i used a piece of rope to get the pinion nut off. air or battery impact works great

that's a great idea. I'm assuming you used the rope to bind up the pinion gear at the toothy side?

nice vid you should get a longer 1/2" ratchet I like the canadien accent

the ratchets i use mostly are a standard length. currently from a big stanley kit. i have many. one that extends from 8 inch ish to a bit better than a foot. if i really need to break something free there is always numatic impacts in my tool kits as well as a 3 foot ish 1/2 inch breaker bar. than a snipe bar on that if needed but i only needed that once breaking a ball joint free on my truck.

another dumb question here is how tight to torque that weird threaded circle hex nut down and do you put lock tite on this too and thanks if you answer and thanks for the videos

For that external threaded pinion nut. it does want non permanent thread locker and i think the torque was 101 FT/lb. the details are in the part 9 video.

Hi Ron do you have to pack these bearings with grease before you insatll them because I did not oops maybe

some assembly lube wouldn't hurt i guess. i never did either. they are oil bathed and you want to keep stuff that's not wet clutch friendly out of the system.
