The final match was great but I kind of felt that the tiebreaker being consecutive strikes was lame. Would have liked to see a roll off or something.
Agreed, it's fine for every other round but come on...Ogle gets 12 (when he KNOWS he has to get 12, which I why I would always want to go first - no pressure) but loses because of a random streak Troup had. Final round deserves something else for a tiebreaker. Way to go out with a whimper
At least it's not ball speed this event. I felt that was an even more bogus tiebreaker.
Ogle deserved a tie break match.both guys are beast

Should of did a tire breaker just cut the 2mins to 1min
Tie breaker makes sense though.. In real bowling more consecutive strikes equal to a higher score so cant be mad at it.

Most people don't realize the Kyle Troup is actually the biological son of Bob Ross. Kyle took his step-father's name after he and Bob had a falling out. Bob wanted his son to paint, but Kyle only wanted to bowl.
I dont like the new PBA...removed all the traditional tour stops and make funky competitions like this all held in one house that are really unimportant and speed bowling being he worst example of it. Its goofy carnival BS stuff like this that will doom the PBA future beause at the end of the day, no one cares how many strikes you threw in this.
There was nothing wrong with 5 man stepladder every Saturday, yet the PBA has seemingly tried to undo everything that made it great. League and brackets and reformatting everything is gimicky.
I also feel bad for the great bowlers who cant roll it heavy like these guys can. This was never more self-evident than watching Walter and Norms balls skidding down the lanes in the team event. They are skill bowlers, with accuracy not crankers. I think they have messed with too many facets and left it mostly uninteresting versus looking forward to the next event.
I also dont like all the downtime in this schedule. The PBA just stops for more weeks than it did in the past. Signing themselves to Bowlero was probably a wise move for the future either.
Not a big fan of all that yelling, especially when someone is talking and when a bowler is trying to concentrate. I think they even fabricate more yelling when it's not loud enough. Also, I wish that Randy with his old jokes is forced into retirement and bring in someone new and relevant!
