Online social networking is never about the well-being of individuals and families.
Facebook's model is simple...bet on massive numbers of people addicted to sharing massive amounts of data, about themselves.....and caring LITTLE about how that data is sold, used, or what influence it might eventually provide. It's been their buissness model from the begining. Many people in Tech...have stayed away from Facebook..for that very reason.
