Actually, black witch lydie is extremely good imo. I have almost all defenders and I've been trying and testing them a lot. Lydie rose up in value a lot since after the rose banners ended (alongside with Patty) . Breakers cant break enemy instantly, or they just wont knock them back on the timeline anymore, plus enemies hit extremely hard, so we def need tanky defenders with good utilities. Lydie has almost all of them (item charge, dmg buff/reduction, evasion for herself, evasion(?) for the team). Shes pretty versatile in terms of gear build, you can focus on buff or dmg reduction based on situation, very dynamic. RNG with her can extract some fun as well, since you can utitlize both her passive and her burst to minimize dmg for the team, good for number competition. Imo, she's S tier, especially for hardcore content.
A tier to me is very very good, I just don't think she's at the same level as Patty and Totori so she gets bumped down a little bit. Definitely a solid unit and it's nice that she has more defensive utility, but the lack of personal sustain is really rough if you don't have flocke (lydie heals aren't quite big enough). But yea she's for sure strong and there's an argument to put her in S tier

Even an OG Lydie with triple V all healing traits isnt quite enough to protect her. If I use her skill 1 too much, itll break my strategy, so there we go. We'll have more healer/ healing focused supporter , so I think lydie will be stronger then. Right now we dont even have flocke yet, so i def agree with you on lydie being A+. She gets another + to S tier imo cuz shes really cute ❤.

Well at least there's 40 days of singles for the banner, time settle in for daily prayer pulls. Also, on the "plus" side, I did pull YET more copies of Keithgriff, think I'm up to like 10 of him now since launch, gonna 5* him with out ever using the piece quest at this rate 🙃. Wouldn't surprise me if my final words on my death bed are "Keithgriff... please... no more... Keithgriff...." and my loved are are all going to be super confused. Great breakdown as always!
Yeah but you'll need other 3 stars like corneria, empel, etc. Not looking forward to making guides for it but I'll do my best lol it gets a lot easier if you pull literally any rose unit at least and you have over a month for that...

@@leonide101i think going for specific characters will give you an easier time. Meta wise, the School Resna-Sophie-Ryza is the strongest set. However, Resna and Sophie is on the same banner, so it's really hard to get both like you expected, unless you're super lucky, or whale. Right now Endgame content is AOE and Magic focus, but Rose Valeria's damage celling is insanely high, so she's there for future challenges. Rose comp (Valeria + Lydie + Flocke (+Heidi?)) rocks, but again, Lydie and Valeria are on the same banner. I suggest to secure Valeria and Resna first, especially Resna, since they're complete characters without high demands for the signature supports. Future banners can help a lot, so dont feel forced to pull the signature set. For example: School Rorona and Dress Marie can help Valeria burst like crazy, while Yukata Claudia is another insane support for Resna, all of them are future banners. If you still need to go fast and compete in leaderboard effectively, then: { Valeria + Flocke } and { A.Resna + Gal Ryza }. Hope this helps.
Im so torn between sparking sweater totori and rose lydie. Both lydie and totori are my fav girls from atelier but I dunno who to get. I got rose valeria and got xmas patricia from the select unit. I have a healthy mix of mag and phys atkers but lydie looks much more universal while totori buffs one certain type of dmg which izana would like too. I do plan to get both but which one would u recommend more? Sorry for the wall of text.
If you have Christmas Resna, go get totori. Eternal "Skill Power Up" trait + crit DMG up will always be secured. If you want to main Strike Valeria or wanna mess around with gear, pick rose Lydie, she's best for those thing (+ can be used in any team). If you want to tackle future competitive content, pick none. Since you already have patty, I'd say you're ok meta wise. Wait for Flocke banner and look around for academy team to see which do you want more, cause rn the strongest meta team is academy's. In short: totori for general use (magic only) + must have synthesis; Lydie for hardcore content + future competition, awesome utilities but less powerful.
I save up 24k lodestar for Rose Valeria and I got her on my 1st multi, I might push my luck and try to get Totori later. Looking forward to your guide on these characters!

Blasted off on gems in case I got Izana or Xmas Resna. 11 multi and two rose Lydie but I’m here for Val. Just off missing Totori, but getting there Rorona. Horrible luck but sitting on 600 legend medals. I just want to try make sure I can pry the academy team. At least I have Izana and Xmas Resna now
I got Totori 3 days ago from Daylie wish and don't think i will have this luck so soon again. My last limited from daylie wish was Damsel Meruru. So i spend all my free Gems and got Rose Valeria at the end but not a single SSR Memoria in 14 Multis. Now its time to claim Patty & CResna. Edit: got Cresna on step 4. Dont know which to choose now. Think i will take Lilie for Bolt Tower where is still sit at Stage 2.
If you stuck in bolt Tower, I suggest to get Breaker Logy. Best Bolt Breaker + Magic Stun Gift. If you're missing any of the 3 Goddess: OG Lydie , Master Ryza and Izana, choose 1 of them instead. If you want to main Rose Valeria and already got master ryza, get Empel. Strongest Physical supporter. He's good for OG Logy too.
@@luripu Sr mb, I didn't pay attention to the actual info since I didn't login yesterday. Either you go with Lila or Wilbell. Lila is best ice breaker, still very strong. Wilbell is also strong as an AOE fire dealer. If you already have those 2, then Lilie is next.
Wonder if the game hates or loves me, once again i got the Memoria but no chars at all... i could use some more variety of chars! edit: Also, is the basic banner still only the base 3*? It does not list even Sophie as a posibility... saved 70 pulls and in this case i will just wait, not even getting coins for a choice 3* makes it rather uninteresting to get any of them.
She's S tier, insane single target dealer. + the sexiest character, period. If you like her, spark, but after the banners end and you didnt get her from the dailies and gems. Be patient.
If it helps at all, this banner kicked me in the ovaries as well, and I spent more gems. While I did get a few 3*s, not only did I not need more copies of Keithgriff, who I don't use, but I've pulled him about 10 times now, so every time I see his quote and hear his voice its triggering PTSD at this point (exaggeration with out due respect to actual PTSD sufferers). The rest of the update is nice, though, lots of QoL stuff, so that's helping me deal with the summoning whiff. Normally when I get frustrated from bad summons I take a break from the game, but for me this feels like a bad time to do so with everything going on, plus the 40 days of free singles on the banner, even if I admit to not having high hopes to free single into Val.
12k gems thrown into the gutter except for Odelia (which I already have). I have 32k gems left but I want to save them for Sophie. Plus I finished the story without the banner girls
it seems the in-game rates suggest that the unit pool only got updated up to lydie + suelle, so at least cresna won't spook you

@@leonide101 academy comps seem to focus heavily on tiles which is not my favorite mechanic, so I prefer Rose for that.
