Interesting, we can get cab easily through the Uber, but getting an auto is a bit difficult. Many times, I had to choose the cab due to the unavailability of autos on apps. Prepaid counters solve that problem and wish to have more in all the areas of the city.
I suggest prepaid auto station should be all over Bengaluru City. They can increase Rs.10 more, so that auto drivers will be benefited. Auto drivers meter should be updated time to time. My suggestion is to give them a meter with sim & GPRS in it, so that whenever fuel rate is increased or decreased the minimum fare and per/km fare should be updated automatically without any third person involvement, so that all auto drivers will turn on meter and customer will automatically support. When there is a smart car & bike why not smart auto with all features. Good work by DH.
For Autorickshaw, filling of LPG/CNG gas of 1kg cost is around ₹ 80/90 and its mileage is around 40-50kms. Auto driver are not getting any loss but their intention is for short distance minimum amount is ₹100. Thats why corporate will rule. Just think only they refill of ₹80 & will earn around ₹2000 to ₹3000. And auto driver they say it is loss.

1. I totally agree with Srinivas. keep updated fare charges. and HELP us ride autos conveniently without having to do 10-15 min of bargaining each and every time to bring down the fare from some thing like 350 that the autowala will say to the actual/fare Rs 200.. 2. Most of these people will go only to specific locations (return to their location or many other reasons..).. I suggest they keep a LED display to mention where they are interested to go.. :) then we do not have to ask a dozen guys.. By d way Pre-paid autos will be may be just 5% of the whole picture..

Mysuru Road Satellite Bus Stand badly needs some form of connectivity. It's in the middle of nowhere. Maybe only marginally better than SMVT/SMVB railway station. That's definitely the worst.
The last mile connectivity is challenge as Bengaluru metro should introduce electric ac 9 meter bus for passenger connectivity as we seen on delhi metro. Secondly, metro construction should speed up already delay over 5 year to get relieve from menace of auto mafia. Thirdly, sharing Auto or e-rickshaw should introduce for cheap fast seamless connectivity.
I didn't know that they existed still. Good initiative. But there are some problems with prepaid auto. If people are more you have to wait in a line for some time to get the ticket and sometimes they also ask for more money than what has been paid.
If auto drivers settle for reasonable fare , more people would use it and they make better money. But they chose to fleece thereby reducing the number of trips.
I once witnessed a fight between an auto driver and a person who took the auto from koramangala to Spice garden marathahalli at 12am in the night. The reason for the fight was the amount charged for 12kms of travel- INR 5,000. Yes, Five Thousand Indian Rupees only/- . By the way this kind of money could get you an air ticket to almost anywhere in India. Finally at 2:30am police came and the matter was settled for INR 3,000 and the fight concluded at 5 am. Though my friends and I caught this ridiculous drama from my balcony, it would have been a nightmare had I been the customer to that Auto. So after watching this video would sincerely like to ask the gentleman, representing the public transport and talked about inflation not being adjusted on meter- Sir, are the fairs adjusted for 100 years risk premium over nominal risk free rate of US treasury bonds or do these autos consume high octane aviation fuel?? P.S. - I have other anecdotes around same premise, predicament involving me and my Colleagues- where we paid 800-1000 for 5kms of travel but hey! still not Rs 5,000! I guess we got lucky 😜

*This makes me respect Maharashtrian auto drivers so much more. They won't say naanu hogalla/return trip sigalla, or say one and half kodi/traffic ide, won't charge ₹100 for 1Km and won't charge differently if you are a north Indian. They will simply say aao baitho bhau and start the meter. They don't deny rides, accept rides even during heavy rains and even return 1 rupee change. May Bhagwan ji bless them.* *See I understand the perspective of South Indians on Hindi imposition, excessive migration, entitlement/non assimilation/disrespect shown by many North Indians towards their culture and language.* *But many of these Kannadiga autowaalas are outright xenophobic and racist and directly tell you to get out of the state and say how people like me are destroying Karnataka, this is after the fact that I lived in Karnataka for 3 years and had a very good understanding of Karnataka and Kannada. Lets not even get started about the local police. Won't see this attitude in Mumbai.*
Mam Next time u go with out a big camera With the knowledge of camera and mic Then check the reality They refuse short distance They refuse rajajinagar side 4,3,2,6, blocks And demand more then meter 10in1 r good r 20in1
Cheating by auto drivers is common every where in our country except in Kolkata where the sharing auto rates are fixed. In Hyderabad also there is a problem with auto drivers. Most of the time they do not put meters on or meters are tampered or meters are kept in non- working condition take you long routes. Even speedometers do not work.
