- This is the side of the world many of us in the diaspora have never seen. While I traveled to Rwanda, I decided to give a snapshot of Addis Abba International Airport.

Most of them are camera-shy in addition language barrier; your artistic explanation ❤ " African Mosaic"
Thank you
Well come back to Addis my brother and his queen. Regarding the security check , u know east Africa is currently having a strong threats from various terrorist groups and all of them have tried they even have declared a jihad on Ethiopia. Therefore , that's why the government is taking proactive measures.
I fully understand
Somalia and Egypt or terrorist 😅😅😅
Us in the diaspora support Ethiopia and what you're trying to do. Egypt will lose. It's your right
Hey Richard thanks for this, next time maybe a tour of the city with your beautiful wife. Take care and walk good☺️🇯🇲🇪🇹☺️
Great idea, I will one day
I love that leg of the journey. There's something magical about Addis. (Beautiful flower) welcome home
It really is!
LOVE the beautiful Addis Ababa Bole Airport. Thank you for the AMAZING video 😊👍

Thank you too
It's so nice seeing so many different foreigners. God bless Ethiopia.
@@amdetsion3256 Thank you
Security check for drugs and other illegal stuff .which is important.
Got you
@5:00 you mentioned of "the traditional dress/the muslim dress" the somali passengers wore, it belongs to Saudi Arabia. Ethiopia has her own traditional dress.
You're right again. Thanks
What are you talking about? Which Arab country uses "shema"? To make traditional close? Keep yourself here to yourself.
"Shemma"
I love Ethiopian women…I wish I Merry one of them….
Wow nice
ALL JAMAICANS GET YOUR PASSPORTS AND GO AND SEE ALL OF GOD WONDER CREATIONS. LEAVE THAT ENGINEERED HARDSHIP JAMAICA FOR A WHILE, AND TRAVEL TO COUNTRIES WHERE THEY ARE SUCCESSFUL ON EVERY INDICATORS, UNLIKE THAT FAILURE OF A SOCIETY CALL JAMAICA.
You are right
Failed State with brainwashed people amd corrupt politicians. Smh
Failure? What a statement to make. Ja dealing with challenges for sure, but to call it failure is self defeating, many countries in that region of the world are failed states and we don't hear them talking like that. Folks seem very friendly in that airport lol...I'm gonna stick with what I know and try to make changes.
Ethiopia is surrounded by enemies who do everything to cause harm. That's why the security is tight at the airport. It needs improvement but there is a reason why they are doing it....
That makes sense
Beautiful travel VLOG. I have seen your videos for some time now.
Thanks very much, please keep tuning in and share
Welcome to your country
I had a chance years ago to meet Rita Marley in Ethiopia 🇪🇹
I love that, "your country."
Absolutely beautiful..the little kid from duty free. Shy but very cute😮
Ok
Welcome to Ethiopia
Thank you
Welcome to Addis, My beloved 🇪🇹! Yes the girls mostly shy and against to the camera! Glad at least one of them opened up to you😂! Hope you visit Addis next time, not just transiting!? Love your expression of things! Enjoy Rwanda.
Much appreciated will do in the near future
Here comes the professional Vloger ...!
Thanks Mr. JamCan for your beautiful vid ........!
Much appreciated
You know why people are afraid of the camera? In the old days when the king was in power the journalist came to Ethiopia for political reasons I believe and recorded the famine, show to the world, introduce Ethiopia by that famine, which other country people still mentions it to this day, whenever we tell them we are from Ethiopia 🇪🇹. So the People in Ethiopia were afraid of camera because they were told foreigners begged money by showing your starvation. So the People were feeling of shame at the same time betrayal. That’s why. If we take a country as our family, when something embarrassing or some negative staff happens who would expose that? No one. Unless they need help and ask for it of course. There are poor people everywhere. It’s about choosing what you want to show the world. So that was what I heard the reason was, I might be wrong since I wasn’t born during that time. Anyone who can correct me? Thanks!🙏
That makes sense. However, it's endemic in Africa. Many don't like to be on your videos, but when the Muzungus come with the cameras, they comply. Many of us vloggers are trying to charge the Western hypocritical narrative because such a narrative is what scares many African diasporans to stay away.
@@JamCan6322 very true! In Ethiopia 🇪🇹 we struggle to speak English. When we try to mix some English words even, the older generation judge us harshly. So that might be one of the reason why people weren’t talking to you at the airport as well as being camera shy.
About other African countries… Probably other African countries have heard what happened to Ethiopia as well. And scared of the cameras. But what you are doing is like a family so keep doing what you’re doing! Blessings brother!
I think it’s a mixture of fear and culture. I watched a French guy trekking across Africa having problems with taking photos and videos in Addis Ababa. On one occasion, it almost became physical.
There is high tension there with the government and some ethnic factions that became violent a few years ago. Just learn to be respectful and understand not everyone shares your western idealism of putting people on camera. Heck, even here in NY there’s a blogger who gets into physical fights with the general public based on his secretly filming them.
You are a well traveled person to that part of the world. I appreciate the privacy that they seek; instead of everything being for public consumption.
Walk good brethren. 💪🏽
@@Delitewon well said
3:01, every country checks in coming travelers. Believe me, many countries catch what a crime other countries missed. with security you can only rely on your work.
You got a point
Enjoy Addis Ababa for the time you’re there, and co time to have a safe flight.
Much appreciated
Is a airbus a 350 that bro
Yeah my mistake
@8:38 the airplane is Airbus A350 a long haul aircraft. Airbus A320 is a regional jet.
You're absolutely correct. My mistake
Jamcam you must go to day trip to sheshemane, keep up the good works
@JohnnyJohnson-v7m Pne day, my friend, many Jamaicans are there.
2:35 there are reasons for security check in every countries, it differs
Absolutely! However, what I'm saying is that when you come off a plane, you don't need to go through another check again.
i understand, did u know most ppl are caught this way with contraband. this is secondary check just in case the security on the country u came from didn't check well for contraband
@@rexxsade6425 Now I understand, respect
Thanks bro
Beautiful blog sir, welcome home
@@DanielKiflu-y4r Thank you
Taylor David Garcia William Perez Lisa
nice video
Thanks
it is so beautiful❤
Yes it is
It is everywhere international flights they do security check. It's called custom checkpoint. Greetings from Texas.
Yeah! But when you get off the plane in Texas, do you go through another security check
😂😂😂😂😂
Happy for you guys soon be there my brother and sister
Thank you
This is the most secured Airport possibly in the world. Try to listen and pronounce Addis Ababa reasonably , or better don't say it.
We all have accents and make mistakes. However, as long as you understand me, that's all I need
Try to behave like a decent human being instead of making a fool out of Ethiopians
What's the song at 17:06?
Look in the description, I posted it there
@@JamCan6322 I did but neither of those songs are the one I'm asking about.
Thank you for nice soothing video!Next time spare few days to see the city, lots of good stuff is going on nowadays in Addis!
Sounds good!
Most of them Its a language barrier kept them away from the camera . specially when they see people from other country. .
Ok
Those planes look very very old.
They're very modern airbus fleet
Really you don't know anything about planes if you says that😂
@@ethio_apartements Perhaps
Are you a flight engineer? they are literally the most expensive top of the line airbus fleet.
