Kevin Kenson have you by any chance tried out the AmazonBasics Xbox One controller. It has slightly better reviews then some of these and it's only 25 dollars.
*I bought 3 different Power A Fusion controllers and had to return all of them within a month* because the springs behind the face buttons wore out. All of them followed the same pattern of first the A button goes out, then the X button goes out, then the B button goes out so it wasn't just a manufacturing error but instead Power A clearly cheaped out on the face buttons' spring system. I would not suggest the Power A Fusion controller to anyone unless you want to have to trade in your controller for a new one every month.
hey man i had kinda the same problem because my powera fusion the RT and LT buttons stopped springing back upon further inspection the RT and LT buttons springs had snapped this happned twice
My favorite is the PowerA Xbox One Mini controller. I have had cheap controllers last as long, or longer, as expensive controllers in my 38 years of gaming.
I've watched a few videos now, and gotta say, this is a great channel. Straight to the point, only explaining the necessary, avoiding the obvious. Absolutely top notch content. I'm throwing all the other tech channels in my feed cause this is really, really good stuff you produce. Keep it up!
My favorite version of the PDP controller is the Rock Candy series. Very aesthetically pleasing. You can currently buy them in the following colors from GameStop: Cranblast, Aqualime, and Blumerang.
I bought an official Xbox One controller to use while playing certain PC titles and I have to say... It felt extremely cheap and didn't hold up long at all. The triggers creaked out of the box, the XYAB buttons didn't have a tactile feel to them, the left stick stopped clicking, and then the right bumper stopped working altogether. I should note, that all occurred within just 4 months of use. I'll be damned if I'm ever buying an over-priced official Xbox One controller again.
i've run into some issues with that one, the sticks are a tad off center, the buttons feel cheep and slightly mushy with the dpad being an absolute mushy mess, and the back plating is super uncomfortable
seriously considering buying a pdp controller, had 4 series controllers which got sent back. both had unresponsive Y buttons and double input A buttons, the other two different resistance on the thumbsticks which made aiming impossible. what in the hell is with the quality control on these things?
"Reminds you of when you went Timmy's and you got the spare mad cats controller" 😂😂😄😄. This statement resonated with me in a major way, the nostalgia was too real. Why did everybody have a crappy mad cats controller back in the day? You would never use it yourself, but it always came out when you're mates popped round.
Hey! I know you made this comment 2 years ago, but please can you answer me a question. How quick did it break? I want to know because, all of the review s say it broke within 1 month.
Hey Kevin, got the PDP controller, but next to the Dual shock 4 controller the buttons feel a little tighter to push. I like everything else about it, you can also configure vibration to your liking using the app
As a person with big hands, I like the XB1 controller. I recently used the Xbox 360 to play a game and was shocked how much smaller that controller is with the XB1 controller.
The PDP controller i bought and my headset jack was breaking within 2 hr of me using it. I prmise i was being as gentle possible. Plus i bought 2 more controllers after i thought the others were broke and the other controllers were the same way with the headset jack. So i dont think its the best on the list, unless i did something wrong
Well you can play Assassins Creed Black Flag with it on Christmas next year, until then you got lets see Assassin's Creed Origins. YES!! You win!! I knew there was a Silver lining. Mint Chocolate Chip on that cookie plzz....
I remember those aftermarket controllers for in 64 and GameCube they came with a turbo button and I thought I would be slick and press it while playing Mario Kart and it stopped all other controls from working lol my Kart was stagnant, and it cost me the game.
I have to look into 3rd part budget because microsoft screwed up horribly with the series x controller the RB keeps breaking when I play PSO2 its driving me insane I never had that problem with xbox one and 360 controller so I know its not a me problem.
