I watched an interview with him that was really sad as he talked about how serious he takes his impressions and how hard he is on himself after struggling with depression and cutting himself while he was a cast member, and then how he came in and was told he was being replaced as Trump by Baldwin and how he felt betrayed in a way. I can’t imagine him watching Baldwin almost mocking Trump instead of an actual impression like Hammond did. Very sad how he was treated

The only thing I didn't notice him doing was the over-the-top hand motions. If he remembered those, I'd say he could seriously confuse people.

Alec Baldwin was good as Trump for the first skit he had ever done in that roll, but after that it was all downhill and nauseating now
Lorne replaced him because he was doing a accurate impersonation of Trump, he didn't want that. What he wanted was someone to be the liberal's idea of Trump for propaganda reasons / to try and influence how people would vote, that meant that the impersonation had to be extremely negative all the time and make Trump look as bad as possible and Baldwin fit the bill. SNL became Democratic propaganda once it was established that Hillary was the Dem nominee and Trump was the GOP nominee, so they made Hillary look extremely good in comparison to Trump as a rule from that point forward. One skit even showed Hillary having a party saying she won the election already, that was the skit they made about the "grab em" tape that leaked a few days before.
To those who never actually saw the real debate being mocked here: This was surprisingly not that far off. Symbolic but dead on.

So I really don't understand why you would ask such a stupid question..... probably someone who craves attention, and getting thumbs up by other people.
I think Baldwin does a much better job. Baldwin looks more like Trump and sounds more like him but in a kind of overemphasized exaggerated way. Which, if you look at the history of impressionists, is what they tend to do. Take Rich Little for instance and all the famous people he impersonated. He's pretty much spot on but just in an overexaggerated way.

Yeah it feels less passive aggressive and more funny
SNL made a huge mistake replacing Hammond with Baldwin. Alec has too much hate while Darrell puts some creative passion into his work. Alec is too bitter.
