Totally agree!! TH-camrs are dumb, idiots. They should at the very least read the bottom of the box where it says, “use of Jack Kirby's image is NOT used with permission granted by the Rosalind Kirby Trust, all other rights reserved 2023.” ToyShiz could have shown us all the box at 1:13 and then he would know how dumb he is for thinking it’s Jack Kirby.
He's missing a cigar or pipe. 😆 All joking aside, Peter Laird said in an interview that when he spoke with Jack Kirby about doing the Donatello issue Kirby gave them his blessing but requested they not draw him with a cigar...didn't want to send the wrong message to kids.
I saw that tmnt 2003 episode “the king” as a young teenager now as an adult that ending makes me tear up a little especially when he sends that paper airplane through the portal and I see his final message and Donatello feels guilty. One of Mike Pollock’s kindest characters 😭
I agree It was such a very good episode And a very nice way too Honor his legacy And Mike Pollock Was such a perfect choice to play the role Of this comic book artist legend Even if he's definitely known for voicing Eggman in the Sonic Hedgehog Series.
GOT HIM!!! Found him at a Target endcap yesterday. He was the only one along with Baxter Stockman and all four turtles. He'll be perfect next to my Marvel Legends Stan Lee. This is actually a perfect version(toon style) of Jack Kirby because of his art profession with pencil and pad in hand while, Stan stands there with his name on Cap's shield, displaying his writer's ego and sellsmanship.
Don, Life at best is bitter sweet. Take care of yourself! - Kirby P.S. I actually started tearing at the eyes at 11:25. 11:37 - OMG, it gets even better! 12:42 - Okay, now you're killing me!
Kirby fought Nazis in WWII, and would flat out fistfight US Nazi sympathizers whenever he could. To me, there's nothing more awesome than that. 'Nuff said.
I am beyond thrilled you covered this for other guys who cover collectibles have not done so but have reviewed figures based on “the other guy”. Really speaks volumes how ignorant people are as to who did what and I personally wasn’t aware this figure existed. Will definitely pick up soon. Great work Shiz!
this one rings tried and true to me. Lotta nostalgia here with this figure. and such a deep cut. So happy It was made. congrats on finding em! have a great weekend
Its so weird the gun works on the old old classic Mirage turtles. Makes me wish theyd do a remaster of those designs. The execute of the little buddy is quintessential Jack Kirby. Looks like he could step right out of 4th World or some scifi setting with a bunch of planets and kirby crackle in the sky
With this and the ML Stan Lee, we still need figures of Joe Simon and Steve Ditko. While we’re at it, let’s get figures of all the legendary comics creators! I’d love a two pack of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
I said years ago they should’ve done something like a Legends of Marvel line of real writers and illustrators that helped build Marvel and add in stuff from characters they helped establish. Have Kirby with some Mr. Fantastic swappable arms or The Thing’s fists
Toyshiz, estatic to find Kirby in the wild. Phenomenal rendering and box art. This has been a banner year for comic fans who appreciate action figures. Jack the King Kirby and Todd the Toddfather Mcfarlane. Fourth wall break poses.✌️
I just started getting into the mirage comics and I didn't know that kirby was actually jack kirby. course now it makes it even cooler and I regret not picking up the figure.
Yo this is cool. I didn’t know there was comic with that story. I would like to pick up the figure and that comic. Though something tells me I’m gonna need to find it in trade paper back.
@@Perez_studios I think it is the ones you’d want it to work with since they are the Eastman and Laird OG turtles and not the Lawson version. Gotta wait until Neca tackles a V2 like he mentioned in the vid
I don't think this is Jack. He's just refered as Kirby in the story.
Seems like a few TH-camrs got it wrong.
😂😂 get outta here
Stop attention whoring, you absolute dickhead.

most definitely can see the reasoning behind that.

ah, would have loved a tiny paper airplane. but I can make that one myself
thanks for watching!

Update: just hit up my nearest Target and found 3. Picked 1 up for myself and he looks charming as hell. Thanks for the heads up Shiz!

Make mine STERANKO!
Awesome homage! Thank you for the information on the comic ❤
hey now worries, thank you for given it a watch. have a great weekend
Awesome figure. The King 👑 . They should make Steve Ditko figure also. And Bill Finger
Finally you and NECA giving credit to Kirby. Thank you brother.
I agree I'm happy for Kirby!
all hail the king, baby!
We got Stan, Todd & now.the king. Here's a hope to do a line of all the actors & creators behind this industry..
This review had me dig up the comic to read and omg. That was a great, moving story
Toyshiz, estatic to find Kirby in the wild. Phenomenal rendering and box art. This has been a banner year for comic fans who appreciate action figures. Jack the King Kirby and Todd the Toddfather Mcfarlane. Fourth wall break poses.✌️
agreed! and so glad you snagged one.
thanks for watching!
I just got this yesterday. I had been passing him up because I didn't know who he was.
nice grab indeed
Holy hell that figure looks like jack Kirby and it’s amazing
indeed he do!
@@ToyShiz thank you so much
This is great. My inspiration. I hope i find this in the jungle.
you got this!
good luck this weekend
I need neca to do another release of those og turtles 🐢
I’d love to see them do a Ver. 2 like from issues 2 on to the Jim Lawsons
Awesome 🤩
thanks for watching!
I just started getting into the mirage comics and I didn't know that kirby was actually jack kirby. course now it makes it even cooler and I regret not picking up the figure.
How can NECA make a Jack Kirby figure (and a damn good Jack Kirby figure) before Hasbro!?!
Marvel hates Kirby. Friendly reminder that DC celebrated Jack’s 100th birthday and Marvel did absolutely nothing to honor his name.
Yo this is cool. I didn’t know there was comic with that story. I would like to pick up the figure and that comic. Though something tells me I’m gonna need to find it in trade paper back.
most definitely, and its a great self contained tale, until the mini sequel over a decade later
thanks for watching!
neca really needs to re-release the original mirage turtles
Why add accessories that don’t fit on anyone🧐
It fits the other turtles? Shown in vid
@@ToyShiz not the ones you would want it to work with. Its a bummer.
