Lovely video, Lou. I have an extensive collection of Desert Rose dishes. I have my grandmothers, my Mother-in-laws and mine that I purchased. My grandmothers and MIL's are vintage and earthenware composition made in the USA. Mine were purchased in the 90's and are stoneware manufactured in England. When you set the dinner plates of the two different places and compositions you can tell the difference (you can tell by the marks on the bottoms or course) as the painting details are nice and more detailed on the USA pieces. But the earthenware is brittle and chips easily. I am selling a good portion of this as I do not use these dishes, but will be keeping the stoneware and a few of the earthenware pieces.

I LOVE traveling with you! The downside is that I'll never get to any of those places...bummer!---My paternal Grandfather had a cream separator in the barn when I was growing up in the 50's.---I don't think I realized that fork thingy was for angel food cake slicing. I'd seen them many times, but never quite understood the use!---Did you folks buy anything at either shop?

We did buy some small items. I never knew that cake slicer either. Thanks so much for watching.