We got a PDP not too long ago. The left stick abruptly started malfunctioning: it didn't register when it was being pushed to the right. We took the front casing off of it, which seemed to fix the problem at first, but then the stick just kept getting stuck in whatever direction it was pushed. Not long after that, the right stick broke off completely. Also: the built-in sound function never worked right. It would always re-balance itself regardless of what we set it, and that's IF we could get it to adjust at all.
Bought a cheap PDP Afterglow Prismatic when I built my pc back in 2015. After 5 years, the B button has finally started giving up as the rubber dome has punctured. Quite honestly it's been perfectly fine otherwise. I feel a lot of stigma revolves around these controllers despite the fact that for certain use cases they work great. If I used a controller as my primary input device, yeh I'd splash out on something a bit nicer, but as a secondary controller it's a great buy.
I’ve had the power A controller for about 3 months and I can tell you from experience that.. it Is SOOO worth it, it was hard for me to switch at first but once I got used to it I was set and although I can’t really switch back to the regular Xbox controller because it feels weird
Avoid Power A controllers, eventually buttons will get stuck. I tried the rubbing alcohol with a q-tip method but yealded no results. I bought the hyperkin x91 and really love the feel and durability of the controller plus buttons, I hear people say it's good for retro style games but I also use the controller for shooters too (I have small hands) but if you want to use it for fighters I don't recommend it as diagonal inputs are tough to execute (e.g. fireball and shoryuken motions). Can't comment on PDP products.
That hyperkin controller (hope im saying it right) looks really nice, it kinda makes me wanna cross over to xbox. It reminds me of the mini hori pad i use for playstation...but looks better.
I bought a fricken 60$ controller from Xbox. Over a year later, it drifts to the left to the point where some games are unplayable. Kind of crap that I would expect from madcats.
The better one is PowerA Xbox One Mini Controller and it deserved a mention on this list. Sticks are great, buttons.... Average, decent triggers but, it has THE BEST D PAD EVER.
I have the original power a controller, I did have the fusion but it broke really quick, so I went for the normal powera and it's very good I don't have a problem with it. :)
I have been using one for 4 months. Th A button is starting to stick and I noticed yesterday that my right thumb stick is drifting slightly to the right, not a problem depending on the dead-zone settings in a game. I ordered a Razer Wildcat last week to replace it but after 5 days it developed stick drift as well so until my replacement arrives its back to the Power A. Honestly its not terrible considering it only cost me 23 dollars and the buttons on the back are nice for mobile shooters like titanfall. Its biggest sin is looking and feeling very cheap but its a great choice on a budget in my opinion.
I got the pdp for 30 bucks and i dont noticed much of difference comparing to the xbox original, feels the same if you arent that used to the original, also preffer that is wired because i use it for pc.
Once I got a Pdp controller and after about 4 months of use the sticks got so drifted that it seems like there is no spot where it’s supposed to be, and now the A button is falling into its hole.
I've only had my PDP XB1 controller for about 3 or 4 months and the A button is sticking like crazy. Gonna try either genuine microsoft XB1 controller or genuine DS4 controller next.
I bought PDP and regret it :< Buttons are so loud and back panel with two buttons annoys me becuase it's easy to press it not even directly in buttons. Gladly I can remove it but then it's not comfortable to hold pad.
reason why I'm considering cheaper is because had 3 Xbox one s controllers break so either by cheap or warranty if have though only 2 years or so my ps3 controllers 10 years old still work perfectly Xbox one s last 3 months
I have the pdp took me forever to figure out how to raise the volume as it was given to me by my brother when he was done using it but the problem I see with it is the charger port it stops receiving power tried different wires and even bought a 10th cable worked for 2 days then stopped it's the controller it's self that goes bad after a while
Anyone else have a problem with the old skool wired reclaimer XO controller where the button inputs get locked from your last input and then the controller doesn’t respond not even turning on or off?
My favorite on this list also comes in Camo! amzn.to/2D0wqnn

