Love that you did this video. I've continued to follow the game through the declines, and I have to say the management of the game has felt much better in the last couple of years under the new company. They released a very-well received by the fans 10th anniversary Ruler collector set, did a small supplemental set that was also very popular with players and is what an Aftermath-type product done right looks like, and while there have been some questionable decisions (the "new" card frame), I think they're doing a good job. I think their real problem is it's really hard to regain that trust with players and stores once it's lost, so even if you've turned your business practices around, how are you going to get anyone to notice or believe it?
As someone who has been making consistent fow content, THIS is our biggest issue. Exposure and a willingness for people to give the game another shot.if we could work on improving that, I think FoW has a real resurgence potential. That's part of why we are even launching a new circuit series for it ourselves, just to give stores and groups an easy on ramp/maybe start traveling to cons again to spread the word!

The release of MOA alone didn't kill the FoW card game. Yep! New set drops in 3 weeks, with worlds happening in October of this year!
Sure is. Had our prerelease 2 days ago for the new set. Had 14 people show up which isn't too shabby for a smaller TCG I'd say in an LGS.
And regaridng the problem of finding boxes to buy:
That's an US problem. Their preferred online card sellers are different than the EU ones. In EU you cna easily find singles and boxes.
Though most (of us) get our boxes vie LGS. of those 14 people on average everyone preordered 2 each.

keyforge?
Force of WHO.... 😂
If you have any WoW for sale I'll be the first in line.
FOLKS!
Quit blue-balling us with the double talk, roodie! Should we invest or not!? ( oДo)📈
All in. Credit cards. Maxed out. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Man I remember when FoW came out It had so much potential. I miss it to this day :( Such a great game one of my personal favorites.
can always come back. game's still going
i do love that game I just had to chooses between FoL or MTG thanks to income, i do still have my cards.
so force of will is like metazoo but without the 100k print run
Main difference being fow is a good, playable game with some good art. Metapoo is actually just a scam.
Wow $135! LOL.
If I had people to play FoW with I would be bullish on FoW. I have one of those FoW collectors boxes with superrare booster I never opened.
Filings of Will, the Taco that never dies.
When the economy takes a dump, how much food and water will a force of will box buy me? I like to ask questions just as serious as the card board king makes his videos.
Serious inquiry as someone who just watches when recommended
Do people seriously invest in you, Rudy, lose out. Then blame you for their stores closing? I found a video yesterday FILLED with what you probably describe as “Timmys” claiming they’ve gone broke or lost money from collections or their stores because of you.
Is it honestly your fault? Do you give them bad deals? Or are they just wastefully investing and shifting blame?
Force of will… so exciting to be on life support. Pull the plug on that vegetable.
Or…play it? It’s a wonderful game and that’s never changed. Very diverse meta and regular innovation in design space.
It's a great tcg, and the cardstock is the best in the industry
I still have an unopened Ghost in the Shell set box and “commander” deck on my shelf. Love the card quality but rip the game though.
Has anybody heard of anybody actually playing this?
Yep! We even had a world championship in 2023 and are launching a new circuit for the game! Small pocketed community for sure when compared to other games, but still being actively played and enjoyed!
I played and enjoyed it years ago
The pump is real people.
The best current TCG remains Keyforge. It has an incredibly diverse meta, 0 netdecking, and the most innovative new sets.
Yawn