You ask the auto rickshaw driver on going to M.G. Road Metro station and he responds, "Auto beka?", sitting inside the auto rickshaw. It reminds me of the times when I meet friends or relatives unexpectedly at a restaurant and the first question I ask them is, 'Have you come here to have food?'. Why else would they have come to the restaurant for :)
Even for prepaid, autos will haggle for price, Once you get down they will say.. this is stage 2, prepaid receipt fare is only upto stage 1 , so pay another rs 50 and so on...
Look they are good people and riding in auto is good experience but image of auto drivers in Bangalore has become very bad over the years because of hooliganism, rash driving, road rage, physically assaulting other people etc. I personally don't mind paying 20-30 rupees extra, many others won't but I just don't want to support wrong crowds at all. Until they are able to change their image and behaviour on roads and customer experience, people are not going to choose it as first option. Now if you ask 200 Rs for 2 kms, that is also very wrong and if you refuse one auto guy for this charge all others will refuse to go from that spot. I wish for overhaul of auto drivers community (not gangs) in a positive manner because I have had interaction with many genuine drivers and they are getting wrongly portrayed because of some bad apples.
Auto rickshaw drivers are notorious not only in Bangalore but in Delhi, too. Perhaps this is the case with all most all the metro cities . Gov must come up with some viable ideas for the replacement of this transport option .
I don’t know why this serious issue politician and local administration are not able to solve. Please make this a movement of twitter and raise the voice of common people
Rapido is working quite well for me in Bangalore as I can add a tip upfront when rickshaws are not available. I will pay more but there is no haggling.
Point to point connectivity is not there by FLYOVER or METRO which r mega projects of corruption. This has given a golden opportunity to auto drivers to fleece the commuters. With rising fuel prices and costs .. and apathy of RTO and RTC ... expect worse... In Hyderabad the meter is a museum item 😁😆😆😄😜
I recently took metro from Majestic to Indiranagar to reach Koramangala. It was 6pm on a Friday, and Autos were asking me 200 Rs to go to Sony World koramangala from Indiranagar Metro. WTF???. I had to take a BMTC Bus then.
NONE of the Auto driver s uses meters, it is better transport dept asks them to remove, And Govt should allow more no.of autos to operate, Govt should allow shared taxi and auto services , which will help in last mile connectivity from metros , and also decongest thee traffic, Which also helps common man for commuting.

May Bhagwan ji bless them.*
*See I understand the perspective of South Indians on Hindi imposition, excessive migration, entitlement/non assimilation/disrespect shown by many North Indians towards their culture and language.*
*But many of these Kannadiga autowaalas are outright xenophobic and racist and directly tell you to get out of the state and say how people like me are destroying Karnataka, this is after the fact that I lived in Karnataka for 3 years and had a very good understanding of Karnataka and Kannada. Lets not even get started about the local police. Won't see this attitude in Mumbai.*
I never knew there was one such called pre paid auto counter till date
I am a regular visitor to Karnataka. But I have hardly found that not a single auto driver willing to go on meter. This is my experience.
addressing every autodriver - "sir".
Mam
Next time u go with out a big camera
With the knowledge of camera and mic
Then check the reality
They refuse short distance
They refuse rajajinagar side
4,3,2,6, blocks
And demand more then meter
10in1 r good r 20in1
Cheating by auto drivers is common every where in our country except in Kolkata where the sharing auto rates are fixed.
On what basis do they quote such a high fare?! Really a nice video.
Media instead of questioning corrupt politician question a poor auto drivers... because poor doesn't have choice
❤️ #KANNADA am dying to head back to Whitefied.
