I was at the top of Maine traveling when my Sterling B2B failed. I called Sterling they were of no help. I called BattleBorn, I purchased the unit from them, and they sent me a new B2B and the return label for the old all within like 5 days from their office in Reno. That’s when I realized what I was paying for with BattleBorn.
Or get a SOK 12.8V 206Ah for the same money that has a serviceable case where you can replace the BMS yourself which can mean Zero days downtime if you carry a spare one at all times. Perfect for boondocking!
@@judgedredd8876 look at that couch potato. Do you think he has the ability to do anything more that change air and eat potato chips? I doubt it. So he threw a bunch of money at it. Doesn't mean he knows anything
I am not convinced he knows what he is talking about or is biased as hell. 1) He claims they saved weight and mentioned all the empty space in the other batteries. So they saved little bit of weight on the battery casings? Are they serious? What would be the weight of the expanded, previous battery bank and what is the new one? He could easily lose 50kg and replace it with a few of these Battle Born bricks not to mention adjusting their lifestyle a bit and maybe they would need less AC, etc. 2) Extra padding is there for a reason, but if new batteries are indeed 25% smaller it is a reasonable argument. 3) I have heard only the best about Battle Born support. 4) I don't own and won't own Battle Born batteries, because they are too expensive for me. I purchased already the BlueTTI AC200MAX + B300 extension with the possibility of further extension, to 8 kWh of energy. 5) In my opinion the only valid argument is the volume, but I am curious what is the cost of it? They mentioned further optimization "didn't work", whatever it means. Maybe the connectors melted or there wasn't sufficient capacity or longevity? There is cost to it. It is the same battery chemistry after all, so it is not like they can make easily huge improvements of 25% without compromising something else.
I got the input surge limiter from Battleborn. Way overpriced, most hybrid inverters have that function integrally, and the shipping was ridiculous. Not to mention it cannot be permitted/pass building code inspection. Battle born is WAY overpriced. I got just as good service on Chinese stuff at a much lower price. Amazon is safer and has Sungoldpower and Chins or Lossigy with EXCELLENT reviews and customer service.
I have a 35 forest river cardinal 3350rlx with residential fridge, 3600 watts on roof, victron charge controller, 2 quattro 5000 inverters. and 2 discover aes 48 volt 7.4 kwh lithium batteries onan 240v commercial 6500 generator. we are mostly off grid for 1 to 2 weeks at a time and rarely use the gen, unless we are in 95 plus degrees. i think your rig is awesome! everyone I know thinks I am crazy , well maybe not after seeing yours. Great video looking forward to future videos.
How do you plan for battery location placement vis-a vis escape in the rare event there is a lithium battery overheat or fire . How do you manage low battery ambient temperature in cold weather?
Thank you to Tom, Enjoy the Journey, for highlighting Josh & Elizabeth on their channel. Josh and Elizabeth, CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU for starting your channel. We hope one day we will meet up with you because both of you are amazing talented and sharing people!
I do like the smaller size of the Enduro Power batteries and while they do appear to be built with lithium cells that are UL certified the rest of the electrical components are not. I’m specifically concerned that they do not carry the UL2054 certificate against explosion and fire. Battleborn batteries might be bigger and more expensive but they do carry this certification. Given a choice between an American made fully UL certified battery and a Chinese made and partly UL certified battery, I think I’ll go with the Battleborn.
Where are they made? I can't seem to find it on the website. Prices seem pretty comparable, BB gives free ground shipping, but the Endurance is a little bit smaller. Then again this video was made a year ago. I am looking to go off grid, so doing a lot of research and this is a big decision. The hardest part is making a game plan on where to stay and travel to and what RV to get, wow there is a lot fo them! New RV's seem to have break in issues, any advice on that? Thanks for the video!
