Without a doubt the best buggy pound for pound in my eyes. You get a fairly good esc and slightly improved motor as standard and many kits out there with cva''s in the box too. Plus they are great buggies that can handle plenty of power should you choose to push it a bit.
I dunno why people hate on the dt-03.. they’re a great value. I plan on getting one sometime this spring.. they’ve got that old school look, and modern-ish chassis.. great car!! Congrats Chief
I really like these buggies and I think this one is going to be a real ripper for sure! I love all the cool hop ups Chief Engineer was able to get along with it! Those red bits should really pop!! Have fun with the build and I am looking forward to seeing it! I got the sticker in the mail the other day and they will be making an appearance on the channel soon!
It should be a good one, Ive seen the Chassis together and looks good, need a design for the shell though. I’m glad the stickers finally arrived, post is annoying here at the mo 👍
The DT-03 (Neo Fighter/Racing Fighter) and the TT-02 Subaru BRZ I think are the 2 best bargains out there. And so many hop ups available! Have fun building...I know you enjoy that part like I do. Can't wait to see this one racing around!
@@RCsoandso the c-hubs in the front for sure. The plastic ones break almost on the first run. And for design reasons the rear knuckels and the mounts look at least nice and fit perfect😉
Great value for money kit lads! With those hop ups that's guna be a very capable and fun buggy. With ya on those Super stock motors, we regularly use the RZ, TZ, and BZ in our Tamiya's. They are a very good match for most Tamiya kits and certainly give them the perfect amount of 'nip factor'.... and, are nicely compatible with the stock tamiya ESC's. Look forward to seeing this bad boy running! 👍 👍 👍 👍
@@RCsoandso Yes fella, nicely engineered motors that perform well, sound great and are a joy to work on. Who needs brushless in these types of kits?! I've found all the superstock series perform very similar, I generally base my decision on what colour Bell end matches the car best..... woops, I mean end bell! 🤣 😂 The RZ definitely seems to have a bit more punch though, possibly due to its lay down brush design. But in reality, can't go wrong with any of them mate! 👍 👍 👍 👍
@@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC my rule of thumb, and I’m not sure where I got this from, I put RZ in road cars and BZ in off road ones. But I drive both on all surfaces, but for me the BZ is my favourite as I like the noise 🤔😂👍
I want to buy two of them, one for my son and one for me. The0 DT-02 is such a pretty runner, so I guess it must be a brilliant runner. Have fun, I am curious how your buggy will come out.
Great chassis at a brilliant price chaps! You can’t go wrong with this buggy. Bit of weight up front and there is no stopping it! It will wheelie beautifully with that BZ motor too. Rear tyres will be slicks in about 2 packs with you two 😂🤣
@@RCsoandso they tell you not to have anything lower than a 25 turn with their escs and believe it or not some of the hobby wings come in their cars now. And I find there escs frustrating to use. And they're waterproof the hobby wings. And I can use a lipo with them I have to hook there's up to a a monitor for the battery except for the TBL e04.
Hi guys. Hey that is indeed a bargain and as you know these things are pretty solid. Looks like you got all the right hop ups too. The good thing with this particular kit is that the supplied tyres are actually decent. Best wishes and have fun with the build :-)
@@RCsoandso thank you very much appreciated it I have been around for a while 😂 but I'm always happy to learn more about all sorts and happy to support 🤘
Hi there and a very hot deal, and going to be even hotter 2WD buggy. Red alloy hop up parts hmmm…….what are we going to have as the colour? Bright yellow? Bright green?…..we’re going to have to wait and see 😊😂😊

I must say we have used this now a few times and so far it has done its job well! The price is fantastic for what you get 👍

I like the proportions it has, also it has loads of hop ups available 👍
It’s a really nice buggy, might be better than the Tt-02b maybe 🤔
@@chiefengineer4330 no chance!
The DT-03 is a great chassis. Easy build and fun to drive
Looking forward to seeing this one running and finished 👍
It’s a great addiction to the family
Terrific! its like Christmas in February!! Should be an awesome build!
But less tinsel 😂👍

It does seem good value. I have no idea on the final design will be though, so that should be exciting 🤔👍
Always looking for a Tamiya bargain
Rising Fighter !
Great decision. Those cars are great for the money and you just addade the right hop-ups. Looking forward for more.

It's one hell of a great deal!
Yes its a great price for what you get, and it performs really well. It is a sound investment 👍
It’s a good starter buggy, but would be better with a slipper clutch option. That one option could allow the beginner to even start racing.
That’s true, for a starting point to test the water it’s kind of ideal. Hop ups are great for it 👍
🤩Nice buy and love the hop ups
Very red and shiny, logic would dictate it should be red, but who knows 🤔😂👍
I’ve got an idea in my head for this one

Two would be ideal, whizzing around, and good wholesome fun 👍
In the US we have that candy green grasshopper that's coming back out and it was 93.10 at Tower hobbies in the US.
Was that with Torque tuned motor and an ESC tho 🤔
@@RCsoandso no it wasn't but it's cheaper than the original grasshopper. But even with a torque tune motor it's going to be about the same price.
We might get one, one day

It does seem a good price, so much so I think my brother-in-law has just bought one. Extra tyres is not a bad plan 🤔👍
@@RCsoandso depends… if you are on the tarmac slicks for the win dude!!
You know the stock ESC they give you if it's not hobbywing will not run the bz motor.
I run BZ in most of mine with Tamiya ESC, always works, you do not need a Hobbywing

Tamiya ones are cool they run out others no problem
Does the kit come with all that aluminum and bearings
Sadly no, but with the price savings for the kit it means that adding the hop ups is affordable, and you have an amazing buggy for the money 👍

Its good it has decent tyres as this sometimes is the downfall of Tamiya models 🤔😂👍
I've seen this type of Buggy run on 3300 KV. What you guys won't touch brushless systems.
BZ is good enough
Yes it is
It’s a great deal 👍

I’m almost worried to find out, personally I always go for black aluminium parts, but the Chief Engineer is a bit more of a magpie 🕊️
Ship all the plastic bushings off to Blue Peter!
I think they no longer even want them!
I’ve added them to the collection 😂
Even Blue Peter probably prefers ball bearings to bushings now!!
@@guymarotta2596 are they making Tracy Island again then 🤔😂

25 kg is overkill for this buggy.
We use these as standard
@@RCsoandso I would put no more than 12 kg in mine.
@@bradkalman2353 it’s worth overkill just incase it gets used in another, transmitter slows it down
The add-ons are worth as much as the car.
That’s true, but as the car is a good price it is a good one to invest in upgrades with 👍
