The new version of the 9mm can produce 45fpe tho. The old defense is only 30fpe. I own both.

Then the new 9mm would be worth looking at for sure.

Since you own version 2.0 any feedback with the cylinders holding air after a few weeks of filling? I have seen some reviews about misfires, so that reliability issue has kept me from buying for selfdefense, although the yellow color puts me off too. Thanks

@@josephstewart2439 they're not reliable for one week. They're 100% reliable for same day shooting I have find. Perfect jogging gun or going out to the park. But it isn't reliable if you want it for home defense where you don't know when you might need it. It might fire, might not. I go to work and go home. I pump the air in the morning then I take the bus home, when I go home I always shoot the gun to see if it would've went off or not. So far for the past month , it's gone off during same day charges.

@@josephstewart2439 and one more thing. :) It fill mine up to 6000psi with the smooth bore barrels. Bin did his test around 4500psi. :) This gun is stronger than advertised. I think it's capable of producing 60fpe. Don't have a chronograph so idk. But whenever I do fill them up to high pressure, they fire both barrels at the same time. In my opinion that's a good glitch within the gun, some people want two shots tho. It does double fire at times is what I'm saying..

I like the setup a lot. I use that holster with an FSC (which is too big for EDC, really) .. but I think that holster is great. I will have to look into that pistol. Self defense is a major concern in most places I go, it seems. In the video at least, that pistol looks like a good size. I would say those pellets are great for hunting or defense. Those expand a lot .. after penetrating using the tip. The tip also has a reverse point on the other side which really expands the lead.

Yea, it's a nasty round. I used to carry the FSC and TCP but, they got too heavy for me and in some cases, unreliable. The defender is a decent size. I have the longer version but, it's very slim and fits comfortable.

@@shamelhass2335 Yes the FSC is too bulky and sharp-edged to work well for EDC on the body or concealed or with holsters even. That 1791 leather holster you have is actually the best I have found for the FSC (large version, inside waistband). I'm gonna look into the Grimburg Gavle more too.

@@maxhauler I think the gavle is based off the FSC platform.

    • @maxhauler

@@shamelhass2335 Well Grimburg developed the Gavle totally independently based off experience with many air/gas-powered devices, specifically the FSC, TCP, VKS from First Strike/Pepperball/Tiberius etc. but also the Valken M-17 and others .. but also from scientific principles as you can see in their many videos of the process. It's a completely different design than the FSC. The Gavle is designed to do most things differently from the FSC/TCP. It is designed first to be very compact and very powerful, which it is. I like how it has rounded edges in addition to being as small as possible. The FSC/TCP really have problems with the bulky size and the sharp edges in my opinion. Pulling an FSC/TCP quickly out of a typical pocket can easily result in a bad snag at the worst possible time. But I still choose the FSC for EDC for the time being and deal with the pocket-snagging issue in other ways. Also, I usually wait for the V2 or V3 of anything, no matter how great.