My wife and I purchased a 2021 Grand Design 2600RB in fall of 2020. Last winter we camped in the Phoenix AZ area because we have family there. I had purchased four 100 AH batteries plus a 3500 watt generator and it worked ok except we had to run the generator several hours a day to charge the batteries. It was a hassle operating the generator plus it cost a lot in fuel. So last summer I decided to go solar and I installed three 385 watt panels on the roof plus victron charge controller, Lynx distributor and a 2200 watt inverter. I also added two more 100 AH batteries and purchased a 30 water bladder to add to our fresh water tank if needed. So the winter we spent a week with family then went to Quartzite AZ and we are still here. Have not use the generator once and our batteries never have dropped below 50%. We just have to be careful that we don’t run the microwave and hairdryer at the same time. I think if I want to eliminate that problem I would need to go to a 24 volt system with a 3000 watt victron inverter. I think the only thing we can’t run is the air conditioner on our system without the generator or shore power. So with the water bladder we can stay in one spot for a week before dumping tanks and adding water again. For us the one week dumping and the solar update made a huge improvement in our stay this winter. We don’t even worry about power anymore. I am very impressed with your updates to your RV and you should patent your solar panel system. Hope to see you sometime but won’t need your power.
Great first video! I'm also in Colorado. I'm in the process of getting a basic inverter setup in my 2022 Grand Design 28BH 5th wheel. I have 165 watts of solar and inverter prep. Do you have anyone in Colorado you could recommend to install a basic Inverter setup?
I can only speak from my own experience, but I have had great experience with the personnel at BB. They either answer or call back every time….even though I purchased my four batteries years ago, and even though my “issues” are usually NOT battery related, they are inverter or other related (which I did NOT buy from them). Everyone do what they want/need to do, but BB has treated me very well.
Same experience here! BB went out of their way to help me integrate a 200ah solution from charge controller to monitor to completion as if I were buying 10x that!
nice job! im a rookie and my batteries are dead! i think i need a new converter. but i dont know if i need to upgrade it. and if so, to what. my rig had been down for a few years cuz i just dont know what to do and don't or cant afford to guess and and drain more batteries! lol
Enjoyed the video, good stuff. My wife and I just bought our travel trailer and plan to start boondocking next summer when our daughter graduates from high school. So no we are in learning, buying and trying mode as we get ready for that. The plan... we are getting a Cybertruck to pull the camper, I plan to have enough solar to run the camper and charge the truck.. then the truck will end up being the backup generator for the camper if we need it. This means we need a bi directional setup on the rig and the ability to layout a solar "Farm" that varies depending on where we are going... so it can expand or contract as needed. Solar -> Rig -> CT -> Rig. I feel like we need a base amount of batteries on the rig itself so that it can run most things without the truck, but find that balance of weight and performance... as the truck should have 120+ KW of power available which should power the rig a long long time if needed. Anyway... in research mode now, exploring options and gear before buying/hiring to get the work done.
Hi We have been watching your video and we would like to have solar power enough to run our house frig and 1 air conditioner in our Holiday Rambler motor home Do any advice for us on how to go about doing it We live in NE Fred
Glad y'all finally made the jump to making a TH-cam Channel!! This just popped up as a suggestion and when I looked to see why someone was dumping their Battle Born Batteries, I seen it was you two!! Glad Tom was there to help you kick it off!!!
Subscribed immediately upon watching enjoy the journey. Tom and Shari are the best. Will follow you to get more knowledge. Back 20yrs ago I had to teach myself about solar. No one wanted to free up information that might help someone. I was fortunate with my power needs. We changed every light to led. Had a 12v television with built-in dvd. The only 120v we used at all was AC and microwave. We didn't have your needs, yet we still didn't use all that we generated. Many thanks.
Very good video! I don't know much about lithium batteries but did just buy 3, 48v, 30amp Epoch batteries to replace the 300lbs of lead/acid batteries. The Lithium batteries only weigh about 100lbs and leave a lot more space in my little golf cart!! Like you, I didn't want to go cheap and have to do a replacement again. I'm retired and feel that at my age, (75) that the 11 year warranty will more than carry me to the end LOL
Almost seems like server rack batteries would be the best option for you.Cheaper, smaller, more power and simple. They are heavy but not sure if they are heavier per w/h.