Please make this a movement of twitter and raise the voice of common people
the metre fares should be reivsed every 6 months. It will be good for all
Rapido is working quite well for me in Bangalore as I can add a tip upfront when rickshaws are not available. I will pay more but there is no haggling.
Really good option to have every metro station
Rishika just wants to claim her travel charges as business expense. Way to go Rishika 👏👏
😁😁😁 you deserve to go by bmtc itself..
@@jebe19frecciaauto drivers are looters
NONE of the Auto driver s uses meters, it is better transport dept asks them to remove,
And Govt should allow more no.of autos to operate,
Govt should allow shared taxi and auto services , which will help in last mile connectivity from metros , and also decongest thee traffic,
Which also helps common man for commuting.
Excellant service ur doing to make people talk on relevant issues. But only thing I request is avoid black clothing instead of aping western music band & other communities.I hope to see some Indian ness style with Bluru pple.Thanks.
Yes we need more prepaid counters
a useful video! thank you
Thank you. Keep following us for more such content!
Bangalore auto drivers are a menace!
Totally agreed
Sir meter 1.5😂😂😂 in the beginning I thought it was 1.5 extra then I understood it's double the meter. Once from silk board to bannarghata I paid 700 rs😢 got fooled. Reason his meter was faster than usain bolt
Werin cab was just 380😂😂😂😂
After traveling last week banglore in auto from goguntapalya metro station to morden bakery is rs 100 for 1.2Km
More respect to mumbai auto driver 1.5 km for 23 rs
Govt should introduce metre or App system were both commuters and drivers are in win win situation.
so we have prepaid at metro, what if someone wants to goto metro from home?
pay 150 to go and rs 75 to come back?
Ask your areas MLA to make pre paid auto counter in front of your home 😁😁
Namma yatri app shows
Trip 1 - Rupees 63-73
Trip 2 - Rupees 80-90
Trip 3 - Rupees 101-111
Nice Video ❤
However, I tried taking an auto at around 3PM from MG road metro station prepaid auto stand to ulsoor lake, and they all denied saying it was too close
Prepaid auto counters should be opened in almost all the metro stations and should be working from 6.00 AM to 10.00 PM
Thanks for this excellent video
Good very good my sister God bless u
Ok so auto fares were revised in 2021. But they were not going by meter even that time.
we need more prepaid auto counters
Amazing work ❤
Appreciate the effort. But with a camera around, how genuine are the reactions?
People who are commenting on auto rides here have never driven an auto for a day in Bangalore traffic. Please remember that everyone at their respective work places gets salaries, perks, incentive bonuses, onsite opportunities to change careers, tc. But an auto driver has one auto AND HIS skill is only driving an auto. Imagine that, in spite of fuel price increases, rates have never changed by the government for the base price of the driver. I am here commenting because twice my life was saved because of auto drivers who helped me reach the nearest hospital. I have seen the CEOs of big companies travel by car even when their office is not more than 200 meters from their residence and comment on social media about Bangalore traffic and autos. Having a large US DEGREE AND EXPERIENCE IN THEIR RESPECTIVE FIELD does not make anyone a society leader. WHATCOLLECTIVE CONTRIBUTION HAVE WE MADE IN HELPING EACH OTHER MATTERS?🎉
I'm also auto driver
That 1st auto driver ask 100 rs but meter is 74 rs
Asking only 26rs extra
Not asking 500 and 1000
Please understand
All auto drivers asking meter fare + 20 to 80rs extra
Please Understand All Public
Prepaid auto good.... but autos are disgusting all over here in delhi and everywhere. Don't remember the last time i went in auto. Dont ever want to deal with auto fra..ds. again don't want to genralise. But Bengaluru auto drives seem ! Seem much better than cr.p her in delhi.
Make video of rapido bike taxi
Worst of the kind definitely... Even Mr Srinivas was definitely wrong. Try this being a single man they can be seen in a different avatar altogether. Khaali hogtivi is a biggest joke
The best auto prepaid service is in Mysore
Thanking you for making this vedio
