a conventional "stick house" in rural New Mexico, I started to add Earthship principles to my home, talking PV, solar thermal hot water, rainwater catchment, a south-facing Greenhouse Add-On with thermal mass walls and floors, gray-water recycling through planters and a South facing tire wall (this one would need some explanation... HA!). I am getting close to become energy-neutral including driving electric. My Goal: Less than 30 wood stove firing days per year (at 6000+ feet elevation), no more fruit and veggies from the super-market, no more dependencies on local infrastructures (meaning: electric grid outages pass me without me noticing), always a comfortable home to be in. Retro-fitting an existing conventional US-type stick house is hard, but I am almost there!
Love the amount of big drawers in the kitchen. The very best way of storing things. Pity an earthship is so labour intensive, as it seems to be the best type of housebuild, and the healthiest to live in.
The result is so amazing. Imagine waking up with that view from your bedroom, banana tree and all that greens. So pretty. I love the bottle wall so much. Unique and so pretty when the sunlight gets through. And that ying yang hole is so cool too 😆😆😆 I hope we can see more earthship from this channel.
This is BY FAR the MOST AWESOME Earthship Home I have ever seen, as far as being closest to what I would personally want in a home, functionality, design, & even a lot of her decorating. LOVE IT!!
Love, Love, Love!! A beautiful beautiful home. I love that Amy built this fabulous Earthship in a suburban community. It looks similar to a conventional home with a stunning flair and has all the unique benefits of an Earthship home. I think one of the coolest aspects of Earthship homes is the way they are built by a community.
I'm speechless!! This huge-tiny earthship is one of the most beautiful houses seen so far. The passion and commitment that went into the construction of this masterpiece is commendable! A spectacular project. Thanks Bryce and Rasa. I hope that this year for Christmas greetings many inhabitants of the Tiny Houses will record a greeting video, so I can see everyone together with pleasure. A big hug from Livorno, Tuscany, Italy and I hope that soon I will be able to realize my dream of having a Tiny House and communicate it to you!! Happy Holidays to you and your families.
Brilliant informative tour of Amy's gorgeous Earthship home. Getting that cost down with more volunteers and education/building clubs donating time would go a long way to enticing others to adopt and build more of these good-for-Earth and good-for-us healthful homes.
I love earthships so much. Mike Reynolds is truly a visionary. I know in Australia there have been a lot of issues around council approvals and other regulations for earthships so it is wonderful to see it can be done. I would love to see more of these.
This looks like an improved design of the Earthship. One thing I noticed is the windows at the front are vertical instead of at an angle seen in some of the New Mexico Earthships and I suspect that lean puts less strain on the window frame. Keeping the window vertical is a better-engineered design. I personally have never been a fan of the bottles in the wall, but it seems to be a requirement to join the Earthship club. What I would like to do someday is combine some Earthship passive heating/cooling design elements with a "barndominium" build style. Would do a glass-covered porch area facing the sun to act as a buffer to the outside, and put a berm on the back side of the house with geothermal, or cooling tubes to help cool/warm the large garage side of the home. It will be too big to be on Living Big In A Tiny House, but seeing so many out-side-of-the-box thinkers gives many inspiring ideas.
So much to love about this video Bryce. Loved the home and loved her. Such great energy and positivism. It was interesting to hear about her journey of how she came to build an earthship home. All because she was volunteering in Nicaragua where she wound up helping to build a school there using this process. And who knew there was a class/seminar one could take to learn more about it as she did when she traveled to Taos, NM and then the serendipity of having an earthship guru right in her area where she was able to work on another monthlong project. Pretty amazing journey.
Got the gift of the gab this young lady, I actually had to go back at the start to see what question Bryce had asked LOL...clever lady too instead of hunting for different coloured bottles who would have thought to put coloured resin in the bottom of clear ones??? Nice trick she should patent that idea!! Make a fortune if it was added to every Earth ship book, or build your own home books etc... I love that friends, family and strangers who become friends all share their love in the build.. and I love the sunroom/entry area, bet the cats spend their days soaking up the sun there on those window ledges.. any other lounge but that red velvet just wouldn't have looked the same against that yellow sunshine wall...and what amazing friends to 'gift you trees' cant beat that!!! You dont realise how big that house is until you see Amy walk towards her front door. You can feel the love in tat house, that home, and I love that yellow glow when the lights are on at night. Well done Amy you are amazing and your home is awesome... one of the best Bryce, nice photography too Rasa.. cheers from Western Australia
The huge happiness and satisfaction with home that the house designer/dwellers on this channel have for their homes -- whether tiny or alternative -- is the major common denominator.

What a fantastic presentation, and quite good knowledge-building too! Thanks Rasa and Bryce! :)
A simply gorgeous E🌍rth Ship! I love the bottles with their colors, designs, and etched words, the beautiful wood features, the windows and solarium hallway. Just takes my breath away!
I LOVED this video! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Absolutely wonderful! I have been in love with earth ships for a few years. They never disappoint and Amy did a fabulous job with hers. So blessed and protected on her journey. She’s a gem! Listening to her story, working with children and the friends or strangers that came in to offer help. Perfect alignment! Bravo! This was absolutely beautiful! ❤️
Absolutely stunning!!!