I have an extremely large system myself (but I do love how your panels slide out) I COMPLETELY AGREE with what you said about people often just buy what they hear is the top and most expensive brand on items,, which simply is not always the best ;) I went with Ampere batteries at a 1/3 the cost and havent had a single issue. I went with epever solar controllers, WAY better all the way around than Victron, and again at a greater cost savings :) I run multiple identical controllers, rather than just one large one, so I never have an issue of a failure taking out my enitre system ;)
I'm not an RVer but I sort of had a similar idea on my little off grid solar system...I used 18 deep cycle marine batteries for my setup. It works well enough, I use them in 24 volts hookup. I have a 2000 watts Aims inverter charger, and a couple smaller inverters. I got my batteries for right at $100 a piece. It has been a year since I had to use my gas generator. I have 885 amp hours...The first 8 batteries, I bought the 90 amp hours ones, so that I could save up for the inverter. The last ten I got the 105 amp hours ones. I used to get two , most months, and the months I didn't get batteries, I would get a couple 100 watts solar panels. I don't have to worry about the weight or size. They are kind of heavy , lol. They work, if you have enough of them. I was going to get 20 of them, but I think I have enough now. I have 1200 watts of panels which some part of them is outside all the time, some I move around some. It took me 14 months to put my stuff together...people here think if you have solar, you have a 100 watt foldable panel, and a deep cycle Walmart battery. But I wanted to be able to run an electric oven, and a small A/C unit in the summer. I have a small fridge that doesn't use much power. My system worked okay with 16 batteries. With 18, the volts don't change much, it just discharges the battery bank a lot slower. I have noticed that the charge controller feeds more amps into the batteries now. The Battle Born batteries were out of my price range...people in my income bracket read about solar and would like it, but don't think about setting aside money for the parts of it. I decided I would just buy two batteries at a time until I got enough. There were some problems ; I fried my Aims inverter charger twice trying to run different welders...it doesn't like welders...no more of that...too expensive. So I had the bright idea, ( pun intended) to use the battery bank to weld with... problem solved...with all the batteries, and new #2 welding lead wire, I can weld right off the battery bank now. I only do it at night when the charge controller is off. If I was an RVer, I might be pulling a trailer full of batteries but I wouldn't need to borrow any power...people might chuckle at my four different brands of solar panels, until I pull out the welding leads...lol...I figured when I could weld off of it, it was about big enough. What I like about solar, everybody has a different hookup. They want it for different things. It's pretty fun though, getting all the free energy to run every thing I have. My batteries are almost always in float by noon, even on overcast days...I just like the fact that if I want to air fry a pizza, it won't wreck the voltage, lol. Now, they recover so fast it's hard to believe...and we had a winter storm with four days of rainy weather, and sleet , and snow...and the battery bank only dropped to 24.9 volts...full is 25.8 ...so I guess I finally have enough batteries...I did mine by trial and error. This was my first solar experience so I had to figure it all out. I stumbled through the " buying an inverter mine field " well enough that I survived, I guess. The one I have has went up about $140 since I bought mine. I was going to save up for a Magna Sine, but halfway there, they went up, so I figured it was a sign, and bought the Aims instead. I just wanted to get off the grid, not necessarily a big neighborhood power station. So I went to get a 3000 watts Aims Power inverter charger...they were sold out...so, I had to get a 4000, or a 2000...I didn't quite have enough for the 4000, so I got the 2000 just to see how they worked before I got a bigger one. The 2000 watts one will go a surprising long time in a low light condition such as snow. I liked the lower idling current, so that 's the one I got. I don't need a big one probably...just cost more, lol...I'm glad to be finishing up my stuff...it feels like when I paid my truck off...I was in the parts house getting two batteries one time and me and a guy were talking about the solar...so he says " well, what do you do when the sun isn't out? " ...I says" well, have you ever tried to run 20 deep cycle batteries down ? " , so he says , " Oh, I see what you mean"...I thought , how funny, he thinks it only works when the sun is out...but when I told him, he got the connection between the batteries I was buying and the solar panels...lol...well, I happened across your video...I enjoy seeing how others "gather the watts" on their setups. Nice rig...way out of my league. I'm lucky to have what I do have.
How have the Enduro Power batteries performed since the change over? Have you had any failures or problems? How were they handled? Amazon has reports of customers having multiple failures and having a hard time getting a response from the company. What has your experience been? Thank you for the information.
I've been looking at RV's lately now that I've decided to take the plunge and go full-time. My biggest concern was power because I'm not familiar with electrical systems in depth, or solar panels at all, but I've been working with computers and virtual reality simulators for years. Outside of my love for the wilderness, travel and exploring, I am an avid PC gamer and trying to work out power requirements, spacing, temperature, air filtration and humidity; it's all a huge endeavor and I'm quite nervous to begin. I appreciate the information provided in the video and I am very impressed with your entire set up.
I only have a 2 battery system but every time I called Battle Borne I got someone that helped solve my issues, not to say there are not better companies. Good luck on your channel and I enjoyed your first video. I'll check back!