Kevin Kenson
I have a power A controller 😄
Kevin Kenson its good for computer??
Kevin Kenson have you by any chance tried out the AmazonBasics Xbox One controller. It has slightly better reviews then some of these and it's only 25 dollars.
Kevin Kenson can u help me get the hyperkin x91
You are the most underrated tech TH-camr, you deserve way more subs man keep up the good work

Balofoal 55 haha everything I was going to say you said
Yeah really informative and accurate video again.

Unfortunate, I have power a elite version and the cheaper one. Had both for 2 years now with no problems. U got unlucky.
YEP really you have them for 2 years?
xone TinyDoggon I had mine for a year and the LB button was coming off
PotatoWiz mine broke just now the trigger sank in the controller plus the quality of it is trash.
hey man i had kinda the same problem because my powera fusion the RT and LT buttons stopped springing back upon further inspection the RT and LT buttons springs had snapped this happned twice
All I can think of is how good your lighting is 😇
Pixel Game Squad RIGHT?
I love my PDP controller, been using it almost for one year and there haven't been any issues at all
Don't get Power A controllers, i have had 2 of them break in under a year.
gage Kenney same
My B button always broke
Yep
MY RB FELL OFF
Yep
My favorite is the PowerA Xbox One Mini controller. I have had cheap controllers last as long, or longer, as expensive controllers in my 38 years of gaming.
Xbox has more controllers than exclusives
Lol
Lol
Owned
Tavo It isnt the count its the quality
LMAO
I love the PowerA controllers. I've used them for multiple consoles and was never disappointed. I agree with the D-Pad complaint, though.
I've watched a few videos now, and gotta say, this is a great channel. Straight to the point, only explaining the necessary, avoiding the obvious. Absolutely top notch content. I'm throwing all the other tech channels in my feed cause this is really, really good stuff you produce. Keep it up!

Cheap? R u sure? I can barely afford a snickers bar
Cheap is only defined by the spender not the seller. God I hate that reality!
Same
Laser Upper Class I can well anything tbh I don’t save money or earn money
Me too
@@sahmed7793 its a joke

Actually it’s called bots. :)

Amirite
Ya know, i dont even own an xbox one, i just enjoy your content. Keep up the good work
Man your content is far above many other(bigger) tech channels. You deserve way more subs
I think this is the first video I've seen from your channel that actually benefits me bc it's for a console I actually have lol
Great video... Finally a video for people like us!!!!
Have you seen or heard about the Xbox one wired controller by AmazonBasics? $25
i've run into some issues with that one, the sticks are a tad off center, the buttons feel cheep and slightly mushy with the dpad being an absolute mushy mess, and the back plating is super uncomfortable
The last one I have in a dark green. It's pretty good for a cheaper priced wired controller.
I bought a after glow that lights up still going strong after a year best 30 dollars ive spent
Does it still work?
@@sofakingdone6941 doubt it. Had mines for around 2 years and just recently the analog stick causing lots of drifting and stopping when playing.
@@somethingaboutguns Okay thanks

I have a hyperkin Duke controller and a SNES style one too, they have amazing controllers 🎮
I LOVE the Hyperkin X91
Hey! I know you made this comment 2 years ago, but please can you answer me a question. How quick did it break? I want to know because, all of the review s say it broke within 1 month.
@@harrisseddon9536 That depends on which retailer you buy from or how you use it, mine is good since 2018.
0:10 on the master chief helmet was a nice touch. Also loving these videos.
I use a pdp too and its AWESOME. Never regretted buying it.
Cool! Still in use?
Hey Kevin, got the PDP controller, but next to the Dual shock 4 controller the buttons feel a little tighter to push. I like everything else about it, you can also configure vibration to your liking using the app
My personal favorite is the afterglow wired controller which is only 30 dollars and features customizable lights
The after glow controllers are good options as well
I freaking loved my after glow controller
My controller just unplugged while I was in a fight on Fortnite so I went straight to amazon to order a wireless, now I'm here
As a person with big hands, I like the XB1 controller. I recently used the Xbox 360 to play a game and was shocked how much smaller that controller is with the XB1 controller.

You’re not wrong pdp controllers have some problems
Another nice thing about the PDP wired XBOX ONE controller is you can put a XBOX ONE Reflex Avenger adaptor over it.
Never had a problem with my Power A controllers. It will be the only controller company I buy for my PC.
This channel is so underrated
I have 2 official controllers, but wanted to get some so my cousins could play with me, so this is great! Perfect timing xD.
If only you made this video on Black Friday or Christmas
Well you can play Assassins Creed Black Flag with it on Christmas next year, until then you got lets see Assassin's Creed Origins. YES!! You win!! I knew there was a Silver lining. Mint Chocolate Chip on that cookie plzz....
Kevin Moore what ? 😂
That first Controller looks Dope.

