I want to buy soak of nail polish because my nails break fast. I have some questions: does it strengthen the natural nail in a way like the builder gel does? Can it make nail thicker and stronger? I would like to have 2mm to 5mm over the fingers long nails. Would it be realistic? Do I need primer and dehydration?
what sort of LED-lamp do you use? How many watt is it? Can you use gelish also with the lighter en smaller sort of LED-lamps? Or do you need to cure just a little longer then?
PH bond is mostly alcohol so I often skip it. It is recommended by Harmony Gelish. If you have it, I recommend using it. If you don't clean very well with alcohol. :)
Thanks for the tutorial :) Can you apply nail art on the nail before the top coat using regular nail polish (like a striper brush)? Or would that not be compatible?
Ur so lucky! My cuticles an skin round nails are always flaky and crap lol im constantly using hand n nail cream so much dry skin all round mine so bugs me also ur nails r lovely an straight mine grow so uneven 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 xxx
I have exactly the same problem with this Gelish polish! Such a shame :( I now always use the one step polishes from Crystal nails, those work the best in my opinion.
This is my first time using The meet across unbalanced soak off I am a first beginner doing my nails I bought the stuff on wish list I am trying to make my nails grow hard
I've started doing my own gel manicures at home since October. I've had to return 4 bottles of polish for clumping! Getting frustrated! Okay I started doing my nails at my sunny desk that does get some sunlight. I figured that was the main problem. UV light, right? But my question now is how dark of a room (no daylight flooding in) do I need to do this in? I have a very sunny house.
+Kateřina Hrdinová thank you so much! I figured this was the problem. Just feel badly having to return expensive products......and waste my time too. Wish I would have known ahead of time.
You are supposed to dry-wipe after curing Foundation coat (base layer) before applying color coats. You can use a lint-free wipe or a dry nailbrush. That's what it says on the bottle instruction and harmony gelish TH-cam videos.
+Selena delira if you dont use the foundation and primer your polish will be more likely to chip and or just peel off. i would recommend to use both for best results
when I always use Gelish it will crack or come off after 2 or 3 days i put so thin layer but still it doesn't work i use base ( don't know the brand ) Gelish ( 2 coats ) and top coat ( glaze n go ) what should i do ???????????????????????????
shamim haghighi vand glaze n go is more more gel enhancements or acrylic. No for gel polish look at the instructions on the website. Try a different top coat
Make sure you swipe each nail a couple times with acetone, and use a dehydrator like ph bond, or even cnd nail fresh and buffing won't be necessary. If you don't have a dehydrator, then swipe each nail with acetone a few extra times as acetone will help to remove oils and dehydate the first few layers of your nail. If you have a primer use it on your tips to help with adhesion. That should eliminate the need to buff, this is what I do since I prefer not to buff either.
No problem! Let me know how it turns out if you get a chance. If you happen to get chips or lifting this go around, don't get discouraged. There are primers that can help if you are prone to lifting, I personally use ASP gel primer in the blue bottle from Sallys and i've heard great things about fingerpaints gel primer. When I first got my kit, I did my nails and it didn't work for me, so I threw it back in the closet and forgot about it. Pulled it out about 6 months ago after hearing about the asp primer and have had great results. I'm getting ready to soak off a mani i've had on for 23 days and i'd leave it if it wasn't for so much regrowth lol
Chelle Me that's great to know! I bought a set with primer, top coat and 3 different colors, so I'm all set with those :-) After I apply and have the experience I'll let you know for sure, thank you again :-D
14 days!!! This way you keeping them long time on your nails which will case skin cancer not letting your nail breath please don't keep them more than 2 days
I love how you got straight to the point and no extra music or random edits and long talking. Subscribing to you ❤️
I just got a 72w UV light and I learned soooo much from your short video. I'm excited to start doing my own nails 😁 much love from CA ❤🌞❤🌞
Thank you so much. this was very informative and you answered all of the questions that I was wondering about.

Awesome tutorial! How do you cure polish when your lamp is a UV/LED combo lamp? I’m never sure how long
You have pretty nails
I got a set with foundation, ph bond and top coat. You seem to only use the foundation and the polish. Will I need the others?
My Gelish top coat is brand new but is already getting really gloopy before putting on my nail. Is there something I can do to prevent this?
I heard you put it in your hands and strike it between them to make it warmer and mix the material in the bottle itself bevor opening and using it.
what sort of LED-lamp do you use? How many watt is it?

