Sometimes being smart isn't a good thing. Learning too quick and thinking too theoretical and having no practical knowledge. Life is difficult that way.
I must admit, I was unpopular and regularly snubbed by the cool kids back in school. I didn't know what my passions were and was always trying to please others just to get accepted. It was futile.
Then one day, when I finally discovered my passion of rock music, it brought so much enlightenment to my life and it was that which I was looking for. So I cultivated my identity as this rocker dude and relished the changes. After that, I stopped caring about the cool kids and abandoned trying to be popular.
Then when I went to college, I was expecting to be snubbed again by everyone. Instead, the opposite happened. People absolutely loved me for being authentic and true to myself and it continues today, so I became popular without even asking for it. I got a standing ovation from everyone in the room when I graduated.
My outcome:
Zoe and Nelson continued dating, they made it to graduation together, and were both excepted into Princeton. Over the years, their love for each got stronger, leading to them getting married after graduating from Princeton. After Cassie and Zoe told off Mike, he was so far behind on his school work, that he got desperate and resorted to cheating on tests. But he was caught cheating and expelled from the school. His parents were so furious, and they forced him to get a job, and the only job he could get was being a janitor at a gas station.

I do agree that being popular in high school doesn't matter in the real world. I also agree that being unpopular doesn't matter in the real world. In the real world, it won't matter if you were a prom king, prom queen, jock, nerd, etc in high school.
There's a lot of popular kids that turn out great as adults, and there's a lot of popular kids that don't turn out great as adults. There's a lot of unpopular kids that turn out great as adults, and there's a lot of unpopular kids that don't turn out great as adults. Choices people make, choosing whether or not to use drugs, choosing whether or not to engage in criminal behavior, the college major you chose, the career choices you make, the internships you get involved in, the professional connections you have, choosing how to spend your money, choosing whether or not to be a kind person, etc often influences how a person turns out as an adult.
High school popularity, means NOTHING when you're out in the Real world.
Popularity can be won in the workplace, but doesn't pay bills!!! Working hard while being popular is a total balance between the lines!!!

Normally girls love popular boys and hate nerds, this was a twist!!! Zoe would seek Cassie out for a listening ear and some hugs, BF Mike was too toxic and arrogant!! Apologizing for knocking into Nelson helped bring another side to Zoe, she was falling for Nelson hard!!! Mike will be too late to apologize to Zoe, it will be Nelson who will be lucky to have her!!! It is over for them but a start for Nelson and Zoe!!!

Mike was a jerk who was so full of himself and foolishly thought only being popular would get him through life. He deserved to be told off by all three. The childish way he responded was hilarious. It's like what Mr. T said: "Some people expect a free ride cruising by on good looks and luck. It don't work that way. Being talented is just the beginning, it takes education, dedication and determination to be a success. If you work real hard, you can be the best that you can be."

The "popular guy" is so unrealistic. Most of the time, people are popular because they are confident and talented, and have skills that can help them in adulthood. They are usually not full of themselves and are very hardworking people, but the media has portrayed them as these arrogant, toxic pricks. It's honestly disgusting how Illumeably and other channels portray popular kids and makes me think they weren't too popular in school.

This is a great lesson because I couldn’t wait to get out of high school because I couldn’t stand the pressure to fit in and be about looks, money and popularity all the time. Mike deserved to be told off after making fun of nerds and dumping Zoe for another girl that he though would put up with his nonsense. Tsk tsk tsk

I was 1 of the most popular kids in my HS b/c of my break-dancing moves. But there were times when I HATED it, b/c I think they only respected me b/c of that & nothing else.

Mikey's world view reminds me of the Springsteen song "Glory Days" whose character stills gets nostalgic about his high school days because he's accomplished so little since then.
Nelson is good to play the good roles. The bad roles I just can't take him seriously. If it was the tall dude w the curly hair being the bully that would be more believable. The role of the bad guy by Mike wasn't too bad either

That’s why being popular is not that easy Mike is never going to graduate all he cares about himself going to parties, meeting girls, being a prom king and never gonna do his school and homework.
I stay all night for these videos thank you illumeably for all your hard work I could be playing video games so I get a notification that there is a new video so I’ run and watch it.
It's merely a cliche that the "popular kids" of the school only peak in school, but have empty, wasted adult lives. Often they are popular because they have great confidence, good leadership skills, and talent which high school provides the nursing grounds for, so that in the real world they can put their skills to good use. Popular kids I went to school with have great jobs, and the same goes for unpopular kids.

High school popularity means NOTHING in the real world. But stuff one actually enjoys and doesn’t involve being toxic to someone about it looks good on any application really, even one to real life. Yes Greek/robotics or even esport societies ensure you look good on your application let alone truly enjoying the very moment whilst leading to a bright future
