Apparently pairing this thing with "VR ARCADE" and quest 3 , makes for one hell of an arcade. Im in, thanks Glen Sir! always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Xarcade has sold millions of Tanksticks in the last 10 years, just dumb to make a proprietary control panel and miss out on the entire tankstick owners market! Tankstick $199, a nice stand is $200 I still have plenty of room left over to make a decent mid grade PC that will play ALL of the retro arcade games for thei $800 price tag! metal keyboard type stand so nowhere to attach light guns or gaming consoles or whatever else! Why would anyone want this over a Legends ultimate HD at $599 that is a complete arcade?
YES. I shelled out $250 for the Tankstick Max just 6 months ago, not knowing that this was waiting in the wings (Also, I did not yet have a Quest 3). I'm not going to shell out another $500 just for the VR functionality, so I'd love to know if there's a way to make the Tankstick work with the Quest somehow. This item comes with a Bluetooth dongle so I'd love to know if that's all that's needed.
yeah! I was just about to note that they thought of VR controller slots but no spinner or flight stick, lightgun holsters, flip-out mount nubs for wheels, etc.. there's TONS of modularity built into the bottom that looks well-thought ...idk just boggles the mind a little😅
Looks pretty sweet. I'll wait for a sale if it ever happens though. The VR integration would be cool moreso for Pinball FX VR. I definitely want to pick up though eventually, I've had this crazy idea to mount A projector in my pool table room for watching sports and what not, but would be super cool to have this with my PC setup to play old school games on a 120-inch screen!
I’ve had the original 2-player version of the X-Arcade for 14 years now and it’s still going strong. Only had to change a few micro switches in all that time. If this is the same quality then it’s a no brainer.
Just bought their most expensive version of the Tank Stick and would have been nice if they had a stand too. The shelf for a projector would be a bonus
This reminds me of my Qanba 2009. The unit featured in this video's color scheme makes it look like a Fisher Price toy compared to the Qanba 2009. That said, the unit featured in this video will save you money compared to Qanba's equivalent product, so that's a win in my book. Initial negativity aside I look forward to picking this up and making it all black. I have the perfect spot for something this sized. Thanks for the video, Mr.Glen.
Thanks Glen! I wished they bolted the trackball in from the inside. Product looks awesome. Been a fan of X-Arcade (and you, of course) from the beginning.
Would've been even more cool, if it's vertical support arms were telescoping, so you didn't have to black horns sticking up off the controller. Also would've been cool if it had a VESA mount arm for installation of a flat panel display of various sizes. Still, it's a very cool product. Thanks for sharing this with us. :)
Imagine winning EVO with this thing whether it be Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Guilty Gear Strive, or some other games they have at EVO.
VR pinball is good but I'm not sold on this product being suitable for it. If only there was a sturdy full size cab with swappable controls so I could get a pinball panel with plunger and buttons for this use case...
Original Tankstick has enough room to mount a plunger and has flipper buttons included, just need a stand for it! Glen is coming out with a full size cabinet soon!
Wow, horrendously ugly first of all. Second I have no idea why they wanted to go with a new propreitary control panel alienating all of the owners of the Xarcade Tanksticks that have been sold for the oh IDK last 10 freaking years! That is just a huge market they could have tapped of existing Tankstick owners! No spinner! To top it off it is overpriced at $800! Buystuff arcades makes nice quality mods and I own many of their products but this is a big swing and a miss IMO!
I feel like this is one of those Arcade company "vanity" projects they slapped together and though everyone would break down the door trying to get one. Now partly in its defense? The metal stand is truly nice and has a solid look and presence. But there are FAR more lower cost options for an arcade setup like this that doesn't carry an "exclusive" price tag. A wood option would have been better, and if don't have kids or go nuts over your gaming? Even melamine or particle board would be adequate. As for the control setup? It seems to carry the quality that X Arcade is famous for. But there are a lot of combined "controls and hardware" options from Atgames, Amazon (Pandora's Box) and others that have built in games and hardware for less than the asking price of the Arcade2TV-XR ($499 for preorder and they give you the 69.00 optional soundbar for free only if you preorder) and the XR is user provided hardware only. Also, if you wish to hook this up to a console, they sell "optional" adapters. So IMHO, there are better gaming options that can be obtained for less money and do an equal, to better job. Now the video presenting it? Great! You showed its features and assembly. But the asking price is a dealbreaker with no provided hardware. And less with not even a monitor, nor projector bar mount.

They should sell the pedestal by itself and with a kit that let's you mount the original tank stick.
Preach bro preach!
If we ask glen will make

Yes, been trying to figure out a DIY X-Arcade pedestal myself.

for what they charge for this you would think they would use the Tankstick MAX style of controller with the two Spinner controls.

Man what a cool arcade stick set up. Wish I had the $500 for it. Setting up to modern systems makes it very versatile.
Can’t wait to see what game consoles are compatible. That might be the deciding factor for me.

Like the Pedestal but going Japanese Style is a steal backwards from just about the only company making American/European style setup
Why no spinner controls?
that soundbar looks like the Edifier G1500 BAR 7.1 Surround Desktop PC Gaming Soundbar. i seem to remember this from another TH-cam vid somewhere.

Anyone know if the new tank arcade max fits on the stand? Or if they plan to sell a similar stand with it cause I’d totally pull the trigger on that
This came out after I ordered the new tank stick with spinners
Same. Now I'm feeling bad
Would you be able to confirm if the Bluetooth dongle could be used to make the Quest 3 work with a regular Tankstick?
They missed the boat on not putting extra buttons on the side for pinball nudging.
I have been searching the world over for this exact setup to work with analogue pocket arcade cores? Will this work for the AP?
Glen is that one of your trackballs? How big is it? I don’t suppose there’s a way to use it with an Arcade1Up cabinet/pcb?
@@lonster3000 it is ..but at this time sadly no
wish there was more space for your hands around the controls. no where to rest your wrist
$500? I'd do $300-350 max. No harm in waiting for them to drop the price.
at $803 there is no way I would purchase this I mean it's a glorified stand with a decent arcade control panel.
It's $499.00 on the X-Arcade website. But only if you preorder. They throw in a sound bar for free also only if you preorder.
Didnt even test the stability in heavy game play.
I was waiting the entire video for that 😂
Don’t worry, he said he’d do that in another video.
@@ien2023 that will be in next video
First!
It has nothing new. No need to upgrade my Tank Stick (with Trackball).
To me it looks like a repurposed racing wheel stand
SHILL! 🦊👊🏼
