Your reactions early in the vid to the power of the Plasma Punisher is identical to mine when I picked it up a few weeks ago. It's soooo good for medium and below bots. I run it with AC and the stagger from the Punisher gives just enough time after hitting a devastator to draw the AC and finish them off when I run into one around a corner. I haven't been able to put it down in a long time, probably my favorite primary for bots.

I swear sometimes it feels like you get take a rocket to the face and take almost no damage, but the impact of getting flung into a wall is what kills you lol

Been trying a similar setup since your last vid, with commando instead of hmg. Pp’s stun but low dmg output pairs really well with the puppy, giving it time to headshot devs. Also enjoying Strafing run too for the same reason.

Oh and I’ve been meaning to suggest Airburst rocket launcher against bots since it surprisingly can snipe fabs and turrets from afar, but it lost that tiny niche since commando came around so…
Yeah, been meaning to work Strafing run into my loadouts too. Had an idea for bugs, but not yet for bots. Glad my videos gave you some ideas!
I've been meaning to return to the Airburst, but maybe only once they've given it the proper staged reloads. Having to restart it after getting interrupted at the last moment is so annoying...

Once i got used to the fact that it's fine to call in the Guard Dog multiple times during a mission, and is just expected when using it, made it a lot better to me for bots.

mainly because of all the lil shts that like to jump in front of your shots (and ragdoll you)
I wasn't using the rover though, so that might keep the danger-close bugs under control
it'd be interesting to see how that combo works
Whoa! I was worried when you started going for the all terminal prompts on the final objective right away. Since each one button prompt starts of wave, without clearing the previous waves first, you basically brought all 3 waves in at once, lol! That's why the Geo objective can get out of hand especially against bots.
Anyway, I'm liking how the Guard Dog pairs with the plasma punisher in this video. I might consider it for co-op runs where we're more likely to go loud.

Why guard dog instead of rover?
Hits harder to take out those Troopers and Devastators faster, and its main downside of low ammo isn't such an issue vs bots.
