Thanks for the breakdowns as always. I don't blame you for being down on the game. This game is absolutely the worst in terms of pulls I've ever played, and I've played over a dozen. I invested the last money I will ever invest in it for the guaranteed pulls of Professor Ryza and Isana, and if the pulls continue to suck so horrendously, I'm dropping it. It's not balanced enough to be fun without options, and it doesn't give enough to be worth the trouble. If it weren't for the saved up guarantee to get any unit, I would have quit almost immediately months ago even if I enjoy Atelier series enough to try it. Better luck to us all.

We need to continuously emphasize how particulary shit the gacha is in this game. It seriously needs to be remedied. It's such a shame because it really brings down the game at a lot where in other gacha games, even those with awful rates like Hoyo games it doesn't hurt the enjoyment nearly as much as Resleriana's does.
I don't wanna be "conspiracy guy" here, but I have the same situation with pulling. Lately 100+ (big plus but i lost count) for Totori or Rorona... nothing. I saw one of the comment with Christmas Resna being last good one got. Idk... maybe devs are trying sth out wanting to see how players will react.
@@orakatokansek It does feel that way and "coincidentally" around that guaranteed 3-star event. It's still probably me just "crying" that I didn't get Winter Totori, but it does seem weird.

Yeah, I completely understand the pull luck. Totori rewarded me nicely but otherwise I have had to go way deeper than 100 pulls to get any on-banners (which I only did for Christmas resna). I think one thing that'd really help is that they just let free tickets count towards pity. It'd still take 7.5 banners of free tickets (~3.5 months) to hit pity anyway, which is standards f2p pity savings.
I think it's fine to start using better characters for the tower guides, especially launch pool 3*s. And I have no idea whet the story in Japan is doing but I saw the 3* Marion and she's adorable
Those Strike tower floors were REALLY rough, but thanks to Rose Val I was able to pull through all 10. I was even able to brute force the AoE floors thanks to her. Good luck to everyone else who has yet to tackle them.
Agreed, didn't have Rose Val at the time, and 7 and 10 were both a nightmare. Took me over 27 tries on floor 7 and 176 tries on floor 10. By the time all the luck finally came together just right for me to clear floor 10 I didn't even feel accomplished, just relief at it finally being over.
Sorry to hear the game's been lack luster on jp lately, but I very much still appreciate any content you provide us on global, I was literally refreshing all day yesterday hoping for this video, unfortunately had to go to bed before it came out but still glad it was waiting for me in the morning. I'm the kind of gullible fool who gets too attached to the characters and then had to pull and pull until they get both Val and Heidi so they can be together, so I now have both and a very empty wallet 🙃curious what kind of equips you'd recommend for Heidi. You mentioned since she doesn't benefit from buff traits maybe you could go phy stun euips/traits, but with her auto-break burst and enemies apparently going to later reach a point where they're only stunnable with auto-stun, I'm questioning if I should be going for something else.
Yeah I need to get back to doing gear guides lol, but just in general phys stun is fine on her - enemies get harder to stun, hard enough that it's often not worth it, but not impossible
Have Corneria and strike Val at lvl 80, still can't clear strike floor 7 lol... didn't try for hours like some, but yeah I dunno what to do. Hopefully your upcoming vid doesn't use Ancestral Doctrine battle items to clear it, as that item is not easy to get. Edit: Never mind, just beat floor 10 on my own. Used Rose Val + Corneria + Lent + Sup Lydie + Sophie for floor 10 getting it done after about 10-15 retries, and once I had Ancestral Doctrine for floor 7 it was easy using cdmg gear on Corneria with Bolt Resna.
it sucks firis isnt good, BUT i really need more ice units so getting her isnt a total loss for my account personally. need to progress the ice tower, and the aoe floors will be made a *tad* easier with her.
Congrats! They're an incredible combo, and from what I understand still are to this day on JP, as Rose Val has only gotten better as content has gotten longer, and Heidi has only gotten better as enemy stun gauges have gotten larger.

