No Graffiti!!! It’s hard to believe these days ever existed. Thanks for a look back at a much better time then today. Sigh 😢BTW still miss The SP.
this scene has changed so much today... I love seeing the first gen geeps still putting in the work, and even leading some cuts of container wells...
In 1979 I lived in am apartment in Pinole for 4 months while on a Santa Fe surveying gang. Enjoyed the work.
Before moving to Sparks NV in 2020 I used to frequent this spot on Sunday mornings to catch passenger and freight trains.
Thank you for sharing!!!! SD- 9 s on the mainline....YEAH !!!
Always appreciate your efforts! Was hoping for at least one CZ shot!
Excellent video!!!! Great narration!! Love these old videos.
SP mixed freights are so aesthetically pleasing to me. The boxcars mixed with piggybacks and Cotton Belt hoppers. It's probably my nostalgia from my repeated viewings of my Pentrex Donner Summt VHS as a kid.
We want more, we want more!! Thank you so much for your videos and history coverage.
Very cool!
Cool video here.
SPSF should have been a thing, it is so sad that we only have two companies in the west now
Southern Pacific would be acquired by Union Pacific in 1996 and cease operations that year.
Oooh sweet more bay area 90s action!!! Please upload more!
