      Great tutorial. I’ve also heard through the grapevine you joined the industrial revolution. Not to shabby. A 1541? Congrats and you will say OMG. Where has this been. It makes things easier. Hugs my friend. Keep up the good work.

    Yaaasss! I love this bag. Can't wait to make it! I also am patiently waiting for the Sandhill Sling and the Range Backpack!! I like the idea of the grommet even if the bag isn't being used for "yarning" (that's what my husband calls it because he can't distinguish between knitting or crochet😂). You could easily put a hand sanitizer holder or clip your keys on there and then they are not at the bottom of the black hole!

    Jess, I have been a big fan of your channel for a long time and have been trying to learn bag making. You are such a GOLD MINE of information, especially for a beginner sewer/bag maker like myself. I'm not even a bag maker, I'm just a newbie sewer tryin' to learn. I don't know why, but I am determined to learn how to make bags. I have struggled through some projects here and there and I proceed with extreme caution. However, watching your tutorials and hearing you walk us through each step along with explanations, it just boosts my confidence like, "YEAH! I can do this thing!" Thank you so very much Jess for making these tutorials. I have learned so much just from watching this one tutorial and you have a plethora of them. So many tips, I'm ready to go. Let's sew!❤

Another great place to buy the water proof canvas is Fabric wholesale direct ( there a little cheaper than other places online).

    I learned a stitching trick when using heavy vinyl or leather. When you sew the darts in this pattern try preparing the dart 🎯 by NOT threading 🧵 your sewing machine. here’s why an unthreaded sew machine POKES HOLES along the dart pathway. You can do this one or more times. Then thread your sewing machine and sew as normal. That’s how you conquer most heavy materials on a domestic sewing machine .😀🧵🪡👀🌺

    • @makermusik
      @makermusik 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      she mentioned it in her snack bag video, but the heavier thread on the outside is to make the topstitching strong and a more substantial look. Usually, topstitching is more pronounced and also an aesthetic statement.
