It would have been awesome if they made the forearm rotation and made the thrusters a little bigger because the thrusters are a little bigger in the movie, but over all it is awesome
This is the first MPM KO I have ordered. I am just tired of Takara/Hasbro half assing it, and getting figures with little paint, and are riddled with QC issues, plus charge an arm and a leg for them. If the official was as good as this KO I wouldn't mind paying their price, but not with the short cuts they take. Thank-you for the review.
Oddly enough I have two of the official and neither have those loose joints but this new KO that I’m picking up is gonna be great Update one has fallen apart arm ratchet wise. They have smoothed out and now make a squeaking noise while they also pull the chest apart
To be fair, at least for me and some other people, I found the official release at Target for half off at I believe 74.98 or something really relatively inexpensive compared to the full price of 149.99 that they were selling it at. I was shocked when I saw that, I almost didn't believe it. Sofor me and the other people who were fortunate enough to get it at such a good deal, I'd say it's worth that price, but it's still more expensive than the 69.99 that this new figure costs, so I say that I probably should've waited a little longer.
If you got some silver spray paint, maybe you can try painting over the transparent buzzsaw and try to make it look more movie accurate. Other than that, really awesome figure. This is pretty much the definitive version of a screen accurate movie Starscream figure that we’re ever going to get.
Eh the KO alt mode colors look closer to the real Raptor than the original. It’s not exact but still a better match. I’m definitely picking this figure up. Can’t wait. Great video!
The fact that hasbro was either too lazy or too stupid or both lazy and stupid to add a hinge to that flap is pretty mind blowing. This is why third and fourth party companies are honestly better in a lot of ways.
It's even more sad that this isn't the first time they left a butt flap like that. MP Ultra Magnus has the same problem BUT of course the KO fixed that. Ffs Hasbro.
I don’t know, but I just got my Mpm Starscream, and I don’t have any issues with the joints being loose, if anything, I think they’re way to sturdy than I’d like to, feel like I could break it at some point (hope that doesn’t happen)
i think the darker color sceam looks better, id love to see them give this a movie 2 repaint with all the tatoos, because it doesnt seem like takara will

The knock off ver is very impressive Every single mpm has lighter paint paint and the KO just repaint and remolded some parts(sometimes for some reasons)
ok i was really dissapointed in the first starscream mp, for multiple reasons. but even though this one doesnt change anything other than the paint job, i would actually buy this one. wtf is with hasbro? theyve been cheaping OUT. AND THIS FIGURE IS CHEAPER THAN THE OFFICIAL!
I'd recommend the figure also... if you get a non-defective unit lol. I can't leave mine in Jet mode because the legs have two tabs that attach onto the holes on the thrusters but it won't stay on. Oh well.. But other than that, it looks gorgeous.
My thoughts too. The same nitpick I have too is the blue color at the bottom part of the booster. If they are doing more accurate ver they should have kept it greyish.
This is super movie accurate starscream metal deformances but the head is now updated he can open mouth and i know i also have an megatron mpm 08 masterpiece
I thought the greys that were used in the head sculpt were too bright when compared to the rest of the body. I would recommend darker greys but that’s just my opinion
so this is a seperate comment because i want it to be seperate but the mp-10 ko is more accurate in both modes for 1 f22 raptors are not desert colors they're grey and the star symbol is only on one wing so that makes the jet mode more accurate to real life and the movie but in the movie starscream does have 2 of those star logos but the one on the left wing is a decepticon logo instead of a star now the robot mode its amazing but and this is a big but some aspects are a bit iffy like the hands they are still the same shitty semi articulated hands but overall its more accurate
Hasbro keeps slacking man. Gotta keep letting the market decide what "masterpiece" means because this KO is INSANE!!! Force hasbro to give us even better figures/products by supporting the ones that are actually worth the money ;)
After comparing the KO one with the movie, having broken white color at the tip of the air plane nose and wings is completely same with the F22 in the first movie.
I wonder if anyone at hasbro ever thought of a bottom panel that hides all the robot bits. Take this MPM figure, after you've transformed starscream you now have an underside that's full of robot bits. After you'd transform it, you just attach a panel at the bottom to hide all of it, completing the transformation look.
@@Nemesis2508. Not exactly, just a straight up piece of whatever the toy is made out of that looks like the underbelly of the vehicle they turn into. Take Starscream here, once you transform his figure you just stick the panel on the underbelly and it hides the robot bits, making a much more convincing jet.
Funny thing is that with his legs fully stretched he makes an almost perfect scale with BA Prime and MW Megs, in TFW2005 there are some lovely pics of this KO with Optimus
@@TheBatman39 I’ve seen. Unfortunately even with his legs extended it doesn’t as mass and width to him, so it doesn’t really scale that well. Plus also, in a neutral stance his legs are bent anyway so it isn’t super accurate? I love the color scheme on this guy don’t get me wrong, but for me he needs a upscale
whenever a 4th party company comes along with a ko of the mpm figures it just shows that hasbro and takara are being really lazy with the MPM figures like these aren't mainline toys they're collectibles they need to look like they jumped off the screen not like the original toys just got upscaled although mpm optimus does reuse some things from the leader class optimus's but its like cmon put in a bit more effort so far the only mpm toy i have that isn't a repainted 4th party figure is barricade cuz hasbro did an amazing job with him but the rest look dumb megatron is just weird looking with the grey and clear red optimus just looks stupid he isn't baby blue and light red hasbro he's a dark blue and crimson red bumblebee was fine but thats all just fine and then this star scream jesus the jet mode is a but atrocious (somehow mpm-01 aka revenge of the fallen leaderclass starscream did a better masterpiece starscream both modes on him look fucking amazing for what he is which is a mainline figure) its just i want my expensive collectors item to feel like a collectible not like i just bought it at target
