Thnx alot for this vid. Im waiting for my academy experience for around 10 years now. Looking for this to be my home. This is very helpful. Would really appriciate to see more of your work in the EU, and stay in contact ❤
@@mataibenaharon1848 thank you and I hope for you to experience it soon. The European part of the adventure will start in a few month with us moving to Sicily. I am very excited and will keep posting videos once something is moving.
Hello! Are you aware of people in the US who would be interested in building an earthship in New Mexico, US as a form of workshop offering? I have land in NM fully paid off.
@@amaristodo hey. Best to contact the earthship biotechture. They have a lot going on and might be interested. However, they themselves have land still on which they are building constantly. So if you want to offer the opportunity for field studies and then keep the building for yourself, they probably will suggest for you to do the academy and then start a build, upon which they can bring you more people to help in such a manner.
Hey. No, the uploaded version has the sound I have in the MasterFile ... at least I have not heard a difference. Would be curious if this problem is also with others. Does auto subtitle work or get it right? I have not tested that.
I’m thinking about building an earth ship in Mississippi with shipping containers for my three sides and old tractor tires for the retaining wing walls. I plan on reinforcing the outer walls of the containers so they don’t bulge. Bathroom, bedrooms, laundry will be inside the area of the containers with an open kitchen/living area. I would buy newer containers but would try my best to repurpose as much of the other material as possible. Would love to build one in Taos also. Any thoughts or ideas?
@@Diesel4242 that sounds really interesting and I can picture it well. The earthship idea of getting heat through sunlight might be a challenge with all the walls of the containers ... the sun cannot reach the thermal mass it would need to heat up. But you might have solved that, depending of what you cut out of the containers ... which then weakens them. So you might have to strengthen. On the other hand, the earthship roofs are not that heavy. There is a big shipping container home community. I am sure you'll find lots of expertise. To build one in Taos, contact earthship biotechture. They have their hands full, but there is land close by available. Good luck in any case! Keep us posted about progress.
@@Heikolampe Thanks! Many variables to consider. I will definitely have to reach out and possibly secure a lot in the community. I am really enjoying the build video. It’s insane how our society builds and lives in such crappy, inefficient homes when you really think about it….
@@Diesel4242 I know they are selling lots. Michael is partially a purist and partially eager to experiment. So you might have a chance. Otherwise, there are lots for sale close by ... I know that
Hi. The book I have is in paper only ... and it goes with the course. They have books and plans on their web page. Have a look at that. Where are you planning to build?
we kept cement and adobe 100% separate (very explicitly, even using different water drums and buckets, as to not to pollute it). So what you describe was not used in Taos. Does anyone else in the comments know?
Thanks a lot for making and sharing your earthship experience ❤
Awesome!! Sending love!!
Thank you so much!

I would be happy to participate and help :)
Can't make out what you are saying most of the time. Is the a dva of this program with a more clear voice?

@@erinschone hi. Look on the earthship biotechture website ... you'll find the academy on there (assuming you are looking for the US version).