This has to be in my top 3 homes.
Just wonderful; the decor, the space, the greenhouse. Wow!
I do dream of having this level of wealth one day. Such an organic house built by love, nice new appliances, a luxurious RV, pets, a supportive community, etc. She is so very lucky.
This is hands down one of if not the most beautiful home I have seen.
This place is a mix of chic, a haven, and pure comfort, all blended into a breathtaking living space. I'm utterly speechless!
Earthships have been my favorite type of non-traditional building for several years. Awesome seeing this great example!
Amy is very knowledgeable and passionate about Earthships! That solar panel system is massive!!
WOW is right! This is spectacular! I would love to create an earthship.
Nicest earth ship ever. Love the modern touches with so much light. More clean than just rustic, lovely.
I love these types of homes, perfect size too. Earth ships are incredible and I feel you have more freedom of how you design your home to.
This is one of my favourite earthships that l have ever seen. Wow. ❤
How fabulous to be able save so many tires from the landfill. The design and final touches make this most special place. Amy is delightful !
Amy explained everything so well and her earthship is beautiful .
You are right, you were blessed to have such good friends to help you build this beauty. To donate their time and the beautiful types of wood. You have everything you need in a home, enjoy !!
Just stunning, thank you for posting!
Literally one of the COOLEST homes I have ever seen. I want one. 😍
One of the most beautiful Earthship homes I've ever seen! WOW! I could feel her warm energy through the video.
Wow, this blew me away...Your home is self-sufficient and beautiful 😍..... your caring for the environment is most amazing. Looking at your home from the outside you wouldn't think it is not a regular home...Your kitties are gorgeous 😍...I see you have a covered garage and a camper for those adventures....are you going to be doing landscaping in the front of your home...Lots of luck
You said it Bryce,” wow! What a space she has made.” I think that this is my favorite of all time. Thank you and Rasa for continuing to bring us such beautiful and inspiring homes.
This is by far, bar none, one of the BEST homes you've featured, and that's saying something. WOW! It's spectacular!
I wonder what area she lives?🤔
LOVE how she describes the house giving her a big warm hug on a cool day, she’s so lovely and sweet!😍💗🌻💐
New Mexico here, I love earthships! This is beautiful.
Stunning well done Amy thank you for showing us your Earthship Home and thank you Bryce and Rasa for finding this absolute gem xo 💜
This is definitely my number one property you have visited. Amy is truly blessed. Thank you for sharing. Beautiful!!! ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
Amy's Earthship is beautiful...hope she enjoys many happy years enjoying the home that she & her friends built...great job!
Loved this! Amy has a stunner of a home. Thank you, Bryce and Rasa, for sharing this.
Oh wow! Earthship Amy has a calling to preach her dream to others. If I were young, this would be my choice. Thank you for sharing .
Just, wow! This! I wish to get one for myself 💟 Thank you Amy, Bryce, and Raza for sharing this beautiful creation.
This was such an educational episode. I love her home and how she used natural materials to build it. It appears very comfortable and spacious.
This is a fantastic home, I love that greenhouse at the front & the homeowner seems lovely
She is truly blessed , what a lovely earthship she has created and have the most wonderful friends and all the helpful , kind people she has met . I hope I will have this one day soon.. manifesting this and good kind friends too..
This is with out a doubt the best off grid home I have ever seen ! Amazing property and design ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is your first home ? Amazing ! I'd never give it up, if I were you !
I was at one of the workshops helping to build this, its so amazing to see it completed, its a dream! 😍
Beautiful home!! The way she talks and has so much passion is so special. I loved hearing how he views the home and how when looking she can think about the people that helped her make possible certain parts. The community is amazing and from it came an amazing home. I loved the shots at the end of the warm light inside along with the warmth of the color of the walls. So cozy looking and inviting! I also loved the bits with her talking about her cats!! They looked so peaceful and content. Amazing video guys. Vidoeography and editing amazing!
I absolutely love how this earthship was designed and decorated! I want an earthship too one day and I'll be sure to rewatch this video from my TH-cam favorites for inspiration when the time comes ☯️
I'd say that she is an old soul.defo been here before.I can usually spot them...🤗
I've never seen such a wonderful home! Miss Amy is a pioneer and a lovely soul. Thank you for bringing this to us.
Amy is so knowledgable and pleasant and passionate ! And the home is one of the best i have seen on any channels ...
This house has given me so many great ideas. Thank you to Amy, her friends and the host of the show. ❤
So we’ll explained. I finally really understand how the earth ship design works 👍
I LOVE THIS HOUSE❤
One of the most beautiful "Projects" I've seen. Just my kind of style - the perfect match of function meets creativity in the breeze of clean and free space. Her bathroom is a dream, like the bedroom. And I love that so many people gifted things (Like the Tablet/Wood) we're a Part of growing the earthship - that's a fullfilling of building your own with help from "the village" around. A Part of meaning of human Life ❤
Concrats to the owner and thank you for inspiring my world for wishes ❤
One of the best Earthships I've seen on the internet. One of the best episodes too!
She is so smart and able to really explain it to us
It's a lovely home made possible by a nurturing community. Love the beautiful moggies, too.
This is one of the loveliest earthships I've ever seen.