Same. I was building a two battery system which included a Victron inverter and battery monitor. We also needed to replace the existing converter in our travel trailer. Battle Borne answered the phone each time I called (four separate times) and provided advice specific to my situation. I guess everyone’s mileage may vary but I had quite the opposite experience with Battle Borne.
I’m getting near the time to replace our battery bank. We have a remote recreational cabin with solar. I was given 10 AGM 105 Ah 12v batteries that were used used about 20 years ago. . After a few years only 4 of them were good and they having been working great. I have done load tests and they are still at 90% of their capacity.I have Trace 4048 inverter. I also have a 12v system to power lights and RV water pump and heater. Before I retired I worked with large battery banks and inverters as part of my job duties..
I don't see that enduro service is any better than Battle Born actually it's worse at least I've been able to talk to battleborn I have emailed and called enduro with no response at all wanted to find out what they recommended batteries for my RV and the service that I wanted
Welcome to the TH-cam family. We have enjoyed each of your interviews with Tom. So happy that you will creating content that is of great value to the RV community. Take care and stay safe. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
ok i am not in a big rv i am considering converting an astro van...and placing solar and battery... are in so cal area anytime? reason 5 is important and i like that they dont answer what they dont know... honesty is best rather than guessing
Thank you for starting this you tube channel and providing your experience. The path you are taking with this channel inspires me to start my project. I am a little different as I am going to do this on my boat. Space and weight are the challenges I have also. As I calculate the energy consumption of the items I have will determine how to proceed.
great review. watched ETJ's video on Enduro the other day and was intrigued. Now yours, with ETJ as a guest.....must be a sign. We plan on upgrading to lithium at some point in the future and will consider Enduro strongly. My only concern is as a company grows, it often turns into something like Battle Born. I imagine Battle Born was a similar experience early on, but their huge success and growth does come at a cost. Enduro does sound like a great company. Like you, my biggest challenge is the design phase. I'm a former licensed electrician and pretty handy guy, so the install won't be as much of a challenge if I have some good guidance on the front end design portion.
Have you done an electrical audit? Where is all that power going? Can you look into reducing power consumption? More efficient displays? LED lighting? Brighter inside surfaces to reduce the need for lighting? Insulation? More efficient appliances?
Protonex 500 watt fuel cell 1100+ watts of solar Xantrex XC Pro 3000 inverter 4x 300ah LifeBlue lifepo4 (w/ bluetooth) Easy 12-15 kwh/ day. Life is good
Can you give us information on the camera setup he's using and brand name? I have been looking for years for a decent system that alerts you when the truck is not connected. Thanks
How was your BB wired fundamentally (parallel, series, series/parallel, .......)? And most importantly, how were they wired to the charge controller as I have 18, 12V 100Ah batteries (gel) and I want to run them at 36 volts but even if I ran them at 12V, I am getting all kinds of feedback about how to charge them where I will not be killing some of the batteries while not others. I have heard it all and don't know what to believe now.
Great information. When I had my 2021 Rockwood 2614BS built last year I ordered their optional solar package for $400. 190w panel, 1000w Inverter and 11cf 12v compressor refrigerator. I have used it for several boondocking trips. I also bought a Harbor freight 3500w inverting generator. I had dealer add a 2nd AGM battery. I knew I would eventually upgrade. So far it's been fine except running my Kurig, Microwave and AC. With a 30ft pull behind I don't have a lot of space for batteries or panels. I know I can go above my 2 ACs to get more panels on roof. I doubt I can't get enough to run one AC even with soft starts.
Hello from the high desert of New Mexico USA 🇺🇸. I live full-time in my 1967 GM TDH-4519 city transit bus on my friends land outside of Farmington. I have a 400 watt solar system and 4 100ah AGM batteries that won't hold a charge. I'm trying to sell some of my stuff so I can get some lithium cells to make a battery because I am so tired of not having power when the sun goes down. I look forward to learning more from you guys
That is a constant struggle for many full-time rvers. Hang in there! We are considering doing a battery give a way sometime soon if we can work all the logistics out.
