What you don't see at the end of this video is the hockey player on the bike with the battle axe heading straight for the kissing boxer and fencer. :P such a random video but good song!
These are analog synthesizers and sequencers, not laptops. What you hear is electricity, no different than a guitar pickup. Live, free-flowing electrical currents that need be shaped, coloured, attenuated, contoured and tuned. As a guitarist, I can readily attest that these machine are more difficult to upkeep in a live scenario than a guitar.

Not sure why everyone hates the video. It's a hilarious indictment of the glorification of athletes and the manipulation they're subject to by the media. Look at the funny editing that makes fun of the human interest angle or the stereotypical deep gazes off camera/tight close ups. It ends up devolving into absurdity, which is pretty much how sports is marketed, especially with the band tossed in there. And to those that think a "romantic" video would work better, that'd be horribly cliche.
Hilarious in 2020. We don't have sports and this feels like a parody of life.
