Thanks! Haven't watched his vid yet. Think it depends on whether you like the pump shottie class to begin with, I love it for one shottability, great sustain and stagger for safety.
@@newspiked7385he also mentions that ppl who liked the punisher will also like the cookout to be fair. The reload loop and the stagger are just flat out great imho. @@hagenjager1952 yeah, sounds about right, think that's fair. And yeah, the state of balance can always be improved, but people who say they have no choice honestly need to explore more. Something becomes bad, something becomes good. People really shouldn't react to balance changes like it's big drama. Overall balance in the game is much better now than it was on release. And we should be glad about it:)
💯 the overarching trend is towards much better balance, make your critiques heard but still have a little faith...they didn't stumble upon all the little pieces that make this game great by complete accident now.
And the fire breaker is still usable too. You gotta watch your ammo a little, sure, but you can still get 30-40 kills in one mag if you look towards a breach.
@@newspiked7385 My only gripe is when they nerf guns that are already mid. It doesn't make me want to try it again. They should go down the EDF route to be honest. No gun feels weak because they're all ridiculously overpowered. They don't balance the game by nerfing guns, they just throw 300 enemies at you instead 😂 nerfing guns is always going to piss people off that use them. Buffing/adding enemies never seems to get the same reaction. The Devs are also inconsistent in their logic. I.e "fixing fire streams" but not fixing the wonky acid breach on biles and slugs. It's odd to me because I swear EDF was the inspiration for Helldivers. 4 player co-op, huge city levelling air strikes and killing bugs 🤔
I dno, when I played EDF 4.1 and 5, there were some clear winners in certain categories I felt, at least as a Lancer main there were whole classes of weapons I never touched. It's also a different system where as you progress and unlock more stuff, older weapons are intended to be made redundant. You can have a look to see what I wrote if you want, but there are some pretty strong reasons why you can't always buff other guns to make up for it, and scaling up enemy difficulty has performance limitations or yet more unintended balance consequences between AT and chaff clear for example.
that 1:53 coordinated takedown was *chef's kiss* amazing anyway thank you guys for the gameplay. for now i will be watching helldivers gameplay, hopefully i could buy helldivers 2 soon hahaha
Wow! The Cookout looks like a lot of fun. I love pump-action shotguns, so I'm gonna have to try it out, but I have a lot of catching up on super credits to do first.
Niceee new Spiked! Always a pleasure! I've personally been running blitzer a lot. Unlimited ammo medium pen, plus light gunner (light + extra padding) armor, makes kiting a cakewalk. Now that flamethrower's nerfed, I'm back to quasar for AT needs, and grenade pistol remains a staple. I've heard that thermite has been stealth-buffed, but haven't really played around with it. Also, for impalers, I found out one AT shot removes the armor on the back leg, and you can shoot that for a very fast TTK! The face seems to be AP0, but has a lot of health.
Was skeptical of the cookout but then i used it and was instantly a fan of it. Ttk for the alfa commaders could be a little better but the stagger more than makes up for it. Has poor durability damage for durable parts but overall it keep bugs out of your personal space and wrecks all the chaff. Cookout is definitely S tier
11:11 you seems struggling with killing the bile titan without staratagem. For me personally, i usually let it strike first then target the belly, it works well with HMG and AC (Auto Cannon) but don't know for grenade launcher. Your contents is great, man, i love it 👍👍
I actually forgot the grenade launcher existed 😂 I'm really enjoying the cookout. Has nice knock back and the versatility of burn damage. Punisher always felt the meatiest of the shotguns to me so nice to get something similar.
What I don’t like about the cookout is that it does one shot the jumpers, but it takes a couple of seconds for them to die. In the meantime they can still damage you.
Tbh, I've barely experimented with them at all, but maybe there's some use for them. Afaik there's limited gains from spamming them on one target as the DoTs don't stack, though the final explosions will.
Airstrike is a worse option vs BTs, but works just fine on Chargers and Impalers, as well as general AoE with an extra charge. For Impalers in particular if it doesn't kill if leaves them low enough to finish with the GL. Part of the reason is also that I have teammates with the Spear so I'm leaving some BTs for them - in solo I might go back to 500kg + OPS.
Question, do you think your load out for this video is viable for multiple titans, impalers and chargers? (no hate, genuinely want to know cause I want to try it)
Yup! Impalers and Chargers can be killed pretty quickly with the GL alone, though you'd probably want to strike them instead if things are busy. You have a ton of stuns with this set up so don't be afraid to spam some stuns to lock everything down and let you work. If you're worried about multiple BTs, switch from Eagle Airstrike to 500kg, it's one less charge but kill BTs more reliably, can be used on Chargers too.
Killing them is surprisingly easy. Once its tentacles are deployed, its face is exposed and OPS / 500kg / Airstrike will get the kill - you can also just magdump GL / AC / MGs into their exposed face for a quick kill. Actually finding them is the challenge, particularly in the maze of the mega nests. AFAIK there's no clear indication of where they are based off their tentacles, you can check the radar and look for large dots but that's about it. In an open field, they're easy pickings, in mazy terrain they're very oppressive, those tentacles can ragdoll you for days.
