This is balls. Hoyle is not there to ensure the prime minister tells the truth: that just isn't his job. He has in the past urged Johnson to actually address the questions, but his powers are extremely limited and are in large part reserved for and confined to keeping order. He's not a judge. Total ignorance of Parliamentary procedure - arcane though it might be - runs right through the criticism of the present Speaker by people who seem to think they could do a better job: and perhaps they could - but not in a Parliamentary chamber bound by procedures which they don't begin to understand.

For someone who has quit looks very comfortable still. Didn't answer the questions put to him and just danced around like a puppet.
Where is this money coming from?
650,000 on payroll more than ever but there's still millions unemployed and more businesses firing and closing down than hiring and opening up.
0.5% growth in May today's is only just 0.2% get your facts straight BJ. Nobody in that party wants to be near him and yet 8 want his job so we'll have some infighting as usual. The Conservative Party needs to look at the back benchers for a better leader than those on the front bench.

Johnson: "He's (Starmer) has been considerably less lethal than some others" - other than the fact Starmer maneuvered the Tories into booting him out of the Commons via the Priviliages Committee.
    Har Har Har.

The speaker Lindsay Hoyle is terrible. He clearly does not have any sway amongst the MPs and has the air of a supply teacher losing control of the class. Half the problems with behaviour are down to him and his total lack of command. Dreadful.
