Inside an Antique Dealer's Vintage Estate Sale Hoard Before It Sells!

- How will we ever get this house ready for an estate sale this weekend?! That's the key question in this video, where we show you an old Spokane, Washington antique dealer's home that's full of whimsey and surprise...and a ton of antique and vintage deals!
We're literally uncovering things not seen in years in this house! A 1930s stove hides under a sheet, and what lurks within it? An old trunk offers old clothes...and a nice 1970s afghan. From a fun 1940s buckboard to a 1950s Marx Construction Camp, this house is filled with fun...along with a million little items in categories that are eye-poppingly vast! Cafe ware, post cards, bronze medallions and pins galore, a room full of books, a room full of childhood characters and original Star Wars items make this a place to marvel.
How are we pricing? Any way we can! (No, seriously, there's so much we know we can't price it all.) We're focusing on a safe and easier to shop setup as the house explodes out into the yard, an outbuilding and all over to make sure everyone gets a good look at all the vintage things that are here.
We are excited to get this sale going, and so glad to share the preview with you! If you're in the Spokane area, please stop by and enjoy this fun and unique estate sale...which we are so happy to enjoy with our online viewers too!

I can’t believe you don’t have a bigger following, you are like an encyclopedia of vintage & antiques.
I think what it is , is that viewers forget to subscribe.
It happens often on TH-cam channels unfortunately.
I so agree.
George is fantastic at what he does.
A sweetie too!
How does a person find out about these estate sales? I’m in the area and am so sad I missed it. Also, what happens to the stuff that doesn’t sell? Thanks, love your channel
He has 57 thousand followers . That's not a bad following I think.
Share his channel with a few friends !!
I am totally overwhelmed just watching... anxiety level is rising 😳
Wow George. This is quite scary. Don't ever get to this stage where it's unmanageable. We have sorted a couple of houses for relatives and it can be quite daunting. 💖
Wow! This sale is overwhelming. I cannot imagine the amount of work you will put into this sale. Cannot wait to see the outcome. ❤ JoAnn
How fantastic is that to have helpers installimg safety hand rails.
Shout out to them. 👍💞😊
They were so amazing and I was very thankful!
Wow! That’s a lot of work guys.
That stove is stunning! It's pristine!
That house is overwhelming! There were so many items and pieces! Getting that estate sale ready was an extreme amount of work!
I know you said the woman was an antique dealer but it looks like she was a bit of a hoarder too! How did she get around! 🤯
I wish I could go to this sale. I would even love to help you get ready. I live for these kinds of sales.
They could probably use you too.
That's a whole lot of items.
Wish I were there in my old hometown too.
So fantastic! I wish you could've been there
The scale of that collection made me feel nauseous. I can't imagine the sadness that makes a person spend their life assembling such an unmanageable hoard.
We atarted an estste sale for a family.member a few years ago , first couple of days went well then tempers started to flare . Expenses grew as dumpster delivered and storage buildings were rented . Relationships desentigrated as oldsrers rung their hands in disbelief that their retirement collections were worthless due to low qualilty items they felt would be expensive antiques someday . Even items that might be worth salvage had damage and bad storage issues . In the end , 1/2 went to thrift stores , 1/4 paid for the whole messy process and 1/4 was trashed .( add personal $ for landfill fees ) . Maybe elder apartments with limited storage and a family member with an eye on the checking account would help these type of family breakdowns ....long winded , but lived thru the fiasco .
That is the estate sale from heaven. I would drive Cross country to Go to That Estate Sale If I Could..WOW
More power to ya, George. This is a huge undertaking, glad you have some help! Thank you for taking some time to show us. Good luck!
Aww man. Lucky you George. I want to be able to pick thru😮❤
Hi George Fans , let's all Share the video with a friend. A good way to thank George !
My grandma ran the men's department at the crescent inn Spokane until she passed. Her name was Lois boutwell
You guys really earn your money. That’s a lot of work. So much to go through and organize. Good luck with the sale!
Holy cow! What overwhelming fun!
I'm so glad I no longer run estate sales. Exhausting, good luck.
Whoa! Eyes and brain OVERLOAD! But what fun discoveries! Would love to come to that sale. Almost need a football field to set that up….😉
I would love to see an after video to see how much is left!
I hope you have a very successful sale George! I’m sure you will because of all the wonderful treasures in that house. I loved seeing all the old games, toys, books and ephemera.
Thanks so much, it was fun and very good!
Hi George, what a house! I would have anxiety if I was tasked with getting that place ready for a sale. What a lot of work! Good luck with the sale.
OMG - my heart is racing! Wish I was in Spokane. So many great things.