Great job folks!! New subscriber here! Thanks for sharing your story and introducing the Enduro Power lithium's. I'll be purchasing new batteries soon and have found my resource. Keep up the great work
Right now we do not have Solar and have been boondocking in the quartzite general area in our 1999 four winds s Wind sport 33b that only has 3 105ah agm and a onboard Onan 5000 emerald plus and have been trying to figure out how to add Solar for us and our two teenagers with the extremely limited space we have.
I want to be totally off grid but the challenge for me, and now for you, is a limited budget. I currently have 800 watts of solar, two 100 amp Battle Born batteries, 2000 watt pure sign wave inverter. What’s the first thing to focus on to improve my position? Thanks for you help.
I currently have 2 basic 12v batteries. No solar. Have a generator that's way too big but it was on sale so I bought it haha waiting to get a new camper before i go wild with an actual solar system and batteries! The goal is to go full self sufficiency. Waiting to get the fifth wheel first though. Right now, it's not a major need for solar. I would like a better battery though so i don't have to worry about the furnace not working through the night. Great video!! Excited to see more of them!! 🤠
Great Video, as I am looking to build out my off-grid solar system for boondocking while we travel in the future this great information. We will definitely be putting in our name in to come moochdock
I'm hooked. Watched your other vid with Tom (about your insane level of solar power) - and the option of living off-grid for as long as possible is super appealing. I suspect my own inner geek has found a common spirit lol!
Cool video. Feedback - Odd cut off of talking in intro to intro music, also confused who’s channel this is , couple on left or dude on right . I like your personalities (elizabeth and …) The cost of going off grid is a crazy investment, talk about that. ) 100k total with rv?
What direction would you send someone who wants to use a self contained solar generator/mobil unit but 2an5 to be able to just add more batteries to the set up for more energy storage, for off grid rv/camp life?
Great first video. You're right about support. I have 2 100ah BB batteries and they work great. I had some questions about after install and left several messages, (they do not answer their phone), and have not received callbacks. Very frustrating. Wish I had known about Enduro. Good luck with your new channel. I will be following.
Dude……y’all got it going on now . I remember when you and David were just starting putting some stuff in . This is pretty awesome . This s what I’ve been wanting to do . And pretty much everyone said it couldn’t be done . Now as I already knew there is a way to do it , can start . Thank you so very much for sharing .
I've been looking for help me figure out what I need for solar power in my RV. I would like to be able to run my hot water heater and my AC units. Do you have any suggestions?
GREAT job Joshua and Elizabeth. Congratulations on your 1st YT video and not just any video but knocking it clear out of the park. I am already a fan. ~ Norm
I am so excited to find you. When it gets a little warmer here in upstate NY I am starting my solar system in my ambulance. I have a million questions and it’s all new to me. However I want enough power to boondock and run my appliances and technology. I am ow looking into your battery recommendations. Thank you.
I'm excited to follow your journey. Congratulations on your channel. Lol, I hit subscribe before I even watched the video, based on my enjoyment of your appearances on Tom & Cheri's channel.
I am really glad to see you do this. Im all in. Love techy, brainy engenerdy type things. Especially when they address clear needs. Joshua, you have immediately marketable ideas with proof of concept complete. I pray manufacturers approach you because this industry is 40 years behind existing tech. Example: slide covers. They shouldn't exist. For 20 years people have been using slide covers right next to solar panels when they could have just slid the solar panels over the slides and never bought the slide coverage to begin with. There is simply no innovation in the RV industry. They need folks from the outside to literally do it for them. Here's another one lithium batteries are lasting longer than trailers so why aren't the batteries built into the trailers?
Sometimes it looks like they're doing it deliberately... at least to a degree. I bet most people wonder the exact same thing. It's a wide open field for intelligent, affordable innovation.
Hi Joshua I’m not a pro electrician but I do know more than most. I was wondering if this can even be done. We just purchased our 2nd camper a Class A 31ft. A generator has a gas/LP motor. Is it possible to use a 12volt motor with a reistat to start and operates generator? Using the reistat for variable speed! If it’s possible could you run a 30 amp system as if you were hooked to a pole? If there’s a possible patten here I’d like in🤷🏼♂️ Love what you guys are doing👍🏻 Thank you Dan
I bought a 400Ah LiFePO4 battery for my travel trailer from ReBel Batteries and it works great. It is light (75 pounds) and is only one battery--not a bulky battery bank. Both Enduro Power batteries and ReBel Batteries come with US-based sales and support. Enduro batteries are available up to 300Ah and ReBel Batteries are available up to 400Ah.
