This guy is literally the only one on youtube promoting this game. I appreciate this interview but I would be cautious with his words. Because FoW isnt a healthy game anymore, and hasnt been for years. Just because Ruler tells us that it is doing well, it doesn´t mean it is on a global level.
While we aren't saying it's anything as big as it was at takeoff, what we are saying is that it is still around and certainly trying it's best to improve from the mistakes of the past and is worth giving another shot.
Right on I'm excited, I have about two 5K boxes filled with force of Will. I purchased all of it from my local cards store who didn't want anything to do with it anymore. I still have a lot of sealed products from it as well.
Well, now is a good time to get into it then, we are getting Pilgrim Memories, which will add support for all the Grimm Cluster rulers including Christie/Helsing! Plus we already got an Extension Rule which lets you tag 2 Grimm Rulers for some extra synergies
We are actually trying to bring back the game to chile, great game indeed only we need more players (actually we are 11) and a official store... Our distribuitor DEVIR dont have fow products....
That's frustrating for sure... I sadly don't know how to help push distros to get product, BUT I do know carddodoko is a great online resource to get product internationally!
Thank you for the interview, and hope others will at least look in and try out the game. With so much tribalism in today's gaming it is nice to see when content creators and communities crossover, and share about their respective games.
I would be interested in getting back into the game. But as far as I'm aware there is zero community for the game in a 50 mile radius from me. I havent even seen anywhere selling product in person. I knew the game was still around and hearing the changes has me hyped. But that was my main reason for quitting was because it just sort of phased out everywhere around me
The online community has certainly expanded greatly and we have webcam play and events frequently. Getting plugged into the discords can help you find players near you, and you can always work to try and rebuild a community near you as well!
One of the best TCG ever made, If people would give it the chance again and stores would give it even a small chance it would take off again better then the first try.
It takes up shelf space for a product that might sell a pack or two here and there that's room that could go towards something that actually makes money. It's on life support and it's just not worth it to sell. Just let it go
@@170skeith The avg box of the current set opens like $200 worth of cards as the player base goes up constantly. There is a difference tournament every weekend.

Well As one of the guys who helped run GP Events back when Robert was TO, I do miss the actual game, but the DRASTIC power creep along side the horrible releases after Millenia of Ages really killed it for us. I wanted the game to take off and keep its stride going but the community situation that happened after the fallout of Robert having to leave the company made it quite difficult to continue. I remember helping distribute the corrected versions of all the time space rulers that were misprinted... and how we had 1000s of them in the store. That was wild. The game doesnt look the same anymore but good to see it is still going. I just know so many who lost a ton of money from the game which really stained it for the area.
It's a different game than it was for sure, but the game has come a long way and the new company is doing a lot of great work that has really improved their communication and handling of product releases. No more MOA level errors, and any hiccups are addressed by the company very quickly!
I love this game and hate that it didn't take off as much as it deserved to. I never got a chance to really play competitively because of that and haven't bought anything in years, but it was the only TCG my wife was willing to learn to play so at least I got that.
We have actually gotten more null support, and nyarlathotep/scarlet is actually about to get it's own extension rule! Time to come back and try it out!
Well reiya is the one that we talked about in this video about getting a new extension rule, plus a new j-ruler version for her. So not mikage directly, but his daughter! At least for now
When the game came out I was into mtg but I thought it looks interesting. I forgot about it later. Just now, I suddenly remembered it. Ive been searching for it. Buuuut... it looks like in Europe it's pretty much impossible to buy cards... so yeah no fow for me I guess
Speaking for the guy who made top 8 without a full sideboard, it’s not that we didn’t know what to put in, it’s that we were making a point that the deck was so absurdly powerful when played straight forward that it didn’t need one to perform.
So kind of yes and kind of no? In hearthstone you just get another every turn, and color doesn't matter..in fow you CAN get one every turn, and color does matter, much like lands mtg, you just don't need to worry about drawing them
When did you drop it? The current combination/ban list has done wonders to smooth things out, slow things down creep wise and make for a really diverse and enjoyable game
If you have the god hand and your opponent is asleep at the wheel, yes. Most of the time though the game takes 3-6 turns based on deck type.(agro, midrange, contol).
@@popo237 that's what everyone keep saying but I haven't seen it yet in any feature match, that's only logical since modern decks are equally busted both in defense and attack. I'm speaking for YGO but I'm pretty I could for MTG as well, especially since it depends on the format. What you say could be true for FOW instead, since it's more unbalanced than YGO (to my eyes) and surely more fast than MTG.
