These are the biggest raises l've seen in a contract since l've been here in the last 16 years. Pension will not come back. Company is 60 billion plus in debt. Meets my expectations but, l got my finances in order regardless. I make great money at Boeing. With the pay grade bumps, it surpasses the 40% target for some. I know people expect more but- greed at at a time when a business is already struggling, meeting in the middle and moving forward may be the best plan of action. In my opinion if this strike continues more than thirty days we will hurt the company. Is that the intention of workers? Then what? More-
    Layoffs? Off loading?
In my experience throughout my career at Boeing I have learned one important lesson: "The union may win the battle!
BUT the company will win the war! "

Maybe that's because there hasn't been a new contract in 16 years

BA announced massive loss today. Hope the strikers have mercy by voting yes. BA needs big help or it may go out of business. It will be a lose lose scenario.

We do not care about any of that! They have been destroying us for decades and refusing to listen to us when we tell them what problems are going on so this is a self inflicted wound. They haven't given us a raise in 16yrs meanwhile the cost of living and inflation kept climbing to the point we can't afford to live in the area we work in. Even worse now McDonald's managers make as much as us! So now they offer us a 35% raise but over the next 4yrs, after not giving us a raise for 16yrs. This isn't a raise, it's a joke! But they were sure laying themselves! The CEO that killed all those people in those 2 plane crashes got $80 million when they fired him and the vice president under him got $50 million and that's not including the other Executives and their bonuses and let's not forget the record profits the shareholders received.