George you are an accomplished person you don’t need the crazy thumbnails. Your George, uncle George, Professor, George the Nomad. We all know you. Be You!
Sorry for the loss of your friend George
WOW! You do have your work cut out for you! It looks like the lady spent her life buying and not selling much!
wow that was a mega death pile of epic proportions. wish I was there!!
WOW! This was a lot to go through! My sister & I had to clean my Aunt & Uncle’s house out & have an estate sale & that was a chore!! You are a pro!!!
You name it, it's in there. What a big job, take it as slow as you can ❤️
I just sent my sister and niece this video as they live in Spokane and I live 749 miles away. I hope they go.
Wow!!! This lady was a heck of an antique collector!!!
George I surely don’t know how you get so much into a day you must move like Superman take care love your stuff 😊
Good evening, George! I have a signed photo of the Cisco Kid. Duncan Renaldo actually came to the hospital when I was born, and gave the photo to mom for me. That 1930s range was in fantastic condition. That was a nice one! Geez! That was a lot of stuff to go through and price! I liked the Mae West glass. I really liked that showcase. Holy Blessed Mother, at the books! I'd be lost in that space for quite some time. Was that a ceramic Bugs Bunny bank, on that top shelf? I would've been all over that cartoon roadrunner figure. George, I would have gotten a bad case of the "vapours", if I had to handle all of that! Kudos to you!!! Thanks for the tour!!! Lots of really interesting things there, for sure.
Duncan Renaldo was at the hospital where you were born? What a great story! Your first collectible, and you weren't even a day old. The Bugs Bunny was just a planter, but a good one. The vapours have set in and I only now am recovering!
@@TheAntiqueNomadYep, mom said he was there on some sort of tour, I think, and he came to the hospital to check out the newborns. I think he gave a signed photo to all of the new mothers.
@@CONSTELLATION_PEGASUS wow that’s a fun story!
OMG the postcards and photos!!!!
OH how I wish I was in the area, I could spend days looking through all this interesting stuff! Thanks for sharing. Hope the sale is/was a great success.
Hey George! I am just overwhelmed by watching 🤗 Such a hoard of various items to sort thru a lot of time involved. I do not envy you guys. Aww, the wood dog would have been good for Jocelyn’s dog sale 😃 Seems you really need a couple of weekend sales. Good Luck on the Sale!
This house is a dream! Unfortunately I am in NY lol
Wow George your friend had some super interesting stuff! What a time capsule of wonderfulness.
Yes it was!
You are so articulate! This is my first video of yours to watch and I was so impressed. Great video, thanks for sharing with us.
Love the way you are calm and collected about this mammoth task - what a mountain to climb Id love to come to the sale but the 3,000 + miles makes it not possible!
As an aside I rather like the carpets !
I like the carpets too! I have no choice to be calm and collected, no point in panicking...though it was close. I wish you were closer!
Wow George I wish I was close…absolutely overwhelming 😮, such beautiful things
Hahaha, and more boxes!
Goodness George! What a fun sale! I Love estate sales like that. Lots of great stuff to dig through ! Wish I lived closer. Florida is very far. Have fun!
The postcards!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍 I’m a postcard dealer in Arkansas. Wish I could get to the sale and make you an offer for the whole collection. 😢
I help set estate sales and it can be very overwhelming but thrilling at the same time. My best find was a bag of super old marbles and some speakers from the 70's (I can't remember the brand) that the customer said didn't work. Yes, they worked and sold for $1000.
You're just too awesome George! What a job you have on your hands!! 💖
Wow oh wow,,,incredible,,,I agree on the cork frame combo with arts and crafts now. LOL, I had business breakfast meetings at the old last Whistling Pig in Lake Oswego before that area became a new outdoor mall thing which the Californians are doing here in snow country which is so DUMB to me..cutting up our early walking small mall..George this is fantastic as are you.
Masonic cups & pin backs, YES PLEASE!!
George I dare say your overwhelmed!!
There is truly quite a bit of stuff there. I would love to come but I live about 3 states away. Happy digging and safe travels. Sell, sell, sell is the word for the weekend. lol Have a great day
Oh my, I am having an anxiety attack watching this!!! So much. I wanna go to your sale!
You’re all doing such great work getting it ready. Wish I were closer so could come!
Amazing collections. What a life!
Wow,thought I had lots of collectibles, nothing compared to this. I am in Midwest would love toshop😮
MY GOODNESS , AND I THOUGHT I HAD A LOT OF STUFF,,, HOLY COW !!!!!
This estate sale is amazing with so many treasures. I wish I was able to attend but I am sorry for the loss of your friend 😢.
Tons of good stuff! Unbelievable job before you!!
