The camera work in this clip hopefully lead to at least a strong telling off. Watching the interior trim clips, and the strange filming of the car in that plaza, annoyed the hell out of me.

The 2011 57s I drive has the V12 6.0 liter engine with 640hp/738 lb-ft pounds of torque.
This is probably the best speced Maybach 57 I’ve seen.

You buy a Rolls to show off and this to fly under the radar some. New vs old money, but old money would skip this and buy the S class.
These Maybach's may be bargains by now with prices of some used examples being around 50 grand, but don't be fooled by the steeply low price as the maintenance costs are still pretty high.

My uncle has a 57 and a 62. I've only driven the 62, it's not as bad to drive as you would think!

Back when a maybach was different from an s class
She has a wonderful heart (engine), incredibly beautiful mind (interior).... but for a quarter of a million pounds!..... she ain’t much of a looker. In fact her sisters (S500/S63/S65) are each in their own way ... beautiful. And quite a lot cheaper (think ..dirtier). Thanks for the incredibly well edited, albeit older, video.

People thought It was too much of an S Class for that amount of money, but what a car these Maybachs were! Unlike todays S Classes which have Maybachs as more expensive trim levels, utter shame.
Why buy one.. it is an opulent S class... no more... for the money, buy a Rolls........

That's an outlier. Most are 70-80+
Fine German engineering with a whopping big V12 engine, lots of gadgets and borrowed ideas from Rolls Royce cars. Another very conservative ordinary looking expensive car that will be worth half its price in 5 years time. I'm not negative. I just can't buy the crap the car industry is pushing at us when a cheap Japanese car offers so much for so little money, and then they throw in for free, dependability. Some of these new so called modern luxury cars today are very carefully craftered by Taylors for the new Emperors.

Too similar to the W220 S500, I don't know. But too similar to the W221 S500, yeah, that might be much more creditable.

Look at the steering wheel and dashboard of this Maybach and a a W220, they’re pretty much identical, except of course that the Maybach is more dressed up
@@McBeamer94 You have to be kidding? Do _any_ research. This car is based on an extended 220 unibody. The thing started development way before the 221. It's basically an S600 with the M275.
