Great question Wayne. Yes, All the batteries woke up at the same time. The voltage goes across all the batteries at the same time. It's like one big battery.

Hi Bryan & Lucy! So great meeting y’all at Q22! 😎 This is a very informative video about jumping your BB batteries! Crazy they lost so much overnight. Safe travels to you all! -Marshall 🎸
Hi Marshall! We enjoyed meeting you also. I was doing a lot of editing and rendering and uploading after dark. I don't think that would have drained our batteries, but we are keeping a close eye on them. All is good for now. Thanks for watching!
Yes Ricky. I hope this video will help anyone who watches. Brian said he didn't find a video on this subject when he was doing the research on how to fix the problem. Thanks for watching!
That is odd. I wonder what ate up all that amperage... I guess you will find out if it does it again... At least you have a bright sunny day to charge them with the solar... Good thing Brian knew what to do... Good luck with it...
Hi Ken! Brian knew to check out some web sites to figure out what to do. He's really good at stuff like that. We're just glad it worked. Yes, the sunny day got our batteries charged back up. Thanks for watching!
I’ve had this happen when a loose (charge) wire on the Controller to the batteries had come loose on the bumpy road coming into the camp ground. Did no know until all the interior lights shut off later that day. I was able to start the engine to reset the BMS and charge enough that the battery management system turned back on. Solar took over and recharged normally. Love these Battle Borne batteries!
Hi Steve, We're still considering the possibilities of what happened to us. We're glad you were able to figure out your batteries had come loose and were able to fix it. We love our Battle Born batteries also.
Hi Denise! I was rendering some videos and uploading overnight, but I don't think that would have drained our batteries. We're still not sure what happened, but I'm really glad Brian was able to figure out how to get us back up and charged. Thank You for watching!
Our batteries are older and don't have the internal battery heaters in them. We keep our batteries insulated. Very good question. Thank You for coming by!
LOL, yes Felicity, they seem to have a mind of their own. I'm just glad Brian was able to figure out the fix and got them back to working again. Thanks for watching!
I read about the BB low voltage shutoff but this is the first time seeing it on video. Thanks for sharing. I'm surprised your engine isolator charges faster than generator. Mine engine dc charger is rated at 40 amps but I've never seen it put out more than 28amps at idol. I saw an inverter in your bay, so I'm guessing you don't have an inverter/charger? Maybe you can update your converter/charger to a lithium converter? I've seen my inverter charger put out 80-100 amps with generator. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, this is Brian. We have the inverter charger that came with the rig. It is rated at 50 amps. We have the separate inverter to run household appliances when we are boondocking without need of the jenny. The engine has always put out more charging amps than the jenny on our particular power setup. We are limited only by the Battle Born BMS which does not seem to want the batteries above 13.5 volts. It takes a long time to get up to float (14.4 volts) I am planning to talk with Battle Born soon to discuss the best charging options for peak performance . We do not want another low voltage event. It messes with our MOJO!!! Thanx for your input......safe travels.
@@WhoaNellieRVAdventures Hi Brian. It sounds like you have the factory (converter/charger) that sits behind the power distribution box and not an (inverter/charger). The factory converter/chargers do not have the propper charging algorithm for lithium batteries and will never bring the BB to 100% either though BB says it's drop in. They make converter/chargers that are basically exact replacements in the existing space. I had a similar problem in my class B and changing the converter/charger was the answer. As for your major power loss, that one is a stumper for sure. I'm sure BB will point you in the right direction but the batteries can handle major charging amps so I would look for the biggest charger that is reasonable swap to reduce gen time. I know I hate my gen running but seeing 100amps pumped in speeds things up. Just an opinion and I'm hoping you have a resolution.
Great video so I was curious because the same thing happened to me with just one battery reading really really low votes not even votes millivolts but I brought it up a little bit. How long did you have to charge it through your car engine to be able to get it to charge on the wall the smart charger? Thank you
We ran the RV engine just long enough (around 15 to 20 minutes) to get the batteries above 12 volts and then hooked them up to solar to completely charge them to a 100%. We hope this helps.
@@WhoaNellieRVAdventures thanks for reply , called battle born and ended up having a loose terminal.currently waiting for the repair and delivery . They sent a pallet and set up freight .the cost with these battle Borns really goes along way . I never give good reviews just because I rarely get something worth screaming about, but this company has outdone every company I've ever encountered as far as customer service goes. It was the only battery in the entire battery bank that had an issue I don't know what happened maybe I tapped it on metal I'm not sure how a terminal gets loose to begin with. But I just split the battery Bank rewired it and will set it back up how I had it when I get the replacement. He said it was nothing to worry about. But I was kind of nervous at first not being able to get a charge until I talk to them. I'm sure it will help if my terminal wasn't loose though. Either way good video cuz it's exactly what he told me to do but it just didn't work because of my issue. Thanks again though
@@redshedllc9054 Hi Jacob. Yes, Battle Born's customer service is excellent. I'm glad you were able figure out the problem and are getting the fix. Happy Trails!
Many thanks for sharing - sure is a perplexing problem wondering what caused the overnight BB drain. It got me wondering - do you still have coach batteries that feed your 12 VDC bus subsystem? If so, I wonder if your DC converter was robbing AC inverted power from you BB batteries. Regardless, glad to hear the BBs have low voltage protection shutoff yet getting down to 1 Volt seems scary, eh? Happy trails, Michael and Grace
This is Brian. The cut off was at 11.75 volts. The voltage read at 1.5 because of the low voltage disconnect. Our lithium batteries are our coach batteries that feed our 12 volt system. I don't think the DC converter was robbing AC inverted power from our BB batteries. Figuring our what drained our batteries is a work in progress.
@@WhoaNellieRVAdventures Whew, just what I was hoping to hear - hearing it was an 11.75V LVD is a big relief! So if your Victron meter has a shunt setup so you can monitor the current passing thru your 12 VDC BB system, it should be fairly easy to isolate the current drain and having 4 batteries should be able to easily handle a night time load. Happy Hunting!🤓
Interesting video. So overnight you must have drained all 4 of your batteries. Must have been doing a lot of editing Lucy...LOL. I know right where you two are parked!!!! 🍻 Sean
i havent drove my truck for day & a half at a truck stop i turned the engine on for 20 minutes to charge battery and then 2 to 3 hours later i got the low voltage disconnect but. i didnt have any lights on or anything charging though... confused new driver by the way
I wish I was this knowledgeable when it comes to lithium. But at least now I know who to call. great info guys.

Is it possible that your batteries used their own energy to run the internal battery heater because of the cold weather? You have some great storage.

You might do a diagnostic of your charging components ie...isolator....converter, to make sure your getting charge to batteries.