Great video! Glad to see you now have your own! Looking forward to more! Thanks for the info on the enduros vs battle borns. When my current 6v go bad, i will be swithing over.
Thinking about the possibility of a single Tesla Power Wall 2 mounted in the Class A basement to charge from solar, 50amp connection, and/or generator instead of multiple 300 Ah batteries. Possible? or totally nuts?
Currently, low end build, I have two of the BB 100 amp, ... and victron ... small class b 16' 202" ... Your description about how BB communicates is my same experience. I have a customer who is wanting me to build their RV class b system ... soon and I will check into the options mentioned here. Thanks...
Great video!! I have a small system on my Jayco hybrid camper. 720 watts of solar and 2 206ah sok batteries. Enough to run my basic power needs. Loved your video!! Would you care to share your brisket recipe?
I am glad you asked. I am actually working on a video to show my brisket from store to smoke to breaking it down for our brisket chili soup. I should have that one up in 2 weeks. If you are not already subscribed make sure you do and don't miss that video. You solar setup sounds great and I am glad it works for you and gets you out to some of these beautiful places.

Never had Battle Born not answer and help me. I noticed you never mentioned cycle rate.
Great first video! I subscribed with notices. This will help me very much. Best of luck.
Congrats on the first video, and good luck with the channel! Thanks for sharing your experience.
How do you plan for battery location placement vis-a vis escape in the rare event there is a lithium battery overheat or fire . How do you manage low battery ambient temperature in cold weather?
I've been running 3 years off grid I want for nothing in my power supply. 720AH agm I'm trying to figure out what they need to power with all that.
Bill Taylor, would yo please direct us to how we can look into buying the protonex. I was unable by looking at the web site.
Thanks in advance
I do like the smaller size of the Enduro Power batteries and while they do appear to be built with lithium cells that are UL certified the rest of the electrical components are not. I’m specifically concerned that they do not carry the UL2054 certificate against explosion and fire. Battleborn batteries might be bigger and more expensive but they do carry this certification. Given a choice between an American made fully UL certified battery and a Chinese made and partly UL certified battery, I think I’ll go with the Battleborn.
This is awesome. Thank you and looking forward to more.
What brand and wattage are your solar panels?
Where are they made? I can't seem to find it on the website. Prices seem pretty comparable, BB gives free ground shipping, but the Endurance is a little bit smaller. Then again this video was made a year ago. I am looking to go off grid, so doing a lot of research and this is a big decision. The hardest part is making a game plan on where to stay and travel to and what RV to get, wow there is a lot fo them! New RV's seem to have break in issues, any advice on that? Thanks for the video!
What make and model of panels do you have?
I will check in with Will Prowse. He is my go to pro. Thanks for the info.
Awesome video! Wonderful information! Proud of you friends!
Same here. I usually cant get through on the phone, but they have always responded to my emails.
I’m deciding to buy bb. I’m just now starting to buy and build my 48v system.
Why buy a 48v lifepro with all the techy stuff?
Why isn’t a traditional style top good enuf?
Hey should be responsive at the 2x the price they charge
Same experience here! BB went out of their way to help me integrate a 200ah solution from charge controller to monitor to completion as if I were buying 10x that!
Congratulations on the channel !
nice job! im a rookie and my batteries are dead! i think i need a new converter. but i dont know if i need to upgrade it. and if so, to what. my rig had been down for a few years cuz i just dont know what to do and don't or cant afford to guess and and drain more batteries!
Great intro!!!
I want to know how you made the second set of solar panels move out and in and how they are mounted to the trailer.
Hi
We have been watching your video and we would like to have solar power enough to run our house frig and 1 air conditioner in our Holiday Rambler motor home
Do any advice for us on how to go about doing it
We live in NE
Fred
Glad y'all finally made the jump to making a TH-cam Channel!! This just popped up as a suggestion and when I looked to see why someone was dumping their Battle Born Batteries, I seen it was you two!! Glad Tom was there to help you kick it off!!!
Glad to see you on TH-cam!
Glad to see you take off on youtube. They need more creators like you.
Always good to someone take that step to live there life like they want, I am in the process of building my own 900ah battery for my motorhome
great job. looking forward to see more.
Thank you for the video, but where are all your other videos?
I cant find any info on Bluetooth capability for monitoring. Do they have Bluetooth and an app?
