These cleaners are so easy to make and healthier for your family:) Plus the essential oils would leave your house smelling so good! I love your kitchen and home and your cabinets are so beautiful. Thanks for the video😀
I just ordered everything I need to make the glass cleaner & hand soap. Anxious to see how good they work. My Husband & I have sensitive skin so am trying to get away from all the chemicals in products. Even though we are in our 70’s it’s never too late to do better!
It is never too late! We have slowly made changes over the years and we have been happy with them since. I hope they work to your standards and that you are able to use them on a daily basis as we do. They save a lot of money and time too!
I recognize your name! I just got your Christmas card today and had filled yours out this evening! We moved from Beverly Hills, FL , Citrus County 10 years ago this November!
Love these! I live anything that uses essential oils for their properties instead of just smell. They are so beneficial in many ways! Thanks for sharing!
Love this video and the cleaners! Very useful info. Are the recipes listed somewhere or do we need to copy from the video! Thanks so much and yes, more cleaners please!
I am working on something at the moment. Hopefully, it will be done by the middle to the end of summer. It will have printables for many recipes I do videos on 😉
Hi, Angela! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I've always used the store-bought cleaners because I thought THAT was what clean was, smell and all. I'm 46, a mother of 5 with 2 still at home, and started transitioning away from store-bought only last year. Wanting to start using cast iron, too, but that's a slightly different topic lol I, too, would love to know your shower and fridge cleaners. I'm also wondering what your recipe is for cleaning the stove and maybe the oven. The all-purpose cleaner seems to work fine for the stove so far, though.
You are so welcome! Yes! When you get granite installed, they make you feel like you have to buy the crazy expensive specific cleaners only, or your granite will be ruined forever! Rubbing alcohol not only cleans and disinfects, but it also polishes granite countertops. Vinegar will damage your granite over time, but rubbing alcohol does not damage sealed granite whatsoever! 🙂
Thanks for sharing. Yes I would like to see the other cleaners. It will be a while before I get to try these. I just had total knee replacement, but can't wait to be able to make them and try them out. Do you use the wood cleaner on your kitchen cabinets? Thanks.
For our tile I use a very gentle, non acidic soap and some warm water. Our floors are travertine so they are a pain to clean because they are a VERY porous stone. I have ruined a couple of them and they are now etched because I used a neutral floor cleaner with orange in it.
what is the concentration of the rubbing alcohol? Thank you for sharing the recipes, the most important part, besides the cost and efficiency, is the lack of strange ingredients you find in the commercial cleaners
Exactly! Even some plant based ones I've noticed have ingredients that are not great. I looked up the scientific names they list then as and they are in regular commercial cleaners, too. I am using 91% Isopropyl Alcohol in my cleaners.
I do not see why not unless the wood is not sealed. If it is not sealed I would not use it. I would test a very small area first, but I have used this cleaner on all my wood surfaces and it has worked well.
It adds just enough abrasion to gently but effectively cut through grime without scratching your glass. It's a natural abrasive. That was a tip that was shared with me from a professional window cleaner many years ago!
Are the essential oils required for these cleaners to work the way they're supposed to? I have none and no money to splurge. The struggle bus is real 😅
@rockymountainhomesteadangela awesome! Thank you so much for sharing your recipes, as well as replying. I appreciate it. I plan to stock up on essential oils at some point. But still need good cleaners in the meantime!

@@rockymountainhomesteadangela yep, we bought the 25.00 cleaner from them 🤦🏼♀
The oils doesn't negatively affect the granite? Thank you so much for sharing these.
Thank you so much for sharing. I'd like to ask what do you use or would you use on tile floors? I know many cleaners can be harsh on the grout
Please, please share your other home made products. They have already been tested and approved by your lovely family (and that is a lot of testing 🙂)

Can you use the wood cleaner on a very old antique piano?
I do not see why not unless the wood is not sealed. If it is not sealed I would not use it. I would test a very small area first, but I have used this cleaner on all my wood surfaces and it has worked well.

Can you tag here the other video you did for more home cleaning recipes?
The cleaners that have soap in them , do you needs to rinse after use?
Nope, I have not needed to. It's a small amount, so it doesn't leave behind any soap residue.
Could I add avocado oil to soap mixture?
Absolutely

I hear ya. No, the oils are not essential. They do have added benefits from their properties, of course, but not necessary.
