    If this was their first offer, it probably would've passed by a large margin.
    imo the problem is it's first and second offer was done so poorly it looks like it was intentionally bad and now this offer was good but too many abstained b/c of too many issues like threats of layoffs even though it was a good deal.
    Now they're going to need to include no layoffs of any mechanics or union members and that will probably pass legitimately.

      I have worked at Boeing as a contractor in a union shop (SPEEA), and I've never seen such lazy, entitled whiners in my life, not before nor since. My coworkers' idea of a "hectic day" was two phone calls and a photocopy. You should've taken the first offer. Your pension is never coming back; that's a ridiculous fantasy. You're looking down the barrel at layoffs and making threats with no leverage. You're low-skill workers with barely a GED, and you're competing with a global workforce whether you get that or not; you can be replaced by any of six billion people, and you refuse to believe it. Your employer isn't your mommy. They don't love you. They owe you nothing. You serve a business purpose to them until you don't.

      @DaveAnderson-ic6oo 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      He’s trying to say that real machinists aren’t assemblers and laborers. Machinists have skills that take years to learn. Assemblers just screw on bolts and fasteners. 99.9% of people alive couldn’t do the job. I work with tolerances plus or minus .0001 all the time. If you breathe on it, it changes size. Cut it too big or too small and it’s junk. No second chances. You can’t just glue material back on. Some parts cost thousands of dollars or more. The stress is ridiculous. No I don’t work for Boeing but I’ve ran some of their parts. It takes actual skills that most people don’t possess. Anyone who thinks it’s easy is delusional. Anyone can do assembly work.