I think they are working on that but we use victron monitoring systems in our build
Almost seems like server rack batteries would be the best option for you.Cheaper, smaller, more power and simple. They are heavy but not sure if they are heavier per w/h.
I have been waiting on you guys to drop a video!.. great video by the way!!
WoW, what a great video! awesome job 👏 👍 🙌
I've got to get in touch with Enduro Power!
So glad you start u tube channel
Thank you. Very interesting info. We are next door to seattle if your ever in the area!
Liked your video what amazing upgrades to your RV.
We are getting out TT next week and juts starting to do the research on this. New subscriber and we love Tom and Charie!
What did you do with the old batteries and were you compensated for this video by your new best choice?
I've been looking at RV's lately now that I've decided to take the plunge and go full-time. My biggest concern was power because I'm not familiar with electrical systems in depth, or solar panels at all, but I've been working with computers and virtual reality simulators for years. Outside of my love for the wilderness, travel and exploring, I am an avid PC gamer and trying to work out power requirements, spacing, temperature, air filtration and humidity; it's all a huge endeavor and I'm quite nervous to begin. I appreciate the information provided in the video and I am very impressed with your entire set up.
How's everything working out for you?
I only have a 2 battery system but every time I called Battle Borne I got someone that helped solve my issues, not to say there are not better companies. Good luck on your channel and I enjoyed your first video. I'll check back!
I'm glad you had a good experience with BB. Thanks for watching our first video.
I love my BB batteries and I have 6 of them!
Great video! It was great meeting you and learning about your solar. Hope to see you on the road!
We too hope that we get a chance under calmer circumstances to get to know you both.
Welcome and subscribed. Learning is what’s this all about for me. Thanks .
Hi, would love it if you guys showed off that RV office that looks like is built into the slide. Thanks in advance.
My wife and I are wondering how you minimize your solar panel system for traveling down the road. And who did you go through to get that setup. Thanks
Check out Tom's video that goes live tomorrow (Sunday Feb 27) and you'll see how!
Protonex 500 watt fuel cell
1100+ watts of solar
Xantrex XC Pro 3000 inverter
4x 300ah LifeBlue lifepo4 (w/ bluetooth)
Easy 12-15 kwh/ day.
Life is good
Right On Iv seen u guys on scrolling threw you tube 👍 dig the videos keep up good job 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for your wisdom on solar power and good positive energy. God Bless.
I hope all is well with you two!! I really enjoyed learning about you lives and home on three axles.
Great job folks!! New subscriber here! Thanks for sharing your story and introducing the Enduro Power lithium's. I'll be purchasing new batteries soon and have found my resource. Keep up the great work
Every time I find something interesting that I "want" on our first RV (tt) I forward to hubby. 🥰 thank you for explaining it so I could understand.
Right now we do not have Solar and have been boondocking in the quartzite general area in our 1999 four winds s
Wind sport 33b that only has 3 105ah agm and a onboard Onan 5000 emerald plus and have been trying to figure out how to add Solar for us and our two teenagers with the extremely limited space we have.
Josh, can you share some detail on your solar motor controllers, rack mechanism and how you secured it to the roof?
Why aren’t you using 48 volt rack batteries like EG4s
great video, thanks for sharing.
I'm hooked. Watched your other vid with Tom (about your insane level of solar power) - and the option of living off-grid for as long as possible is super appealing. I suspect my own inner geek has found a common spirit lol!
Your desire for the best is and achieving that is very impressive.
Are you talking about a separate trailer with panels and batteries? Or the self contained units like a jackery?
@@RootedOffGrid both. Looking at medium sized systems & large.
Would be happy to help. Have you registered at boondockbuddy.com ?
I'm looking forward to viewing more of your video's.
You could just limit your usage?
But I'm right there with you about size. Looked for a while for size vs ah.
Tried discount code but it didn't work I assume it's expired thanks for sharing all your knowledge
Congratulations on launching your new channel. We’re looking forward to learning from it. 👍🏼😎
Hi Joshua
I’m not a pro electrician but I do know more than most.
If there’s a possible patten here I’d like in🤷🏼♂️
Love what you guys are doing👍🏻
Thank you
Dan
Hi Dan. Unfortunately this question falls way above my pay grade.
lol, He's describing a perpetual motion machine.
Your description about how BB communicates
is my same experience.
