      Shanahan is nothing more that a bridge between the GM and the board. I don't think any team in the history of any sport will be successful when a board has the final word, they are more concerned with money making and selling tickets. Unfortunately in sports what you need is a King, that is serious about winning.

      BigMay39 is spot on. Toronto's problems go well beyond management, coaching, and the core 4 (yes, including Marner). First of all, the chemistry of the bottom 6 forwards never seems quite right, certainly not good enough for a cup run. Then, despite what seems to be endless wheeling and dealing, the blue line continues to appear subpar, again not good enough for a cup run. Lastly, ditto the goaltending. Samsonov is too inconsistent, and Woll is to injury prone. Unless and until Toronto makes some serious improvements in these areas, the Leafs will remain a very good tier 2 team in the Eastern Conference.

      Part of that was Keefe's failure to motivate his team. What the true good teams, they skate to the puck, the Leafs typically coast to the puck. The Bruins' O.T. goal was just another example during game 7.

      @BrownKnee666 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @dmonsef he didn't do a great job in EDM but that team is flawed from top to bottom. At least the rangers always had a true #1 Goalie, always amazing defensively and always had those depth role guys (this year took some time for NYR but it's just a general analysis for over the years). I'm comparing EDM(During MacCleanan time) to the rangers because the rangers did susccefuly go through the rebuild. If management and ownership think relying on 3-5 guys to win you a cup (Just like tor) their only fooling themselves.
      His first s
      Coaching job was in SJ. Could of done better but this was tough back in the day. LA was dynasty. VAN was president trophy winners/ top 5 team in league. ANA was good then... and don't forget that Phx was not easy to play against as well... not gonna sugar coat it but he did 7/10 their....
      So I know I'm.out of order here but the LA team he took over was trash hence why they gad huge management changes... Still signs of it their when trading for diva queen PLD but that's a different story.
      All in all I feel like.he has done an average or above average job... not Luke berube or gallant... but it does have to do with personality. Remember he was under Babcock and won the cup in Det with him.
      Can u say Babcock did better then Keefe? To me its kinda a wash their.
      Berube and gallant are ruthless and 0 tolerance kinda guys. Willy and matthwes needa that coming soft voice so they can go our their and play their game...kinda like Keefe but some things I like from Todd is his attention to detail and I feel like he can get the most out of his star players (not the depth kinda guy that berube and gallant get).
      Can't have babs, gallant, or tortz giving your top players a hard time. Tor needs calming veteran presence. Didn't work put with babs so might as well find someone similar(hockey style systems way) so I say Todd is a perfect fit here...
      Can't see gallant or berube their...
      Some ex players off the radar kinda guys i would have to say tie domi, Gilmor (ideal), and Bryan McCabe.
      Shouldn't an ex leaf 0layer get rhe chance?

    It must be nice to be Keefe as he still gets PAID his full salary while unemployed. This is contradictory to reality because when normal employees get fired, all they receive in compensation is 2 weeks worth of pay. While fired, the Leafs are paying Keefe to stay at home and do nothing. I wish I could get fired from my job as well and still get paid my full salary for being unemployed as well.
