If you liked the contents of the White Tower I would recommend a journey the the Historic Royal Dockyards Portsmouth where next to HMS Victory you will find the Mary Rose exhibition of King Henry the V111 flagship raised from the mud and displayed in the building with thousands and thousands or weapons and possessions of the crew. It is a truly amazing exhibition
I live your commentary. And that your enjoying London. Now get yourself on the train to York and enjoy our Yorkshire hospitality. You'll be shocked and delighted with the cities, towns, villages, and forests, moors, beaches we look forward to welcoming you.
Keep telling wifey that we need to go back to England and visit everything that needs visiting. Have you scoped out Churchill’s underground war rooms? That’s on my list for sure. Enjoy England! Happy travels!
I see you had your fish and chips at Poppies. We always end up one night at Poppies, as its famous for its food. Also within easy walking distance of most of the westend theatres|
If you’re into old European armoury, try to get to Stockholm and go in the Palace armoury there. Unbelievable. Not quite so extensive as ours in London but the different types of weapons and centuries old items on show are worth the visit. Also research The Vasa ship in Stockholm. You need to get there. I spent hours just staring at it from a bench. I work in London from time to time and walk past this heading into The City and I’ve never been inside!
Absolutely & totally agree. The Wallace Collection is a reasonably-unknown jewel. Plus it's free to enter and it's also just 2 blocks north of Selfridges, so it's easy enough to get to.
Roger Rabbit did alright for himself! Some women quite like a varminty-looking geezer (albeit a slightly niche market), especially if they seem likeable and interesting.
Wise advice to take it slow. Your aren't (even nearly) going to see everything in one day, one trip or possibly even one lifetime so don't try. A lot of this stuff has been here 500 or 1000 years, it'll wait for you to come back as we hope you will!
This 'Redneck' is a very sophisticated tourist. I'm looking forward to following him on this trip.
if you ever go back to the tower of london, take the tour by the yeoman of the guard. really good history lesson.

If you make it back over & cared to venture further North to the Royal Armouries in Leeds - they've got elephant armour!😁
If you liked the stuff in the tower you should go to the Royal Armouries in Leeds
For arms and armour, Did you visit the Wallace Collection?

He’s a lovely guy. He looks like a varmint, so I don’t know how the poor soul would ever pull a bird.
Looks aren't everything ...😊

Awesome stuff, but I’m embarrassed you had to eat that imitation fish and chips. Please go to a proper fish and chip shop, please
