- The PBA is back and returns with a new tournament, the PBA Strike Derby. The rules are simple, bowl as many strikes as you possibly can in two minutes. Prather defeated Anthony Simonsen in the finals to take the crown.

The video (and its title) popped up in my search and also in the side "up next" column so I never clicked a thing aside from the search button and I had the outcome ruined by Fox Sports' title.

In 5:13 Kyle Troup has already 9 strikes.he makes the shot,dont make a strike but they count it as a strike and the number goes to 10 strikes.
Aside from the title issue, does anyone see how MASSIVE that trophy is for a brand new event?
Is it just me or is Sean Rash throwing it so slow that his ball is DOA when it gets to the pins? Like it’s going through ok but I swear those balls aren’t over 13 lbs
Well specto says 16-17 but thats off his hand. The ball usually slows down 2-3 mph. So yeah around 13. His rev rate was only around 390 that night so he had to throw it really slow
It looks like he might have injured his arm or had some soreness and tightness. One of the last views of him sitting down looked like he had an issue with his bicep and/or shoulder @9:58

Are there social distancing
As you can see they stood a few feet apart during interviews, and when bowlers competed they jokingly kicked at each other's feet lightly instead of the traditional hand slap we all do in bowling. So yes, they made an effort. When my own league play starts up, I'm sure we'll be pointing at each other instead of hand slapping too.

1:16 and 9:30 odd leaves 3-4-10 split
Yeah you hardly ever see these even in league play, where people miss badly, a lot. with the pros almost every ball is in the pocket, and when they do miss it's often the exact same kind of misses, such as a nose dive for a Greek Church or the Big 4 Split. So weird splits like the 3-4-10 was very jarring for me to see too.
*Wasn't a big fan in the format because it relies on all the lanes to be working and cycling at the same pace for all bowlers at all times. After I saw that not happen in the 1st round, I turned it off.*

I had to turn the channel when I started to watch this the other day. This is stupid! COME ON PBA !
I know, right? It's almost as if a pandemic is preventing the hundreds of bowlers from competing with each other. So stupid.
I guess you like everything the way it always is. I found this pretty exciting and compelling. Pros excel at precision and repeating their shots, and here they have to run from shot to shot, out of breath, and bowling almost completely by feel. It must be terrible to try to do this if you are out of shape or just old. But I wouldn't mind seeing more of this even when the world is "Normal" again. Of course, you always have the right to turn the channel. To each his own I guess.
@@Ironfangzu this is my opinion about the show , I'm sure a lot more people may have liked it. Bowling is not a running sport, it is about repeated shot and being consistent on hitting your target. You have your opinion and I'm fine with that, I was just seeing if I was one of the only person that didn't like it.
