If someone hasn't proposed, hasn't committed to setting a wedding date or keeps changing the wedding date after the 3rd year of the relationship then you need to reassess that relationship and act accordingly...

My cousin got married to his long-term girlfriend recently, about a year ago. They had been dating for about seven or eight years before that, I think. Marriage is not a race. As long as both members of the couple are ready, who cares when you get married? I mean, look at Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. They have been together for decades, and yet they technically aren't married, and never have been. They never even plan on getting married to each other, and yet they still love each other very much.

Only looks good in a video. Don’t take this seriously. If someone says “don’t pressure me” instead of “I can’t wait to see you in my future” despite the fact that you’ve been dating for more than 1 year, then it’s a HUGE RED FLAG. It takes maximum 3 months to figure out your co workers, friends or anyone you interact with on a regular basis. So 1 YEAR with a partner, you already know them inside and out. I’ve seen so many people waiting and feeling guilty by thinking “I’m pressuring them” and in 90% cases they get their 6 years wasted because their partner still wants to explore MORE and eventually ends up finding a new person to have “adventures” with. Remaining of them get their partner back because obviously it was difficult to replace wonderful partners like them. So even in 2nd case they’re being just a “back up” option and that too will reflect in their marriage.

After Jacob and Cecelia got back together, their relationship proved to be even greater than it ever has been before. They eventually did get married, they eventually had twins, who they named after themselves, and they happily lived the rest of their lives together.

One should never get married because one thinks it's time to get married, or because someone else is pressuring them to get married, or because all their friends are getting married. One should get married because they have found someone with whom they want to spend the rest of their lives, including weekends and holidays. (That last sentence appears in a Readers Digest magazine article with the title "Welcome to the Real World" when I graduated college, and it wouldn't surprise me if they've reprinted it many times over the last 6 decades.) If you wanna do something different, I have an idea: an eldelry lady goes into her favourite coffee shop, but this time, it's full. Like. Full. There's only like one open seat. Sititng alone by the table is a grumpy looking elderly gentleman who seems to be in a pretty bad mood. The lady, not bothered by it, asks him if she can sit there. She talks to him determinedly even thou he only responds with short answers. The two meet again a few days later, and it turns out, the elderly man lost his wife a couple years ago. Shse was everything to him and that's why he is so grumpy nowadays (he was very kind and had a good sense of humor before that) and yeah. The two talk and basically fall in love slowly :)

I also feel the same way since I am almost 30 and I don't even know when I'll enter menopause (some women start very early), so I broke up with my ex since he still wanted to play around (plus he was mentally abusive lol). If this were real, if he had loved her, he would have made a commitment, not strung her along for five years, keeping his options open. He made out that she was 'crazed' and a 'maniac' for wanting a commitment from a man who claimed to love her. Notice how SHE improved herself, but HE made NO changes whatsoever, and was not willing to make any effort for her, during their time together. She should have made him fight for another chance, and it be only on her terms. Dhar Mann never has the balls to show women as strong, capable, and able to hold their own.
I was once engaged to this guy but because of the pandemic I lost my business, he was treating me well and never stopped but he started to listen to people especially his family about me home not working and eventually we broke up. After the pandemic I got a job and started to save and push myself more. Now I am overseas working and he is now begging me to marry him. I explained nicely that we are both in different phases in life and I don't see him as a partner anymore. If only he said we should take a break I could understand but he never gave me a chance to prove myself. I will not go back but believe me this life and people teach me to be wise. I am no longer excited about marriage but when it comes I will know if I should because life is a lesson.