I have a wired aPlay controller worth $25 on Xbox One, and it works amazingly, and it has an 8ft long cable!
Out of all of them, I had gotten a PDP controller due to my xbox controller LB bumper broke some how
Derpist ._. my trigger on my controller broke lol
pdp is asscheeks I bought it for like 5 months and it recently broke and I can’t play it again, fuck u xbox
Derpist - Got an update?
I’ve had the power A controller for about 3 months and I can tell you from experience that.. it Is SOOO worth it, it was hard for me to switch at first but once I got used to it I was set and although I can’t really switch back to the regular Xbox controller because it feels weird
DO any of them work on w10 pc? and pdp the wireless one what kinda dongle would we need on pc? bluetooth or official xbox receiver?
Kevin deserve 2m+ subs
only one you can unplug LOOL that's a negative in IMO, more connection mean more possibility to go wrong. Good video never the less

The better one is PowerA Xbox One Mini Controller and it deserved a mention on this list. Sticks are great, buttons.... Average, decent triggers but, it has THE BEST D PAD EVER.
What about the Amazonbasics Xbox1 wired controller? How does that one compare?
My RT button gave out within 4-5 weeks
Tbh the actual Xbox one controller break quicker than any budget controller
I’ve had my normal Xbox controller for 3 years but it broke so I bought a Pdp controller and it broke after a month
Bought mine a year ago and it’s dead now lmao
The Xbox elite controller is the best controller for sure
I actually have the first one. I use it regularly because it's wired and I have to say I like it
You have a really nice camera!
I have the original power a controller, I did have the fusion but it broke really quick, so I went for the normal powera and it's very good I don't have a problem with it. :)
Is Ps4 or Xbox controller better for madden?
Notification Squad!
*im special... right?*

Yes you are😎😎😎😘🤗
Can you also do one on Cheap PS4 controllers?
I have the fusion. It's great but I cant press the right shoulder button with the right trigger pressed. It's fine on the left
Power A has always had trouble with Dpads for some reason. The same thing happened with the wired switch controller
Another awesome video Kevin btw that shirt is awesome if you read my comment please tell me where I can get it I love fallout
PDP is a solid controller. I prefer it over my Wireless xbox controller
Thank you for this video it helped me a lot
Power a pro 2.0 is the best low budget controller out there
Check out the converter adapter to use an Xbox controller on the PS4 and Switch
3rd party Xbox 360 controllers are the best. They're cheap and basically looks like the original
Power A - Ewwwww.
Hyperkin - Hmmmm not bad. I like the style
PDP - Perfection

finally something we can afford! plz do more vids on affordable stuff. also could some one tell me how i could build a pc for under 130? btw nice vid
Under 130? Lol you can barely get a good laptop for that xD

I have the bf1 controller that's exactly like the last controller so that isn't the only that does that
Different brand too
Be careful with powerA I recently bought one and the audio jack is barely working
Do one on ps4 pls
Rohan Akurathi he did
He can do a updated one xD
All of them are bad so who cares
i swear that hoodie is super glued to his head
The Afterglow controller does the same as the last one and you can customize the neon colors on it.

Which one do you recommend?
1.PowerA Xbox one controller
2.amazonbasics controller
Man, Power A loves their wired controllers
I want to buy the fusion one because it looks like a Xbox 360 controller but it’s out of stock
Legend says if u show up early the kevin kenson will heart you
What kind of legend are you listening to?
Good vid 😄
You should talk more about durability of I gotta but 3 or 4 20$ controllers a year I might as well buy the Microsoft one but they break to...
Necessarily well, Necessary!
The fusion controller (the one with gold triggers dpad, and back buttons) actually unplugs so I dont understand why you (he) didn't mention that