Hard to say, they have technically "buffed" all the characters once already via the addition of leader skills, but that's the only post release buff I'm aware of. I believe one of the developers involved was also involved with dokkan battle which has now added mechanics to buff older units not once (dokkan awakening), not twice (hidden potential), not thrice (Extreme Z Awakening), but four times (Super Extreme Z Awakening), but that game has been around for 9 years, so even if they do have anything planned its likely still a long way away. Unless I'm mistranslating her passive (and japanese is very much not my native language so I might be) it sounds like she's got a pretty solid leader skill on jp for what thats worth, I believe she gives all allies the Adventure trait and +8% Physical and Magic attack. While there are leader skills that give bigger boosts, and I'm not sure what value there is in having the Adventure trait, doesn't seem like theirs a lot of universal leaderskills, and that kind of a boost seems like it'd be useful to any team, regardless of composition. I'll also add that I think this Firis is a little under rated by the community, she suffers more from her element then anything, as Ice is kind of over populated relative to other elements, but she's not really an ice support, she's a universal AOE debuffer that can help out any character or memoria that needs the enemy to be "weak" to them, especially AOE skills, such as her banner's Heidi's burst. She definitely has a wonky kit (really should have had a larger debuff but no attack on her S2, and its incredibly dumb that most enemies resist most status, status resist, if a thing at all, should have been very rare), but I don't think the former is necessarily a death blow to her, and the latter could change depending on the content we get in the future, there's no rule that requires most enemies be brittle resistant like they've been so far. To be clear, under rated does not mean she's secretly S tier, I don't think she is, Angela had a good break down of her and her flaws, just that people are acting like she's useless which I don't think is valid, not being an S tier doesn't make you bad, just that of the two characters on the banner, you'd rather get Heidi if you can only get one.
Yeah Empel is a solid pull if you didn't already have him, the combo of his s2 and his crazy high patk boosting passive was essential for me in clearing strike floor 7 and 10, and as you say, he'll be useful for Roman tournament as well.
I don't think Heidi is a good spark personally if you're limited on medals. I'd go for Totori usually, but if your main team is rose val she loses value
If Gal Ryza is on your list, then you should probably wait until her banner's over to decide who to spark. If you have Gal Ryza, spark Heidi. Otherwise, save and wait for your academy banners results. I'd personally advise against sparking Heidi, since we have strong units in the near future like Yukata Claudia or Academy Resna.
@@atelierangela I was on the fence about who to spark for this exact reason but eventually sparked Totoria and haven't regretted it, even though I'm not currently using her as a unit, the number of optimal synthesis paths she opens up really is a game changer, Ruven -> Totori -> Phantom Egg is the optimal synth path on like 80% of my gear. All that said, if I didn't have the money to chase Heidi, I might have also sparked Heidi just because Val and Heidi belong together. Which isn't a gameplay reason to do it, but some times you just gotta follow your heart.
@atelierangela thank you for the advice. Regarding de the rates I believe they changed something. On Izana banner I spent like 12 k paid gens and 15k free gems and didn't got her. I got a bunch of 3 stars from general banner when there is supposed to have higher rate the promotional character. I even got 3 of the 3 stars in 1 multi and no Izana. I have screenshot lol
I don't agree that firis's second skill is bad. my master ryza will stun in one hit only if sophie has previously thrown a debuff. you have to take mari just to finish it off. I always wanted the Sophie skill for everyone, it’s not critical to me that the debuff is for 1 turn, the main thing is to break everyone.
use the new memoria to get items to throw with ryza and take a better character. or a second aoe breaker. if you're using firis's skill 2 just to break with ryza, there's other solutions that are stronger if it lasted long enough to also give you damage after it would be a different story, but it doesn't.
@@atelierangela Most of the problems are caused by dungeons. I can’t afford to use items in every battle, so I have to take mari just to finish off the break. firis could do the same thing plus add a buff to the attack whenever possible.
@@MrEklair The main point is "Firis' skill 2 is bad". Using her skill 2 as breaker supporter is counterproductive, since Firis is a general support. The reason why i'll take defender sophie over support firis everyday, is because her skill 2 lasts for 2 attacks. supposed you have a strong enemy that is hard to break, that means after you break 'em, you'll need high dmg number to kill it off fast. sophie debuff -> break (+ buff) -> dmg (+ buff) is the standard combo for the highest efficiency. with firis, you have to remove one of the latter 2 steps, which leads to low dmg, or long run. You could argue that breaking all enemies soon will benefit your dungeon run. Yes, maybe, but the fact remains that firis loses 50% of her value since she can only either buff breaker or attacker for 1 turn. Break instantly + lose dmg, or buff attacker then wont be able to break, it's inefficient either way. You might end up using double breakers + general support or 2 attackers setup for better outcome and universal use. The main reason why her skill 2 is bad is because her skills are unscalable with traits, significantly lower her potential debuff. that means if you want to force higher dungeon/floor/stages, your master ryza will eventually not be able to instant break anymore (not even mobs), render her new purpose useless from that point on. For personal use case scenario, we can find ways to work around her. But is she good? No. Not even mediocre tbh. I like her, but I can't deny the numbers.

I think I agree. I started playing at the end of Sophie banner and I've finally unlocked all FES characters after getting Oskar a month ago.
