    Been having internal impingement issues for ages. This feels really nice after the sets are completed. Hoping that in a few weeks I will feel better doing overhead lifts. Done lots of lat and rotator cuff stretches without much success.

    Hi Zac, Do I do all four exercises together, one after the other for 2-4 weeks, or is it exercise 1 for 2-4 weeks followed by exercise 2 for 2-4 weeks etc?

    Hi Zac, I only got a small foam roller that covers only the upper portion of the lateral side of the ribcage. Does this make the first exercise less effective? Do I need a bigger foam roller to cover the whole side of the ribcage?

    Hi,
    I watched plenty of your videos now, and airflow seems to be the solution to a lot of restrictions.
    Although it sounds plausible, I really can't understand how soft breathing can alter the shape and the structure of a rigid ribcage. And even when the ribs bend a little bit more under the shoulder blades (we must be talking of 2, 3 mm), how can the function be that different?

    Good one Zac,
    In the diagram of rotation around 10:17 when you say the left upper back will expan backwards and right chest expand forward would that be making use of the right diapgragm leaflet to accomplish this motion?
    Also how does the diagram showing expansion/compression work, not sure how to read it correctly?

      Whatever side is expanding the diaphragm will be concentric.

      I was desperately waiting for the foam roller side lying one, refreshed your Z.C.E. channel each and every day, even tho I've got the bell activated. Only earlier this day I recognized you've had it online but unlisted 😤😤😤 same with inline prone and elevated frog pose 🤔

    Hey Zac can the first exercise work for either wide or narrow Isa? Would you want to compress the rib cage with the foam roller exercise if already a narrow

      It can if you are limited in front-to-back expansion, whcih most people are!

    Can I do all these exercises at once or do I start with the first one then after 2 weeks go to the next and so on

    • @ZacCupplesPT
      @ZacCupplesPT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would start with the first, wait a couple weeks, then do the next one.
      Most people rush through these, they don’t work as well that way

      @ZacCupplesPT  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@domenikschubert7147 it’s a bit more individualized than the vids. Some folks I can go through the progression quicker. Others longer. Others need different moves. I try to cast the biggest net and

    So I'm a rower and I usually have to breathe out of phase of the normal breathing pattern. The correct pattern is inhale as you compress, sliding into the catch, exhale as you drive. I have to do it the other way because it was so uncomfortable to compress with this ball of air in my stomach, and breathing this ways subtly messes up the rhythm of the boat. I've been doing this first exercise for about a week and noticed that the last time I rowed that I was subconsciously breathing in the correct pattern a substantial portion of the time without discomfort. Sometimes I would fall back into the incorrect pattern, but usually as things were becoming difficult, dealing with wake or a team drill. It was one of the best rows I have had in a while. I'm looking forward trying some of the other breathing exercises to open up the rib cage. Thanks

    I’ve been doing the first exercise for a little over a week and when I lie on the foam roller it no longer feels uncomfortable on my rib cage. Is this a good sign and is it time to move on to the next movement? Thanks!
