More context: Kenny MacAskill and Neale Hanvey are the only House of Commons MPs of the Alba Party (pro-Scottish independence/pro-Scottish republicanism) which formed in 2021. Before this clip started, Kenny was raising a point of order to Boris by shouting "We need a referendum" before he was drained out by the Tories. Then Neale tried to stand up for Kenny and it was here where Hoyle kicked them out. They did this because of Boris' refusal to let Scotland have another referendum. They were arguing that now is the best time more than ever to let the Scottish people decide their path in this complicated climate. The First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon of the SNP has made clear that Scotland would have a referendum in 2023, and that they would take legal action if the British government refused.
I'm personally not in favor of independence because that would mean the new republic would have a unicorn as their national animal, and as we all know I discovered unicorns in a cave within our country back in 2012