Wow that would be an awesome sale to attend. Good luck with it, from Missouri.
Wondering if you have to keep watch for stealing, especially with that many things? Hoping you have a team helping!
What fun!
So envious George. Wish I could be there!
Fun video George! Thanks for sharing!
There are a lot of different items in that house. What a work to shift everything out.
Im wondering, if you find something that you really like. Could you buy it? ❣️
I like the fat squirrel near Charlie!
Wow, wow and wow!
Amazing! Your friend had great taste! Thank you for sharing!
the plate that has the letters IOOF is The Illustrious Order of Odd Fellows- an old mason style organization-
Funny to find someone else commented about this before me, out of all that stuff.
We’re in California so we won’t be going to your estate sale but it sure is fun to see whatever antique collectors collect ❤😊this was a great fun 🤩 thanks 🙏 the video
I live in Illinois and would drive cross country for that sale. Wow lots a great items..
O MY WORD!!!! Wouldn't I love to be there? You betcha. It is daunting for sure, and I see so much I would love to handle. Alas, I'm in Florida. Good luck George. 💚
WOW!!!
Wow, just wow! I love the oven! My father had went almost identical to it, in his cabin on the Washougal river. It was original to the cabin, & it was in great working order. There was so much stuff in that house. I have mad respect for you & your team. It would be so overwhelming to me, I wouldn’t even know where to start. I love Spokane! My mom was born there & her family had a large homestead there with the most amazing farmhouse I have ever seen! I remember spending 3 weeks there in 1974 (I was 10), when the International World Fair was in Spokane. Great memories, thank you for sharing! 🫶✨
Me too,,am in the Pacific Northwest,, close to Mt baker,,one day you'll have a sale up here💗🎉
OMG, I love that place. I noticed at the end that the house itself looks to be Frank Lloyd Wright style. Your friend must have been very interesting and had a good eye. I would snag up so much of that stuff, but alas, I'm in New Port Richey FL. Not much interesting here, you know. Please let us know if you bring any of the overflow to FL for flea markets or shows down here. Good luck with that sale!
I wish I was closer! Like west coast!wow - what a sale!
I made it back on renewal !!
Yayy!!
Wow George how on earth do you remember all the manufacturers names and dates of all the pieces you are an amazing fountain of knowledge
At 10:47 Pebbles looks like she is from pet cemetery actually lol. Love that enameled stove one of those would be great to have in working condition too.
I don't know how you're going to get all that moved and sold out of there just in 3 days , I hope you do though that is an amazing feat , unbelievable🙏🙏
Holy Hoarder. Wish I could go.
George, I hope you bought that sign 😂
Oh my gosh...what great stuff. So glad I found you...thanks to Crazy Lamp Lady.
Wow! What a goldmine!!
That looks overwhelming to me, but you’ve pulled it off before, so I’m sure you will again. Too bad you’re not closer so that I could attend, but then I really don’t need any more “stuff” in my house!
Holy Cow!!!!! So much stuff!
Im glad the work is left up to you and your team. Always good to see your videos. Thanks, George!
I love listening to you while I list or pack or tag. You are such a wealth of knowledge and I find that even just listening I learn things because you do an amazing job of describing and presenting the history of items. Do you have a booth in KY? My family will be in the Owensboro area for the holidays and I’d love to stop by!
Gee gads! Talk about a shopping addiction
.guess we all deal w life in our way. But omg!
loving all the paper!
Me too
BEEN TO JUST ABOUT EVERY THIFT, ANTIQUE STORE IN THAT AREA
So much stuff! Your helpers seem invaluable with all they’ve seemingly done before you arrived. Hope you have a great turnout! You may have to extend your sale dates. 🤷🏼♀️
WOW would I love to be there! So many fun and interesting things to go through. Really enjoy your videos.
I would love a bag of pins if you have any left over to buy.
Thank you for the early video🎶
George, at 23:51 those bellkins (sp?) Wierd bald guys in back. Misty TJVH, collects them.
What fun George! Thanks for the tour!
Wow! I guess it could pay to focus or specialize if you aren't going to sell as much. But of course i would come spend the 3 days just looking. If i was in better health I'd volunteer to help sort for the education! 😅
I imagine it would be good to specialize in that way, but I can’t do it!
Looks like heaven to me, my goodness…how fun! 💜
This is so amazing! I’m in Alaska, but I’ve been to Spokane several time, would love to go there again to go to this sale. You are so incredible!! Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and experience. You are one fine dude!
Good luck George and crew. Remember to keep a smile on your faces!!!😂 Would love to be there to help you out. Hope to see you soon.
Love it!!! Wish you could send me some boxes of postcards!!