What is the difference between Soak Off Gel Polish and the normal gel polish?
Excellent tutorial! Gave me exactly what I was researching
How do you remove it? Says soak off.. is this true? ..
Thanks, perfect for beginners like me.
Can i use the shellac clear base and top coat for the gelish polish or does it have to be the gelish foundation
Can I use acetone to wipe of the sticky layer after curing?
Thank you... Now I know why mine was peeling after just a day or two 🤦🏾♀️. You have really beautiful fingers aswel.
Thanks for this informative video! I was wondering if you need to wipe after curing the foundation?
hello..what about the quality of this product?? Is it worth its money?
thanks for your time
Plz also tell me which gel nail polish brand u prefer
great, do you take it off with normal acetone?
PH bond is mostly alcohol so I often skip it. It is recommended by Harmony Gelish. If you have it, I recommend using it. If you don't clean very well with alcohol. :)
When you cure your base coat should it still be wet/sticky?
Been wandering too..🤔
Thanks for the tutorial :) Can you apply nail art on the nail before the top coat using regular nail polish (like a striper brush)? Or would that not be compatible?
Loren Huff yes you can!
Is ir same for acrílic with gel Paint??
@Akhil Sachdev It's a type of Polish that can't dry like normal polish can...it needs to be cured in a special light
What led light are you using here? Also does it cure the darker colours?
where did u bought it
Thank you for this tutorial. I noticed you don't use PH Bond.Is it ok to skip it when you wipe nails with alcohol?
How long does soak off gel polish last? I am going on holiday for a week and want them done before I go.
Kirsty Pickerill usually up to 14 days
Hi Melissa - The lamp doesn't cure all of my Gelish colors, but most. I had issues with a couple of them curing in the LED lamp.
Thank you for mentioning about the brush. I did exactly what you mentioned, my brush harden. I will avoid to do that in the future
Is your gelish foundation slightly milky looking?
Does a l Uc and led use same gels??
How long does the gelish last on the nail?
Best gel polish video on youtube!!!
Can you use a Gelish PH Bond as a base coat with regular nail polish? Or apply a peel-off base on top of it?
Ur so lucky! My cuticles an skin round nails are always flaky and crap lol im constantly using hand n nail cream so much dry skin all round mine so bugs me also ur nails r lovely an straight mine grow so uneven 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 xxx

Would you recommend buying the LacQit LED lamp. I see that it is only like $45. Have you ever had any problems with it curing your Gelish?
It's a good tutorial for me start gel nails. Thanks!
For me edges remained white, i put the colour gel on it, more times, but it's disapper. Do you have any tricks for that?
I have exactly the same problem with this Gelish polish! Such a shame :(
I now always use the one step polishes from Crystal nails, those work the best in my opinion.

Very good tutorial thanks heaps, well done.
What did u clean mail with ??? After buffing ??
Alcohol
So helpful! Thanks for making this!!
Do you use a UV or LED lamp when curing? I've read your video of the MelodySusie 12w led lamp. Will it cure all your gelish polish?
I use LED. The 12w will cure most of my polishes... some take a little longer than normal.
@@chickettesblog 12w😲 I just ordered one for 17 bucks 48w. Does it work well to have only 12w🤔🙄

+Susan H just avoid day light, do it for example in the evening when there is no sunshine
+Kateřina Hrdinová thank you so much! I figured this was the problem. Just feel badly having to return expensive products......and waste my time too. Wish I would have known ahead of time.
I've had Tiki Tiki Laranga but it doesn't look like this one at all ... It's more like very bright neon orange...

That's the first time I've heard that! Why's that?
After curing for 30 sec the foundation is still sticky ! Is it ok to do the colour despite stickiness ?
can i ask you if the process the same for acylic nails?
Can I cure gelish with UV Lamp
Does Opi gel works with led light¿
Can you use a regular top coat my kit didn't come with a top coat
No
Great video, Very informative thank you!
Awesome tutorial! So this will work with any gel soak off polish brand? Like LeChat Perfect Match?
Yes, this is the process for most gel polish brands. There are some brands that don't require a base and/or top coat.
Hey what led lamp do you use? I find the gelish lamp to be a bit pricey "/
do u have to have the foundation and primer
+Selena delira if you dont use the foundation and primer your polish will be more likely to chip and or just peel off. i would recommend to use both for best results

CAn u do a nail shaping vid
Hi!
How many days it's good, lasting? two week? or some day?
2 weeks probably.
I make hard gel for my friend last for 2month.
So you only whip off after the gloss stage...not in between colours??
Plus that'll remove the stickiness that helps them adhere together.
you can cure any kind of nail polish with an LED light. I do it all the time.
when I always use Gelish it will crack or come off after 2 or 3 days i put so thin layer but still it doesn't work i use base ( don't know the brand ) Gelish ( 2 coats ) and top coat ( glaze n go ) what should i do ???????????????????????????

You should use the gelish top coat.
Thank you for this awesome video ! All my questions are answered :)
What do you do with primer if you dont have the foundation😅
does it scrape off?
Hi just wondering how long do gelish polishes last? Like do you have to replace them. Thanks :)
They typically last 14-21 days and then you have to soak the polish off.
Sorry I mean the actual polish
Andrea B Can Ph Bond work with Normal polish as well as Gel?
I don't see why not. It's just a dehydrator to help the polish adhere to the nail better.
Tara Swain
most have a shelf life for 2-3 years from what I have seen on my bottles
I don't work with acrylic, so I don't know. Sorry.
can i let them dry alone since I dont have LED or UV light? and to remove the polish can you use normal acetone nail polish remover? thanks!
They will never dry, this type of polish needs UV rays to cure.
You must have an LED or UV lamp to cure the polish otherwise as stated it will never dry.
Thank you :)
It should last 2-3 weeks.
What happens if I don't buff my nails? I don't want to do that :-(
